@@ximnotnormalx9024 yes I know but like the original comment says the missile naturally floats above the vehicle even when you aim directly at it so since he has his reticle above the vehicle it’s detonating much higher above the tank than it should normally

Jup it seemed kinda obvious to me that you should aim for the center of tanks since the missile lofts on it's own. Haven't seen many youtubers use it right yet :')

@@ColorblindBullpup He is using it as a top down indeed. But he is aiming above the tank hes trying to hit. When your supposed to aim for the center of the tank and the AGM will fly above it by itself. By aiming above the tank theres a bigger distance between the explosion and the top of the tank, thus making the AGM less efficient and deal less damage. Theres a reason why some tanks use spaced armour with just empty space inbetween, basically the same principle.

gotta love how the loader in the bradley magically teleports 2 atgms into the launcher in a couple seconds but it takes the bmp-3 more than 20 to load an atgm inside the tank
According to Gajin, they base most of their ingame stats on performence tests. In such case, the US usually does better than the Soviet because of training.
In order to field such massive amount of armor units, the Soviet couldn't afford to give every group the best training. Therefore, you have elite groups high performence greatly lower when average with the mostly haste train groups.
You see the same thing when it comes to air war of Germany/Japanese vs the US/British. The Axis kept their aces on the frontline and often group them into elite units. Meanwhile, the Allies chose to sent their aces back to train new pilots. As such, you see more high scoring Axis aces than the Allies, but the Allies perform better overall because you have a mostly train force fighting against a mostly poorly train force.
There's a hatch on the back of the Bradley that pops open and a loader can load the tubes, it takes me personally around 7 seconds per missle if I'm feeling high speed that day
@@Normacly The BMP-3 model which is in the game has a ATGM autoloader that takes 7 seconds at most for a single ATGM.

The clip showing the top attack missiles was a demo by the missile manufacturer. They purposely filled the target tank with explosives for extra effect (and perhaps as a marketing gimmick)

Despite the weapon systems hype, the Bradley and the TOW2 definitely walk the talk. Was 11M20 and had a second MOS as a TOW Gunner. Love watching Syrian Tank Splack Vids. *in Borat voice* verry nice.

I heard they didn't have air conditioning? Although idk about newer models but from Iraq war veterans, they said there was no A/C or I might be misremembering.
@@neurofiedyamato8763 they have heat which is pretty nice when it’s working. My unit ran the A2 model and all we really had were these fans that just circulated air. Wasn’t much but it was a lot better than nothing, especially when I’m actually cooking my MRE’s against the wall that separates myself from the engine because it’s so hot.

When I was a Dismount, Bradley’s sucked.
After being made our Battalion’s Master Gunner’s driver, I grew to understand and the love the Bradley as a fighting system.
Was mentored to drive it like I stole it and to test my limits as well as my track. Could spend much time regaling all the cool things we did as a crew but will just say I was thankful for the experience. Was hard work but good times. Another thing of note, my BC let me drive and he worked the turret. Was never micromanaged. Not like most drivers.

14:38 that is just disgusting. This is partially why I stick to lower tears because it baffles my brain that an American Bradley is fighting a jgpanther and a centurion, let alone IS3S and others. You see similar happenstance in aviation helicopters and ships. My humble opinion they need to get their s*** straight and find a better way to do their matchmaking modern day vehicles do not belong with world war II and post world war II vehicles.
i get what you're saying their matchmaking is trash indeed but it's that players own fault for bringing a 6.3 jagdpanther to a 8.7 br game though. I see it so often that someone buys a toptier premium and use a lowtier lineup with it or people make failplatoons and then cry that they are at a disadvantage.

Phly, when you shoot your missile, it already goes above your sights. when you aim higher in the sights, your actually throwing the missiles even higher on the tank, since the missile is already fired at a higher angle.

I have mastered the art of the m3a3. So glad to see this. Also to one shot with the top attack TOWs you must make it explode not more than a foot above the tank so try to literally hit their roofs with it

From my experience with the tow-2B in game you have to aim your reticle lower as the missile travels above the center of your crosshair, and the closer to the tank the missile detonates the more likely you are to get an instant kill.

Yo phly just a little tip, if you want to mark something on the map you can press alt and put your cursor over the minimap and press on it, it will mark just the same but possibly quicker.

Its a fun missile. It can be hit or miss sometimes but when its working as intended it can make some great kills. Sometimes i wish i had a normal missile on hand for certain situations but this is a great alternative.
I don't know if you'll see this but I'm a driver for the Bradley and the thing really can maneuver like that. I've watched you all through highschool and love what you do keep up the good work!!
What makes the M3 (the "scout" version of the M2) so deadly IRL is how superior its optics and firepower are for such a relatively inexpensive and easy to use platform. In game, the optics aren't really that different between vehicles, but it still has that effective cannon and *very* effective TOW launcher.
Not bad for an unholy amalgamation of five or so designs being smashed together into one package.
What I learned with the M3A3 is that you aim at center mass instead of adjusting above for the TOW-2B. The missile will detonate at the appropriate height by itself. If done this way it will not miss.
Phly the TOW-2Bs are an extremely effective weapon, you are just shooting them too high of the enemy´s roof (thus losing penetration power)
If they modeled the TOW2B accurately, you just aim center mass and the missile accounts for the top-down charge. You're probably not getting the desired effect because the missile is now detonating that much higher when you aim above the tanks.

I was the driver and now the gunner of one of these things honestly its a massive pile of scrap. But when I pull the trigger awwweee yeah, love it. maintenance is depressing.

Phly you're aiming your crosshair above the tank. The missile already compensates, so you need to aim right at the tank for the missile to be most effective. As it is, it's exploding farther away than it otherwise would.

IR dazzlers wouldn't work on the TOW 2B. It has an encoded IR signal plus a xenon beacon to prevent IR jamming.
