Now that I have been teaching for like 13 years, i think lesson planning is so important in that it helps a lot to satisfy the students' needs and teach them effectively without havung to feel like the lesson was a complete failure. Lesson planning is a lot of thought that has got to be done before the lesson and the scenario is just imagined while waiting on implementing it successfully in the classroom.

An academic finally validated my casual, off the -top approach. These EdTPA lesson plans feel so contrived and unrealistic. I get lost in thought guessing how many citations, strategies, and descriptions of student or teacher actions I need to list to get a decent grade. Feels like the teacher always moves the goal post and consistently offers no sample of her own expectations for a finished product. As a result, I’m just endlessly adding details and expanding the rationale for every bullet point. Gughhh
