I can understand your pain as I too have been a victim of an abusive Father. An alcoholic who used to come and beat his wife and lay terror on his kids (me and my younger sister)
It took a great deal of effort at my age of 17 to push my Mom out of this abusive relationship. Which I thankfully succeeded in doing and today we are living a much better life.
That fear which you have, has creeped in me too as I don't wish to get into any toxic relationship, of fear of my kids, me or my spouse being a victim of an abusive relationship 😔.
But that is where life takes a turn and you'll find your mate with past life Karmic debt and I have a feeling, this fear will be eliminated with his presence.
As a student of Vedic Astrology I can vouch either as a Gut Feel or an Intuition that you'll find that person sooner than later... Just make sure you go on regular Short travels from the place of your stay and work. Short travels should be at least 50 kms or more. Try this and you'll activate many dormant planetary positions in your chart.

I too have been a victim of an abusive Father, an alcoholic who used to be physically abusive towards my Mom and two souls (one my small sister and me) who were in constant fear of him. But thankfully because of the courage of my Mother and a bit of encouragement from my side we were able to get out of such a violent environment.
Though now we are in a much much better position but the pain and suffering of this has been engrained in me and that makes it difficult for me to get into any relationship. In the fear of me getting into a toxic relationship.
Thus I can relate with you on your emotions, but trust me on this, it may be a gut feeling or from a student of astrology. I sense that you will find your partner soon with whom you have your past life karmic debt which has to be cleared in this life.
Just ensure that you try to take regular short trips of 50 km or more. In that way you'll activate many of the planetary placements of your chart and will facilitate you to achieve the real goals of this life. 🙏🏻
