      Yeah I'll think about it as I also have the GH5s and the G7. Btw, I have all the same lens you showed in the video. I have a question about this monitor. At the moment I use the Feelworld F6 which is an older generation model. Is your monitor made of aluminum or does it have any metal parts? My F6 is a great little monitor but it feels damn cheap due to all-plastic build. I asked this because an Amazon listing says the monitor you have is aluminum

I was a little surprised at the inclusion of two zooms of approximately the same focal length. What would be your choice above 200mm focal length for the A6500? Full frame isn't any sort of standard in filmmaking.. it has some advantages but it also comes with a lot of inconveniences 😊 The demand is there they just don't wanna cannibalise their full frame line with way more affordable and convenient option. The only upgrade available for Sony Apsc line user is fujifilm xt4 at the moment.

    • @TheHybridShooter
      @TheHybridShooter  Před 3 lety

      Not anymore. Full frame definitely is a standard nowadays. Full frame has surpassed all crop sensor video specs, so crop doesn’t really have any advantages anymore, except the price.

    @paulvanobberghen Před 6 lety

    I'm wondering...Doesn't getting all those fine gears on a compact camera defying the purpose of using a compact camera in the first place? The α7III is bulkier, granted, but not that much, and is more expensive, but not that much (not even twice the α6500), but it has a full frame sensor. You have both and compared them, so you're even better placed to judge, but if I had both, I would use the α6500 "naked" and only when I need to go light, and put all these gears on the α7III (I'm sure you do, with the exception of the base rig that is) when I can accomodate carrying all the bulk. This is nice for someone who only have the α6500/α6300 and can't afford/doesn't want stepping up to the α7III. Yet, so equiped, this compact camera no longer is compact at all. It's about as bulky all in all as the α7III equivalently equiped, and not that cheaper. What do you think?

    • @TheHybridShooter
      @TheHybridShooter  Před 6 lety

      That is generally an advantage of Sony mirroless cameras, you can basically have multiple cameras in one. I use both A7 III and A6500 in different configurations, as compact cameras for street photography or as video rigs like this one depending on what I do. I also like to like to use A6500 with 16-50mm kit lens as point and shoot, which is a great option.

      @@RiseAboveFilmsLLC You can obviously view the image on the external monitor while recording in 4K on a Sony - we use it all the time. The resolution shown on the monitor is however 1080p. What doesn't work is face-tracking autofocus - and that's a real deal breaker.

      I always keep peaking at -12 dB which is recommended for voiceovers by every production. Problem may be on your side.
