Sorry folks due to CZcams music copyright issues that is why the ceremony was muted. This is a traditional introduction ceremony for the Batoro tribe in Western Uganda in the traditional wear for the women. Men usually wear same type of clothes as you saw in many tribes in Uganda. Yes the bridal party changes clothes several times as you saw. Introduction is held at the home of the brides parents and neighbors, friends, family always expected hence can’t lock people out because they don’t have an invitation card - all gatherings throughout Africa tend to be without invitations including graduations, funerals, etc Gifts are given in addition to the DOWRY. I expected to see a traditional African wedding but what I saw was a luxury rich wedding. I wonder an average African can afford such a lavish party. However the video was nice, I enjoyed it from start to end.

I am seeing this video in Canada. I am of Jamaican heritage. I am wondering what's happening at various points in the wedding. It would be nice to have a little audio included even though we won't understand the language. I hope when you have time you can interpret all that is taking place, for example, the different groups of people dressed in different colour taking pictures and why are they receiving gifts, just everything. I am interested in the various African cultures. Looks very interesting. Good job nevertheless just showing. PS. Glad you watched. This was one of the tribes in Uganda 🇺🇬 in east Africa. It was an introduction ceremony. Reason there was no audio was due to the music (so muted for copyright).

Receiving gifts to bride family is custom more less appreciating of them to allow the groom to marry their daughter must be done in Uganda you can't take your woman without paying unless the father bride say just bring what you can and some parts you have to bring 4/6 cows you don't go free.. that it what it means pay before you take.

They are led by the gentleman because…. The little girls are there to represent…. Awww I think this was a big missed opportunity to explain what was happening in the video to us since we couldn’t listen to the original sounds anyway. You could have done a voice over at various points to help us understand. I just kept skipping and skipping in hopes that you would be explaining in the next minute till I found I was at the end of the video. It was a very beautiful ceremony ❤. Being African, the only part I think I understood was the gifts, which I think is part of the dowry? I might be wrong since I’m only making an assumption. Your culture is so beautiful.
