- The time has come for me to sell my 1988 Catalina 30
I bought Venture, registered name “Reflections”, in 2016. She only had two previous owners who took meticulous care of her and logged all major jobs done.
Venture and I have had 5 wonderful summers together exploring Howe Sound, the sunshine coast, up to Desolation Sound, and the Gulf Islands! She’s trained over a hundred new sailors, and has never let us down. I've fully prepared her for longer coastal cruising with a 175watt solar panel, new house batteries, and plenty of upgrades and spares. She comes with a seasonal spot in Horseshoe Bay at Sewells Marina with a parking spot right next to the marina. You would be able to take over the spot but the boat can only be in the water from April 1st to October 31st, I've hauled it out over the winter at Lions Gate or Shelter Island, storage on the hard is approx. $300 a month and makes it easy to winterize the boat and do your spring cleaning and bottom paint. Moorage is paid for till October 31st 2021. This is prime location for cruising in Howe Sound. 2 miles from Bowen Island (20mins), 5 miles (less than an hour) from Halkett Bay Marine Park on Gambier Island, and a great starting out point for cruising in the Gulf Islands or up to Desolation Sound.
I've spent over $20,000 on parts alone in the past 5 years. I used this vessel to teach sailing so I kept her in tip top shape and made some big upgrades. List of upgrades and major work completed since I bought the boat:

You are the kind of person I would love to buy a boat from. This boat has been well loved. Thank you for the best tour I’ve seen on CZcams.
I know this vid has been up a long time before I found it, but this was the most complete and honest boat review/tour I've seen. I learned a lot. Thanks.
This is probably the cleanest C30 I’ve seen, way cleaner than mine. Very nice!
I'm looking for a C30, but, the ones I'm looking at aren't in this level of being maintained. Damn, it's amazing just how much a good sized financial investment is neglected. I only wish that when I'm ready for mine, I find one in this kind of shape. Kudos for one of the best kept/maintained boat I've seen in a long time.
What a beautiful boat she is! I haven't seen too many even close to yours, looks so clean and with all the work you had done as well. Thanks for sharing!
Great job on this video, thanks for posting!
Love your videos, please do more on your next boat! You are easy to watch and very knowledgeable. Well done.
Fair winds. ⛵️🌊
Thank you, big things coming soon!
Amazing job. Very inspiring.
Nice job showing your boat.
You’ve done a great job with this video and your boat!! Well done!!
I remember seeing this boat for sale… good find , great video love it
I'm not surprised it sold quickly. That is one of the...if not the...nicest Cat30's I've ever seen. Just wow!
WOW!... Congrat's on the best tour I've ever experienced.
Great video. Great Catalina 30.
Nicely done explanatory tour.. I like the 30!!!
We owned a similar 27 new in 80! I can't believe how New this boat looks💯amazing job with upkeep. All clean everywhere , like polished clean😁
What a great boat. You've done an amazing job improving and maintaining her. Excellent video as well. 👏👏
Thanks Ross :)
Really nice boat. Well done!
Just subscribed I love how organized this boat is!
That boat is stunning.
Beauty! I'd like a Catalina 30 one day. Amazing.
This is the most adorable boat showing I've ever seen😊
I'm looking into buying a cat 30 and this inspires me.
I hope you're well and have a great 2024 😊
Very nice video I have a Catalina 30 1990 here in Miami it's a great boat
Best loved boat ever. I wish I saw this before I purchased my Catalina (2 months ago)
Your 88 Cat 30 is the inspiration for how I want mine to be! Wish you still had it.-)
Beautiful boat.
Your C30 looks really nice, mine is on the hard here in Anacortes WA getting a new strut and prop shaft, hope to be back in the water soon. I will have about 20K in mine by the time I am done, it adds up fast but other that the strut (which didn't fit with out mod from Catalina Direct) it would probably be a 50K boat if I didn't do all the work myself. Will have to check out some of your videos northern neighbor.
One of the best C30 I've seen! You can tell it's been loved
Thanks Greg! I take great pride in her, only wish she could grow a couple feet… or 10 so I could keep her forever!
@@LandandSeawithKee I know what you mean. I have a 1977 C30 as well. Day sailing, its easy to handle but staying aboard for some time, storage is not easy
How much would this sell for? Or your 77
@@Mkjhghh As a whole, maybe 8000.00. Worth more for parts
Very nice one, wow
Nice boat I'm green with envy
I love this boat so much. The only thing stopping me from buying it is the Pacific Ocean
This is like a new Catalina 30.
Can you give me an idea of what to Budget for a similar Sailboat purchase? Thank you. Nice video
i wish it was mine!
Looked like an aft bunk, would have been nice to see it.
🤘🤓👍love it
Nice work, nice boat Kee. What's your next boat?
Great video and you are so friggin cute....I want to sail with you!
Nice boat but I’m thinking I’m More interested in this human! Super energy! Super attractive!
Nice and clean. What did you get for her? I do not remember hearing anything about keel, tall rig... sail stuff? Too late now suppose but have you blown out the refridge with compressed air? Where the fan is blowing? You, they need to do that at least once a season. If it is running all the time the motor will die. If oven is too hot, get a good thermometer. Get it up to 350, then loosen screw that holds the temp control knob on. Rotate the knob to 350, set screw.
Are you getting another boat? Capt. Jaun
Hi! I have a 1989 Catalina 30, based in San Francisco. Your (or previously your) boat is in great condition. Would you happen to know the brand/model of the galley faucet? And also the make of the cutting board?! Thank you
Awesome. I have been looking for a good Catalina 30-36. Gorgeous boat.
I have been looking around that area, Port Angeles, Seattle, Bellingham, Tacoma.
Beautiful Catalina
My buddy got exactly someone, I spent great time on her, I’m the power boat guy but thinking about buying something like this
How much did you sell her for?
How much did you sell it for? I bought a very well maintained Hunter 30 for $4500! Brand new motor and great sails, etc. i know I got s steal but was curious how much a similar condition C30 goes for.
1st off she is an absolutely beautiful boat. I have a 1988 myself, Hull number 5220. I am wondering about the compartment under the stove.... is that for access to something or do you have it for storage?
Thank you! The compartment under the stove is just access to heater duct and wiring not much space there
Thank you for your quick response. I had a feeling that it was only an access panel.. not much room at the hull of the boat and loner.
Thanks again
What price did you sell it..? ,$ ?
They are $70000 in Australia.
How much?
I want to be the next owner of this sailboat. How much are you asking for it?
She has been sold! Thank you
Is the boat still available?
No sorry
Wow Sailor is the boat still available,
No its sold sorry
Just a guess but I'm thinking she sold for 33,000...Am I close ?
A bit more
Beautiful boat . . .is it still available?
Yes, www.boatdealers.ca/boats-for-sale/483129/catalina-catalina-30-mk11-west-vancouver-british-columbia
why did you sell it? getting another boat?
Eventually! For now I co own another boat in the Caribbean so one is enough!
@@keannarink9412 Amazing job, on the tour and taking your boat to better than new condition. My jaw dropped watching. Just beautiful
Whaatt Knot...
Please don't sell this boat. Let's get married and live together on this boat for a lifetime.

She’s been sold!
