2:42 for all beginners out there watching this video, do not do this. Yes, drums have a bounce to them but do not solely rely on this especially beginners who need to work on their finger muscles. For a better explanation on how to do it, if you’re not already in band, im sure there are much better examples on the vast internet but, as a percussionist of 5 years myself, id suggest not taking her advice.
isn't it that you actually need to press it down and go in a slight circular motion to do it
@@user-sz4bf3uq6u you do need to press down to make buzzes but no, you shouldn’t go in a circular motion. For doubles, or “diddles” you use wrist and finger to get the extra double to make it consistent.

A couple weeks ago I started middle school and I’m in percussion class for band I just knew that her advice is not very good. She is barely even using her wrist.
