I had a laptop when I was in school but I didn't care about typing fast. Man what a fool I was, now that I have a gaming PC I've been practicing ever since and I've improved a lot. I wish did this when I was younger because typing fast is way more satisfying compared to looking at the keyboard trying to find the letters with index fingers.
I often find typing a chore now, but thankful its easier than looking at the keyboard the entire time, like before.
Please focus on accuracy instead of speed when typing. Accuracy is super important, so your typing speed will be much lower if you type below 85% accuracy. I recommend typing at an average of 98%+ accuracy. If you keep typing something wrong and don't correct that, you are just reinforcing your muscle memory to press it wrong in the future, so slow down and do it right.

But due to joints problem, it's too difficult for me to type -20

I need to learn how to type. I can do it fast, but while looking at keys and with only 4 fingers. When I tried without looking and with 8 fingers it was hard.
Practise makes perfect! Breaking bad habits fast will make you develop newer ones even faster.
@@kayarezende Yeah I just learned how to type most of the keys with 8 fingers and without looking at the keyboard. I still do it very slow so I'm gonna practise

Which thumb do you use for the spacebar? I use my left thumb.
It depends sometimes I use most, but when I was typing this out I used my right the most!
Does my typing speed depend on my keyboard? I am using 5$ keyboard and my speed is 70WPM. But when I typed with my friend's 250$ keyboard my speed is 102WPM. explain me a little!

How long did you practice to get 100+ wpm? What is your initial wpm when you started it? Did you do your practice mostly on typing club? I've been practicing for almost 2 months using monkey type and keybr and stuck at 55 wpm.
So initially it was like 5WPM because I had to retrain my whole typing style due to typing wrong my whole life.
It takes time, just practice everyday and focus on accuracy over speed.

I actually did this tyoing club when i was at school and by lvl 100 to 200 i was typing 40-50 wpm from not being able to type at all then i started practicing on monkeytype without doing 200+ im typing at a good 80-100 wpm
Perfect example of taking it slow and easy, and building your muscle memory!

Yes, I never rest my hands on the keyboard, I just keep both my pointer fingers on the "F" and "J" key to know where I am.

@@kayarezende after 6 days i can now type with all 10 fingers at about 40wpm with my fastest being 58 so far, im on a lesson 320 or something around that

@@kayarezende it does, i don't need to guess anymore where the buttins are, i still miss alot of them just my index finger gets of the J key and it's hard to find the way back to it so my whole hand shifts and chaos ensures..
On the left hand the pinky finger is next to caps lock so even if my index finger gets lost i can find the way back by feeling for the caps lock, i can do the same for the ender key on the right hand but it's taking some time getting used go feel for it then shift for one key

yes... slow down.... accuracy is key.... speed comes with ACCURATE MUSCLE MEMORY AND LOTS OF REPETITION.... The more you type 25% error.... the more you reinforce the bad habits and therefore continued errors..... go as slow as you need to stay at 98 pluss percent accuracy.... over time you will improve and speed back up

You really need to slow down your typing speed. 75% accuracy is bad.

How can reduce mistakes
Type slower, and trust the process.
On keyboard 140 wpm phone 170 wpm
I type at about 70 wpm. I used to type at about 15 wpm. I think that 50 wpm or below is slow.
70 is great! And well above average, most people type around 30-40wpm
I can type 400WPM with 1% accuracy
I type at 68 words per minute.

Less than 50 wpm is slow. 50 to 70 is intermediate. Above 70 is professional.
If you get to 80 WPM id say your pretty much set, and will get to 100-120 pretty fast.
