I FINNALY Found Them!! JIGGING?

What started as a relatively slow morning kayak fishing in Doubtless Bay turned into quick the hot snapper bite with the jigs!

Clear water had pushed the fish out of the shallows, a bit of searching and I found the fish sitting in 25-30m underneath the large summer schools of anchovies.
A few lure changes and I was on! 100g and 60g jigs with a long slender profile was about all they wanted.
mid way through the morning the live bait rod screamed off and things got absolutely MENTAL!
