- Sanda or Sanshou is the Chinese Boxing. It combines techniques from Kung Fu, Chinese Wrestling and Western Kickboxing. In this video, I demonstrate with my assistant Pierre 5 sanda techniques : kicking combos, two leg sweeps, one throw and the flying scissor.

Sanda is great. Boxing, elbows, knees, kicks, sweeps, throws and takedowns
Sanda is great for mma
Elbows and knees are not allowed.
@@user-cl2yu7bf6x In the Extrem Sanda modality yes, he even fights on the ground.
there arent elbows and knees
@@legendmobile4367 elbows and knees are in muay thai not sanda
To be honest I love this. I did Judo, Aikido, Boxing, Tang Soo Do and Capoeira and wanted something that mixes strikes throws and kicks cohesively, and never realised Sanda is what I shybe doing.
that flying scissor LMAO, lol thank you for the video and sanda is a very excellent art, keep it up!
That flying scissor is illegal if you are in an actual sanda fight, if you are able to do it in the air, the other fighter is taking points, because you should be stand up when his butt touches de floor
Yes good point
That's why I didn't practice this kind of takedown even if cung le is my favourite fighter ever 😆
Pretty sure it counts as a sacrifice throw
Why we never see flying scissor in MMA?
@@muhammadirfandi1148Cung Lee was a master of the scissors take down. And we don't see them because they're extremely complicated to execute and executing without harming the oponent's kneecaps. It's a very dangerous technique in Judo is also banned btw.
This is why I believe kung fu/ wu shu is the only complete martial art. It has kickboxing, grappling, takedowns and even use weapons. It's like mma but it's all under the same name. It's not judo combined with taekwondo kicks and a muay thai stance, it's all kung fu. It has everything in it.
What is the difference between wu shu and sanda?
@@hermes2245 wu shu is like the whole martial art which includes forms. Sanda is the kickboxing part of it.
@@hermes2245Wu shu is like martial gimnastics it has taolu which are the forms, weapons forms, acrobatics and beautiful stances. It's less effective in nowadays combat but quite demanding for the body, whereas Sanda is the combative forms that mixes Western Boxing, Shua jiao/Wrestling and some Kung fu kicks
@@arthemas8176Sanda punch from Changquan not Westren Boxing.
and that is what is called Da in sanda, slamming, throwing, scissor kicks, sweeping from South Shaolin. and various variations of kicks from northern shaolin. If you want to see the original sanda curriculum, look at the military sanda
Doesn’t have ground control tho
Tomei a liberdade de compartilhar! Parabéns 👊🏾🔥
I'd love to learn this one day
Love your contents, bro!
Would be nice if you could add Sanda tutorials for complete beginners.
Thank you!
Thank you. For the tutorial it is a lot of work so it might not be free but I'm thinking about it
@@DavidBertrand Thank you for your response. I wish you the best 🙏
@@FlyingGreenTea Litterly just look up sweeps from catches

Sanda is the mixture of Boxing, Wrestling, Judo, Kickboxing and etc.
Sanda is just a format for Chinese style martial artist to fight and the answer to Chinese Martial Arts' long problem of not being combat effective. I just don't get why people consider Sanda as a "style which is a mixture of this and that".
@@giuseppienad2632 So Sanda is not an art form?
@@hermes2245A lot of people see it and practice as an art form, which I don't blame them since a lot of people see Sanda as "style"....specifically Modern Sanda. What I am saying is that people should not forget the purpose why Sanda was created. It was designed for the Chinese Military in the 1920's and later a combat sport combining the best of kung fu and other styles.
Zhang Hong Jun is an example of a martial artist who combined what he learned from the legendary Zhao Daoxin in the Sanda format and fought. Many Sanda coaches and teachers teach their foundational kung fu style's techniques in a Sanda format
That makes it a Mixed Martial Art...
that flying scissor was beautiful.
THIS IS BEAUTIFUL.
Amazing 👍👍💪💪👊👊🥊🥊🥋🥋
I m gonna try Sanda on Monday..on saturday i m gonna have my pankration s lesson.On thursday i ll try pentatukan,jkd kickboxing...which One u reccomend me most?

Sehr gutes Training
Wow😎😎
Ohh u do muay Thai Train niice😁😎
Is Sanda separate Martial Art or is it another form of Kung Fu?
Sanda/Sanshou: Free Fighting/Free Hand.
I'd imagine this would be great in MMA
It actually would/does. You have some high profile UFC fighters with a sanda background (Zabit i.e). Sanda is a great striking art, it involves kickboxing, judo and wrestling. Pretty good base for MMA!
Cung ale does it and he is a 5th Dan Sash in Wushu
I think sanda honestly is the best base for MMA. Alot of the MMA community say wrestling. But I think sanda is better because you learn how to Box. Kickbox. Wrestle. Throws and Leg sweeps. Wrestlers have to learn how to strike. Sanda practitioners already know how to strike and wrestle. The only thing I would say is the submissions may be their weakness and ground grappling. Please by all means fact check me. This is just from my observation.
Probably because so many other combat sports don't have ground grappling/submissions. If you're coming from a discipline where the ref will always break up clinches you're screwed in MMA no matter how good your stand up game is.
It's as you say though, at the end of the day MMA incorporates all of it. A boxer who wants to keep the fight standing, will have to learn at least basic ground defense. A wrestler who wants to take the fight to the ground, will have to learn at least basic standing defense.
Tips on finding good sanda gyms ?
@@monkmode_11 I'm not sure of any in the USA. But outside the country like China. It is more common. Here we have more Bjj. Boxing. MMA. Muay Thai. Judo. Taekwondo. Karate and wrestling clubs.
not really. sports sanda doesn't have elbows and very rarely do they allow knees. their boxing is kinda weak too.
I am only intersted in the taekedowns everything zi can do
👍👍🇧🇪🇧🇪
Jacob has a brother?
Kung Fu Sanda was UFC Long before UFC was UFC.
So muay thai + judo = Sanda?
No,Bajiquan + North Shaolin +some traditional styles Kung fu with influence from Boxe and Wrestling.
@@LocoBoy00 it's not western wrestling but chinese wrestling which is called Shua Jiao and it's not western boxing but Chinese boxing from changquan
A real fight last 3 seconds kick low to the nuts than strike weak spots
