Lol I had to sight read this song back in seventh grade for all city orchestra aka I was in the top 100 kids in my city grade wise. Anyways we learned this song the day of the concert and I couldn’t play any of it because I was so bad at sight reading. The good thing was that I was all the way in the back so I just watched the kids in front of me and followed their bowing without actually playing. During practice the teacher kept saying someone was off in the back so I decided not to play during the performance lol. Good times

I love this performance, but the violas, cellos, and basses need to play longer and not short in the first few measures. The tempo is a little slower than its supposed to be. The tempo is fine in the beginning, but at measure 30, the actual tempo is about this played at 1.25x. The intonation is really good in this performance as well. It would sound better in measures 50-57, the violin ones, and violas were to play a little longer. If I was an actual judge, on a scale of 1-5 with 1 being a perfect performance and 5 being a very poor performance, I'll give it a 1.5! :)
I’m sure that they tried their best. I’m in 6th grade and it might be a little hard for younger students but no need to criticize them. They aren’t perfect nobody really is but as long as they tried their hardest and enjoyed the performance, that’s all that really matters. And I can see the effort come through.
ok so im playing this song rn in class and none of the parents know that nobody needs to know that and the conductor probably wasnt ready for them to play the actual tempo i bet if you played it you would have some flaws too its not easy and doesnt need to be perfect they sound amazing and you not the conductor so you have no space to tell them what they need to improve on its not your job its the conductors and im just saying no disrespect at all i swear im not that type of person

PaganiniGD I'm sure your orchestra is wonderful. This is not their top group. The grade these players are in varies from 6th to 8th.
