3 tbsp butter
1 onion peeled and chopped finely
1/3 cup (40g) plain/all purpose flour
2 1/2 cups (600ml) milk
2 1/2 packed cups (250g) strong cheddar, grated
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
11 oz (320g) canned tuna (albacore tuna if possible) drained and flaked
11 1/2 oz (330g) canned sweetcorn drained

To Serve:
Fresh chopped parsley
Instructions:
1. Heat oven to 180C/350f.
2. Boil a large pan of water, add the pasta and cook for 10 minutes.
3. Whilst the pasta is cooking, melt the butter in a saucepan, add in the onion and cook on low for 6-8 minutes until the onions are very soft.

7. Then stir in ⅔ of the cheese until melted. Season with the salt and pepper.
8. Drain the pasta and pour into a 20x30cm baking dish.
9. Pour over the white sauce, then add the tuna, sweetcorn and petit pois.
10. Mix together, then sprinkle on the remaining cheese.
11. Bake in the oven for 15-20 mins until the cheese is golden brown.
12. Top with fresh parsley before serving.

I LOVE channels that not only add a recipe link, but LIST the recipe as well! Makes it easy to reference while making the recipe ;)
Glad you enjoy it!
Me too. I have been doing a recipe lately, where i had to look around and it was so difficult...i really wanted to give up in the middle of the procedure.
Thanks for saying that, I almost didn't want to write my recipes, but thought no one will watch my videos if i don't, You are 100 % right. I'm glad I do, and I take time to add helpful notes when I can.
Not only does it taste really good but it's super affordable and most of the ingredients you would already have in your cupboard. Love this recipe
Thanks for this. Helped me get back into cooking. Now that I'm married, I need to start making homemade meals
I love your channel. Clear instructions, clear quantities… and delicious. You’re wonderful! Thank you.
just stumbled on your video for this recipe yesterday. You are a breath of fresh air! I usually have to mute it to avoid hearing all the irrelevant stuff but yours was concise, to the point, clear, and easy to follow. So glad I found your channel. Looking forward to making thnis tuna pasta bake.
This has came in really handy ever since cost of living hit. Doesnt require a large amount of ingredients and it has a tonne of flavour. Thanks a lot 👍
Made this for iftar. Delicious!
Same!
I often find when making a cheese sauce for Fish Pie, Pasta Bakes even Lasagna etc that just a teaspoon of mustard added to the sauce really gives a flavourful boost. Of course it’s up to the individual.
Yep I do that too. I also add mushrooms and garlic to the onions. I would lose the corn and peas. Better to have vegetables on the side.
I totally agree!
And nutmeg
I definitely do this if making Macaroni Cheese 👍
This recipe is easy to follow and great to eat but can we just take a moment to appreciate that fantastic oven door!?
Super delicious! my kids and grandson lovess this recipe.
I’ve made this recipe over and over again.
Thanks kitchen sanctuary.
I just made it in a Dutch oven - so only one pot. Love that I can do that. Love how it tastes. Thank you!
First time I ever actually cooked anything and my Missis and kids were super impressed. So happy. Thanks for the help
This recipe is super delicious!!! We love the addition of the peas and the corn! Perfect for a Sunday family lunch :)
I love the name of the channel, Kitchen Sanctuary. So perfect!
I was quickly just looking for a recipe to feed my son tonight and this looks delicious. Can't wait to make it. Great content!
Thank you for making the temperatures and measurements very clear for us! So many "expert chefs" just say add a splash of this a tosh of that and leaves me confused, this is much better
i know Im kinda randomly asking but does anybody know a good place to watch newly released tv shows online?
Could I ask you to make it clear to me; what gram weight is 3tbls of butter? Like the cup measure it could vary. Conversion tables vary. Your're right it's confusing.
@@geminil2415 Measurements aren't critical, a little bit of variation will not harm. Tbls is a table spoon, just experiment.
@@135Ops There are many recipes where small variations won't matter, there are others where they will. To measure butter by the tbls to me is ridiculous, it is a solid matter and should be weighed. The same with cups, is an Aussie cup the same as an American cup? The weight of anything in cups can vary quite a lot. I am just very appreciative of cooks that give the gram measure along with their own. A big thank you to them.
I made this dish and it was absolutely delicious! It was easy and quick to prepare. Thank you so much for sharing this recipe.
I made this tonight and it was a big hit! Thanks for sharing all your amazing recipes! ❤️🇨🇦
Quickly becoming my favourite food channel. Love your clear and simple approach. Thank you 😊
This is the 1st meal I learned to cook in high school cooking class. Its always a winner.
Jeesh didn't mean for that to sound bad 😔. It just brought back memories of my Home Economics. I love this meal, and its definitely a keeper.
This is the easiest, best, most straight forward way of making a tuna bake casserole I have ever seen🌟💗
I was thinking the same thing.
Nice job! I’m American and grew up on a tuna casserole made very similarly- my mom used egg noodles - and had all but forgotten about it until just now! Thanks!
Hope you enjoy
Thanks for the recipe. This is another of your recipes on the menu for tonight’s dinner! Thanks.
Fantastic! Only change I'd make would be to add bread crumbs, panko, or something similar. That's what my mom did when she made this stuff.
I just love all your recipes, I have recreated at least 1 a week! Ill make this tomorrow 😃 thank you
I just made this!!! It's delicious!!! And fun to make! Thank you!!!
This is my go to cooking channel. Brilliant tasty recipes. Thanks Nicky x
My Husband went crazy for this dinner. I made a huge dish full which was probably enough for at least 4 servings. I had a portion and he demolished the rest!. Think it was a success👍 Thank you.
We made this last night, absolutely delicious. I think it will become a firm favourite in our home. Thank you!
The pasta looks delicious but that oven's door will be in my wildest cooking dreams 🤩🤩
Just made this it was delicious! It's a keeper for sure. This is the 2nd meal that I've made the first one that I made was the Tuscan chicken that meal was Amazing! You have become my favorite cooking channel.
I often forget how well tuna and pasta marry together!
Hi Nicky & Chris! Thank you very much for all your great recipes!!! I now have a lot of fun cooking and the family loves it!! :) Greetings, Petra from the Netherlands
HI Petra, thanks so much for watching, so glad you're enjoying them.
I just love your recipes, your approach, and your video quality. Top marks Nicky!
Yum... I am making that for dinner tomorrow night
I'm not really a pasta fan.
I made this recipe and I love ot.

