Suit up for classic comedy! Peter Venkman (Bill Murray), Ray Stantz (Dan Aykroyd), Egon Spengler (Harold Ramis) and Winston Zeddemore (Ernie Hudson) take a chance on going freelance, de-haunting houses in a new ghost removal service. As soon as they open their doors, their first order of business becomes saving beautiful cellist Dana Barrett (Sigourney Weaver) and nerdy Louis Tully (Rick Moranis), who’ve inadvertently opened the gates of hell… right in their own apartment building!
Peter Venkman (Bill Murray), Ray Stantz (Dan Aykroyd), (Egon Spengler) Harold Ramis, and Winston Zeddemore (Ernie Hudson) take up their proton packs once more to battle the forces of evil in Manhattan! After waging a war on slime that cost New York City millions, the Ghostbusters find themselves out of business until an ancient tyrant, preparing a return to the Earthly domain through his portrait at the Manhattan Museum of Modern Art, sets his sights on Dana Barrett's baby as the new home for his wicked soul! With the help of the Museum's possessed curator, he plans to turn New York into a really scary place to live! Now only the Ghostbusters can save New York City, by turning paranormal pest control into an art form!

Oh man the scene where Ray and Egon are inspecting the photos of Vigo and the room catches fire still gives me chills!
Yea dude I know!!!
Especially that one pic of Vigo hanging up in that scene where you can see half his face is demonic right before the fire. That face freaked me out
That scene right there remind me of that scene from The Omen 😈
The subway tunnel scene in Ghostbusters II with that scary voice calling Winston's name & the dead heads on spikes scared the snot out of me back when I was a kid.
You forgot to add the bathtub sequence from part 2; now THAT scared me when I was young. Couldn't even use my own tub for a few days!😂
LOL
Only thing that freaked me out about Ghostbusters was when that ghost lady gave Ray an enjoyable dream
Same, was always such a strange concept to be until you realize it's a personification of how obsessed Raymond is with the paranormal
@@Fourexponent
Dang, so it wasn’t real? 🤣 that was one of my favorite parts.
I just liked jamming out to the beat during that part.
I was surprised when I saw this thread say it wasn't real and that it was just a dream Ray was having due to his obsession with the paranormal.
@@piperjojostott7790 something similar happened in the comics, but it was real
@@alchemist824 I've been hearing multiple people mention Ghostbusters comics. I was amazed when I first heard about them. I bet they must be rare these days.
Man, Ghostbusters really had it all back in the day, didn't they?
The makeup work on the final form of Vigo is timeless. 10/10
Also Ray's mesmerized face.
According to my dad, the ghost librarian scared me so much I ran out the room screaming.
Just like the Ghostbusters in that scene LMAO
Vigo you sir still freak me out and I’m 40 🤦♂️😆
I actually used to be scared by the ghost librarian scene the first time I saw "Ghostbusters" as a kid, but I eventually found myself laughing at it the more I watched the movie, especially after realizing that the scene was meant to be funny due to the guys running off screaming while an instrumental version of "Cleanin' Up The Town" plays in the background, which does add to the humor of the sequence. XD
Man that library scene is amazing. Love the music on the run out..
@@TurkeyDart It's actually the same song played on the scene where the Ghostbusters get themselves ready to head out to the Sedgewick Hotel to capture their first ghost (Slimer), albeit without the lyrics.
@@sonicmario64 yep. Such a great movie
I never had nightmares after watching Ghostbusters, even as a kid, although the heads in the second movie definitely startled me a little the first time I saw them. Also, how could anyone be haunted by Slimer? I'd keep him as a companion, honestly. 😄🚫👻
yeah more so in the animated series
The ghostbusters handles business. As a child we tend to feel powerless, and the ghostbusters as a matter of course handled our worst fears out of a sense of duty, I guess in a way it gave us hope.
I know what you mean about the severed heads on spikes. They looked like they came straight out of a horror movie.
Yeah I’ve been haunted by slimer and maybe the librarian in my dreams and I’ve had the song stuck in my head for a long time
To whom shall I speak, and give warning, that they may hear? He that has ears to hear, let him hear.
Are you saved? Where will you go when you die? Heaven or hell?
The Gospel, which means the Good News is the news that God Almighty, the Creator came in the flesh as Jesus Christ to take away the sin of the world. The one God is a trinity of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. The Son came and laid down his own life to save ours. His sacrifice on the cross paid the price for our redemption with his own blood. On the third day he rose from dead and offers the gift of salvation and forgiveness to those that repent and trust in him. Although God's creation was created perfect, having no death, sickness and disease, the creation became corrupted through Adam and Eve in them disobeying God. In this rebellion the creation became fallen through the curse of sin and mankind became separated from God. This world is fallen, but God offers reconciliation to him through his provision at the cross. Ultimately God will restore his creation to perfection when he returns but those that who reject his offer of redemption will remain condemned by their sins and go to hell.
