    It's easier if you just rip out the wheel well liner to make room for tires 👌

    Anyone else with a 2023 4Runner, these will hyperflash once the blinker is on for about 1 minute. Hopefully someone comes out with an anti-hyperflash for the newer 5th Gen 4Runners. They are going to change the 4Runner next year so hopefully someone still gives new 5th Gen's some love.

    I bought the previous version of Lasfit bulbs for my 4Runner and the hyperflashed inmediatly so I installed resistors and now the work just fine. Now I see this 2023 version promising they could fix the mistake without the resistor needed, but I see they measure the time they do keep working as should before heating and presenting the error again. My question to you: Do you think that a resistor would keep my actual bulbs from getting heated better than taking them off and installing the new bulbs, or the new version of the bulbs T3 would protect better than the resistor?

    They make is so damn hard to replace bulbs on 4runner.

    I like LED's, but brighter doesn't necessarily mean safer, in fact it can be the opposite by blinding glare for other drivers.

    • @DrivenCompanion
      @DrivenCompanion  Před 4 lety +1

      I agree with headlights and fog lights but I can't recall a time I felt blinded by blinkers. I like the increased visibility they offer when turning.

    Hi Mike, great video. When you ordered the LED switchback bulb, did you select the Standard or CK socket type? I have a 2015 Limited and hope the socket type doesn’t change for different trims.

    • @DrivenCompanion
      @DrivenCompanion  Před 3 lety

      You could try flipping them 180 degrees in the plug but sounds like either they are defective or maybe your 4Runner is a newer or older model than mine and there is some sort of decoder issue? I've had zero issues with them on my 4Runner, FJ and Tacoma though...

  • @anthonyporcarellosr3627

    Mike, will that same bulb work on a 2013 Toyota Tacoma 4WD vehicle, I looked online and it's a little confusing, BTW great video, thanks for your time and effort.

    Hello, I have a 5th gen 4Runner and repalced all my lights with LasFit Led Lights. I didn't go with the switchback for front. I have the LasFit 7443 Amber LED's for Front and LasFit 7440 LED for the rear. I now have a hyper flash issue. I tried to switch lights around to see if that would help with the issue and I'm still expierencing the same. Can you recommend any helpful advice, any is appreciated.

    • @osky7777
      @osky7777 Před 2 lety

      The issue didn't present itself until I switched out he rear lights with LasFit LED's then I got the Hyper Flash. Before then I had no issue with the front lights whatsoever.

    • @osky7777
      @osky7777 Před 2 lety +1

      I figured it out. I disconnected the battery for a few minutes then applied power. I guess that gave it time to reset itself. Now it runs great.

    • @DrivenCompanion
      @DrivenCompanion  Před 4 lety +1

      You could swap out a lot of parts and get close but it wouldn't be worth the effort. The 4Runner has great resale value so if you want a TRD pro I'd just sell yours and get a pro.
