Focus on that noise and you can almost convince yourself that you don't hear the screams. By the time the tank is empty, everything is over, even the men are quiet. There's nothing but the crackling of burning thatch. You see, it's not the noise that keeps me awake at night. It's the silence.

The various characters and factions within Star Wars it's self was inspired by tons real-world historical setting. George Lucas mentioned countless times that the Empire faction within Star Wars was directly modelled after Germany during WW2, you can obviously see a lot of similarities with the uniform the Empire wore down to the hats, and boots, meanwhile the helmet worn by the iconic stormtrooper and Darth Vader design was taken from those of Imperial Japanese Samurai armor. The term stormtrooper was conceived by Germany ever since WW1 to refer to their version of shock troopers and later Sturmabteilung (Storm Detachment) troops by the SS during WW2.

Carr was one of the survivors of the Malmedy massacre he was front page of the news paper in New York I believe on Christmas Day everyone here found out about the massacre. I still have all the documents . He faked his death because they were prisoners with no weapons and endured a German boot kick to the ribs . If he moved he would’ve been shot in the head . He ended up getting rescued by the French and woke up in a hospital days later and that’s when the news was sent to his parents in America . Pretty crazy to think my whole family wouldn’t exist if he died that night . He was givin a bronze star by the president and was there during the trials which got the German commander executed

Wàr crïmes, just think it’s only gotten worse since then
and many crímes weren’t even mentioned in the video. Like against the Jàpanese, it’s said they would ràrely surrendùr because at the beginning of the wàr any Japanese soldiers that tried to surrender were kílled. Also, the US and allies dumped large quantities of toxíc wàr materíal in the ocean
and as we all know drþpped an atþmic weapþn on cívilians.
Also, what I mean that things have gotten worse is, we (the US) lied to start a wĂ r with IrĂ q. Used “enhĂ nced Ănterrogation”, which in realĂty is actually tĂžrture, large numbers of rĂ pes were hidden and many crĂmes never Ä«nvestigated
. But don’t forget, we are the “good” guys.

This is hardly half of the cumulative war crimes committed by the Allies on the Germans. The fire bombing of Dresden is probably the most notable. War is messy sure, but the concerted bombing of a city with no wartime industries which mainly served as a hub for refugees was done clearly with malicious intent. The only thing which stopped the allied use of chemical weapons was the threat of German reprisal.

Years ago, I read that Eleanor Roosevelt read a secret report of U.S. war atrocities that was made before the war even ended and was very concerned about such soldiers returning to civilian life after behaving so barbarically. There was a lot of alcoholism and wife abuse by veterans, undoubted some of it was a result of having to pretend they behaved better than they did. At this point, I'd like the U.S. to just admit we were not perfect, but the atrocities were not official government policy, just a lack of leadership and oversight. Also, honor any civil claims brought by the victims or their surviving families. It is probably too late for much compensation at this point, but if anyone sues and can document their claim, the government should try to settle.