John 1:1,14 KJV
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and THE WORD WAS GOD. [14] And THE WORD WAS MADE FLESH, and dwelt among us,
1 John 3:8 KJV
He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
Isaiah 9:6 KJV
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty GOD, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
John 1:10
He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and THE WORLD KNEW HIM NOT.
God. Vigo’s face contorting will never not scare me.
"And you don't want us exposing ourselves!"
Possessed!Ray, there was supposed to be a scene where Ray drives the Ecto-1 while being possessed.
It was in the novelization.
I guess there was no time to film it.
But on paper, it sounded like a crazy scene.
1:31 the way slimer arms flip down 😂
Darn you Bill Murray for not doing a third movie when Harold Ramis was still alive.
When I was really young, slimer scared me, but only in that scene. I remember laughing when he popped back up later with the hot dogs.
As a kid, I was terrified by the dogs, the creepy nanny, the bathtub full of that goop and the painting of Vigo.
Ghostbusters 2 is still extremely frightening! The scariest of the films and cartoons
Damn good sequel too!
Vigo terrified me as a kid. My dad had to keep me from running out of the theater when Vigo merged with Ray.
I don't know why but the shot of the abandoned subway tunnel after Winston says hello was always creepy to me with how you hear nothing. The slight movement of the camera in that shot makes it even more creepier.
There's definitely a couple of freaky moments in the video game
Shandor's one of them?
The vigo one scared me once and I was like Jesus
Growing up these scenes really did scare the hell out of me! Except the Slimer scene, I never recalled being scared of the ugly little spud.
Yeah, Slimer is practically harmless for a ghost, since he doesn't even hurt Peter at all, though he does leave him feeling humiliated as a result of his encounter. ;D
@@sonicmario64 Slimer is just hungry. And smelly. And slimy. But otherwise harmless.
He was really cute in the animated series, I always thought about that so he was less scary
0:48 That rail scene is my favorite of the series. I know a guy last named Winston that I always say that too.
The hands in the seat was creepy, from what I have heard, the actors in the seat were very apologetic about where they touched Sigourney Weaver.
Great spooks, all together.
Take care, and all the best.
Too apologetic. She got annoyed with them, as it was taking forever to shoot the scene, so she told them to stop holding back and just grope her.
Surprisingly, I wasn't actually too scared by that sequence the first time I saw the movie as a kid, probably because I was somehow able to see it coming, especially when we're able to see the Terror Dogs come alive prior to the sequence, though I'll admit I was a little scared by the kitchen scene when Dana opens the refridgerator door (until I watched the movie a second time, that is). XD
@@Rocket1377 Sigourney's a tough gal. Not overly sensitive about things.
@@Rocket1377 Wasn't there a wardrobe malfunction I thought I seen a boob pop out.
ummmmm, where is the scene in Ghostbusters 1 where peter tells a possessed Dana to come down, and she ended up snarling at him. that was a pretty good jump scare.
How about the scene where Egon and Ray were developing Vigos pictures, and the door locks and ever pic catches fire ?
Or the scene when Dana art director was walking down the halls, then magics has lights coming from his eyes
Yup, these films had quite a bit of nightmare fuel
I have seen these movies 21 times and they don't haunt me.
I was really afraid of the corpse taxi driver as a kid, I always put a blanket over my head when he turned up 😅
3:14 Jacked me up as a kid....but still couldn't stop watching. haha
Good times
Oscar on the ledge hits different after you become a parent. That scene scared me more than all the others and Ghostbusters 2 has its moments.
Ive seen the 2 film on dvd and i gotta say, 1:02yup that voice and them heads did it. I got chills on my spine
I wish part 2 had used Elmer Bernstein's eerie score. Not necessarily the same score but something in that vein.
Strange I never got scared as a kid from this movie! It was a fun movie! 👻
Poor Venkman, he got slimed. He's my favorite Ghostbuster ❤️🙏👻
The developing photos of the painting is creepy AF
I got scared in the first movie, at the beginning when they are at the library, with the book cases, otherwise I never got scared in the movie, both are really amazing, you guys did a good job making the movies😊.
I hated the heads on spikes in the subway scene in GBII.
Did I say "hated"? Sorry I hate.