You are so welcome!
I’m a first timer at cooking since being married. Thank you for your channel. X
Just made this and it was amazing to eat! Very delicious! My family loved itttt!!!
Nice one Lady it’s refreshing to have an English bird explaining and showing me how to make what’s looks like somat proper tasty! Well done and Thank you
I made this recipe tonight. It was lovely. I put a little bit of paprika and nutmeg in with some ground black pepper. I didn't use salt as there's enough salt in the cheese.
I like adding a crunchy breadcrumb topping.
I actually have the ingredients in the fridge. Trying it tonight for dinner. Nice 😊
Love this recipe!! Tastes soo yum and easy to make . It’s my go to pasta recipe ..Thank you!!
Thanks for sharing this recipe my family enjoyed it.
Love this recipe. Always comes out really good. Thank you
So good. Simply explained and we'll presented.
This would even be delicious with Alfredo sauce, with a mozzarella, provolone shredded cheese along with the tuna & frozen broccoli florets and sprinkled with shredded Parmesan (with the pasta of your choice)… and baked just the same as the original recipe instructions. 🤔😉👍🏼
This is very similar to how I make my tuna pasta, but I’ve never added corn! Great idea, thank you
Such a perfect recipe. Thanks Nicky!!! 💖
A fave of mine. Have to admit I sometimes crush crisps on top too.
I can see how that'd work. I sometimes do that with my fish pie too 😋
Would be nice with cheesy Doritos crushed.
What flavour crisps?
This is my precious meal for my family
Sadly I could eat about half of this casserole in one sitting. Yum!
I am using cocoa flour, gluten free pasta (as we have issues with flour) and cream for the sauce - same sort of tuna great idea to use the peas and cheese full on nice!
Cheesy, and yummy. Quick & easy.
Absolutely 😋
your explanation is awesome, and ur accent is amazing
It looks delicious must try it, thanks for sharing.
Thank you for not showing all the chopping, slicing and dicing. Short and to the point recipe and looks absolutely delicious. I'll be making this very soon.
Made this and enjoyed it. Thanks so much for posting the video.
I just made this and it’s amazing ❤
I learnt something new: petit pois are peas! I would have sworn they were those delish mouth-sized posh french cakes! I read the recipe first, and 😮 at the thought of cakes n tuna! Lots of peas here in Peru...very few frozen ones...and I've never seen canned petit pois. So I will now use your recipe making the necesary adjustments. 👍
So I made this tonight, and omg… delicious!! And so easy with this recipe. My kids don’t like peas or corn so i swapped them out and used red, yellow and green capsicum diced very small for colour and that bit of veg. Super chuffed. 👌👌
That looks absolutely delicious 😋.
Look really amazing and easy, I will try to make
Hope you enjoy
Loved it ❤, i made it last night and it was so delicious, the whole family enjoyed. Thank you for sharing this ❤

Absolutely amazing 😍 Greetings from Scotland ♥️ Have a wonderful day everyone 🌻
Thank you! You too!
This is way more de-luxe than my Mom's tuna casserole (using cream o mushroom soup)!! Can't wait to give it a try. Thanks, Nikki 😀👍🏻✌🏻☘🍽
Hope you enjoy
Love the recipe but it would be a lot easier to mix everything in the pan then tip it in the baking dish
Yes. That would be easier with less of a risk of making a mess. It’ll incorporate the ingredients more effectively.
Thanks for the tip!
That's how I made it.
K do that then??
Literally following this recipe loosely (half reg shredded cheddar half cream cheese, Idaho potato flakes instead of flour) and just did this!
Made this last night ...switched the sweet corn and peas for parsley and chives ...it was mega
Looks devine & so easy to make 😋😋😋
I Love the resipe
I like your kitchen

Hey now! She's married!
😋
Yet another winner, Nicky. Lots of lovely flavours in there, so can't really be wrong and couldn't blame Chris for devouring it. I'll be keeping an eye open for albacore tuna.
@aircrash tupolov Going there tomorrow, by coincidence. Much obliged, my friend.
Oohh thanks, I'll nip out over the weekend.
@@Kitchensanctuary I hope you have better luck at Aldi than I did, Nicky. Lots of tuna, none of it was albacore. :(
Hi Nikki! I'm a faithful followers of you programs. I love to cook and I love you ways your way of cooking with such an easiness, its amazing Bravo. By the way, I also love your oven its the first ime that I see a oven with retractable door. Could you if possible give the brand and serail model?
Wow, I was eating that as you made it. Looks really delicious.
