As a dentist, I find it very unethical when dentists butcher people's teeth like that. I understand the beauty standard of the time require it but it's equivalent to a surgeon removing a valves from a healthy heart because they're not "pretty enough"
Exactly. Veneers are ok, you don't need to remove most parts of the theeth, till nothings left. Who does that?
People abandon their scruples when there's money to be made. Besides, you don't need empathy to become a health worker. It's just a plus. Fucking depressing, but true.
As a dentist what's your opinion on permeant bridges I'm missing alot of teeth and can't afford implants but the idea of destroying good natural teeth for the sake of the bridge dosnt sit well with me also even with the permanent bridges bone loss would still be an issue please what are your thoughts

@@charlenedebraux3882 I'm sorry to hear that. Unfortunately, I can't really give you a solid answer without clinical examination or at least a panoramic x-ray.
That being said, a single implant can be loaded with multiple teeth, an entire arch can be loaded on 6 implants for example.
I'd recommend attempting to keep any remaining roots and possibly submerging them to reserve the bone until hopefully finances are a bit better in the future. You could also talk to your dentist about a removable partial denture because it involves minimal preparation of neighbouring teeth and would allow you to enjoy you food a bit better.
If you have a dental school anywhere around you, try looking into their master's program; sometimes doctors doing their master's look for volunteers so they might be able to fit you for implants for free or at least at half the cost if you agree to help them out with their thesis.

Maybe it's just me but the Barbie dolls I used to have when I was a kid had proportionate bodies. They had boobs but it wasn't that big. They had curves but it wasn't dramatic. They also have either thin lips or just the normal lips that you would see in your everyday women. To me they're (Stacey and Darcey) describing more like a Betty Boop kind of look and not Barbie. Anyways, even Barbie looks more realistic than them now.

I don't think she's underweight, she's just skinny and being skinny is not unhealthy, being "super" skinny is, and no, most women that I know who are skinny either just can't gain weight or are just thin, they don't have eating disorders. If you're bone thin then that may be alarming. It only gets unhealthy if you take wanting to have a body like Barbie to an extreme point where you are starving yourself which can develop serious conditions. Well, yes, Barbie might make us insecure about ourselves especially if we have annoying fats that we can't get rid of.

it looks painful AF. I had a friend who never lost her baby teeth. Her teeth actually looked like theirs when they were drilled down to those little nubs. She was always adorable, but her teeth made her look like a little kid. Skip ahead 10 years, and I randomly saw her with a new set of teeth, I kid you not, it made her go from cute to stunningly beautiful. But it was like you said, she had a medical reason to get them fixed.

I’m all for plastic surgery and freedom of choice but getting your teeth done like this is so bad for your dental and general mouth health especially when it gets to later in life. This will lead to early denture usage and though I would never shame any denture users just ask them yourselves they’re not fun to have to use.