Edit: I also wasn't a fan of that ghost nanny but then I realized it was Janoz. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
You ain't the only one with the ghost nanny that freaked me out as a kid
Rip Max Von Sydow 😢 😢 😢 😢
my favvs: first catching slimer in the hotel and second the scoleri brothers !!
the subway and when the animals came alive on her coat used to freak me out, and the titanic scene..
I’ve never sat on a sofa again after that scene 🛋
I LOVE GHOSTBUSTERS!!!!!!
I don't know what was scary of the 2nd film. But for it was always the Demon Dogs in the the 1st film.
The librarian made me have nightmares for days after I first saw it
The animated Ghost Busters especially Egon come off more capable than the live action versions. I guess that’s another reason they’re called the Real Ghostbusters
It was called "The Real Ghostbusters" because there was a cartoon named Ghostbusters already. It had a gorilla riding a very old car.
[ In scary voice ] WINSTON
Those were the days, ghost horror like GB and Poltergeist
The ZUUL scene still gives me nightmares
nice!
Omg this is so scary for me when I was young it still scares me a bit still and the scoleri brothers have scared me definitely!!!
Honestly for me the scariest part was the lovecraftian like God coming into our world to destroy it.
3:34 scared the crap out of me as a kid. I hope Afterlife has some unexpected moments like that
The ghost train in the second one freaked me out. Still kinda does. Any time there's a ghost locomotive.. ugh.
I seem to remember there was an episode of Amazing Stories about a ghost train. When an old man was spray-painting a path onto the family house, for the ghost train to come and take him. Then at the end the train comes at night and plows into the living room.
Think I may just be scared of trains. 😬
Does that include the Ghost Train in Final Fantasy 6?
The thing that scared me was the terror dogs
When I was At least 4 years old, i was terrified from the Very Beginning of the First ghostbusters Movie Where they Encounter the Ghost in the Library
when I was a kid, the scene where the Ghostbusters find the library ghost scared me so much from the face she made to scare the Ghostbusters out of the library. If I were them, I would have left right when I saw her
Nothing, I mean nothing, will haunt me as much as judge doom
3:35
The bathtub scene
GB2 1000 times better than most movie snobs give it credit for.
The disembodied heads must have been the people who died on that ghost train.
0:10 that hellhounds hand is doing what??
0:00 Top 10 S#!t your pants moments in movies
I wish they would bust some actual scary ghosts, like the ghosts from the Ring, Grudge, the conjuring, or even Hereditary. But noooooo… we gotta make all like Jim Carrey movie 🙃
You’re right. 😱😨
Ghostbusters Afterlife scared me , ah the horror !
Cooll
The slimer scene was more of a funny scene than a scary scene for me lol
Seems rather telling nothing could be harvested from the other 2 films.🧐
Also, what about the taxi ghost or the mink coat?!
Oh god
NO! I, RAY, AM VIGO!
WIIIIIIINNNNNSTOOOOOOOON
Omg
Ghostbusters may not be exactly scary. But it didn't forget it was still a horror-comedy. Like a PG evil dead.
Are you going to update this with the ghostbusters afterlife and what people say in the comments
I have a question: I know the scene doesn’t feature in this video, but it’s something I have been curious about for awhile.
In the scene in GB2 when the Titanic is docked, how come the damage to the ship is wrong. The wreck was only found 3 or 4 years previous to the films release. Is it lack of knowledge, or just film embellishment?
Yes.
La primera escena parece del exorcista.
Hello?
Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinstooooooooooooooon
Proceeds to shit pants oO
I one point when I saw this as a kid, I thought that it was a horror film but it was just n action & comedy film cause nobody was killed by all the ghosts on here & was Surprise that no one was stomped by mr stay puff, they got away clean
Will The Ghostbusters Reply For Halloween? 👻🚫
No
@@AkaMorty Yeah you're probably right lol
Uh one question….
Why didn’t anyone and I mean ANYONE look up and just like yelled or something?
The woke version gave me nightmares
There was a sleeping version?
@@GabePuratekuta yea
I dont wanna watch this movie anymore
Dana doesn't say shit before she's been taken away into the closet....
Wait i found the twin towers in this vid
Time?

When Was It In The Video You Saw It?

Oh Yeah So It Is! Didn't Notice That The First Time I Watched Ghostbusters II
plz come down
RRRRRRRRRRRRRRR !!!!!!
Proof the world has gone soft, is when you realise todays kids could not handle these great movies lol😅
No "bathtub" sequence!??
That sh1t turned me white!
Fun Fact: The child actor who played Oscar the baby committed suicide by hanging himself. :)
