Phil is dope but i think Shigekix took the win here.
First round seemed a lot closer than the score indicated. I think Phil had it on creativity, but Shigekix had better form and execution.
It’s so awesome to see shigekix incorporating more attitude and flavor into his style. Losing to flea in bc one I think made him round out his game and he was already a monster
damn yo is it me or does shigekix have more flavor when he breaks now.
Yeah, it was always the one thing he lacked. You can tell that after his losses to Flea Rock and Phil he really worked on more original flows
I think he knew the judges weren't high on just power and freezes so he added a lot more footwork.

@@endlesssnothing A LOT of people have to dance in these competitions, I guess they decided it was better this way instead of how they did it in Paris last year (seriously, they had to make the robin round among the crowd)
It's why i dont think breaking should have ever been in the olympics. It's just waaaaay too subjective. There isnt a set numerical scoring. Its not how many moves are done or the variety, but solely up to the judge's perspective, mood, and opinion on that day.
i’m a big fan of Phil Wizard, but I think Shigekix took this one. Yea, he crashed, and I’m not particularly fond his style, but he had much more impressive form, control, and vocabulary.

Phil is one of my fav' bboy, but still Shigekix got robbed.. Never on earth, did he lose the 1st round. You can even tell that from the faces of both dancers 😤

이미 싹수가 보인다. 아시아 비보이를 대표할 두 천재의 쇼다운. 킥스는 예전엔 홍텐 따라지처럼 보였지만 이제는 이쎄이랑 홍텐이랑 정말 잘 섞어놓은거 같고, 필위자드는 스타일도 그렇고 너무 유니크하고 프레쉬한 무브들이 돋보임. 앞으로가 너무 기대되네요
필 위자드는 한국인 백그라운드를 가졌지만, 캐나다인 아닌가요?

nice battle, first two rounds were quite competitive but shigekix kind of flubbed it in the last round.

Out of many times Shigekix used to perform the last headspin on stage he fell once. And that only mistake should cost him the last round? Everyone voted against him . And the first round, I don't get how he lost it. Not to blame Phil, he's amazing too but it's clear he's inferior here in dynamics and move difficulty. Both got flava, obviously with different character. Btw half of these same judges didn't allow Shigekix to move to finals in Birmingham not so long ago. (But there it's understandable cause he showed much less material, i.e. was more repetitive, and had lower energy imo). Nevertheless the semifinal round in Birmingham was something like 5:4 or 4:3 to Victor's favor, i.e. almost even. So how do we judge? Peace
Move difficulty mean nothing if is out of beat no style and just sloppy if u like the real difficulty go watch parkour and trick battle

Phil wizard is original. Shigekix is very good at stringing "already invented" moves together impressively but phil wizard innovates. He constantly creates new original moves and is evolving the scene.
Yeah it’s corrupt. How could even one judge vote his second round in? Yet he got a couple votes for that round. 🤷🏼♂️ also unanimous for the first round? No one disagreed? Seems very biased. That doesn’t surprise me at all though. It’s like half or more than half rigged.

Shigekix is such a dope bboy. But him like many others need to learn how to top rock and really dance/flow to music. You can have all the moves in the basket but it will not get you far.
He already have top and also showed that he can be an excellent floor rocker. He just do not top a lot before spinning and rolling on the floor.

@@awakenedsoul2638 your right. I think if he added more dance/flow into his set before jumping in he would be almost unstoppable. Right now it’s like he rushes through just to get straight to the moves. He definitely hears the music though and has great moments. But just slight improvement on the dancing would go a far way

Problem with shigekix is man has no sauce, he’s an incredible athlete and can recognize beats but he doesn’t groove, he doesn’t dance, it’s the one thing holding him back, kudos to both

it's cause this is for Olympics. there are still plenty of smaller events as well as large ones that are more normal hip hop events. there is a place for both
Why acting like this is the only jam in the world. Breakers are not forced to compete for the olympics, there are more local real jams than olympic jams. If you dont want to go the olympics then dont go to the olympics
