thanks for the break away anchor trick
I've got to get myself a
Garmin chartplotter /Sonar Combo for my kayak, help get in the zone.
Awesome eye pleasure, mate .
It's a very enjoyable video. I'm glad you shared your catch with others
Thanks so much, appreciate it. Good choice with the Garmin! I've heard of nothing but issues with other brands on the kayak. Tight lines!
damn that swell session didn't look so fun especially anchoring. i found that tip about the anchor but i use 6kg line instead of a cable tie. really handy tip especially if anchor gets caught in the wrong place. i really gotta anchor fishing on the kayak soon. good fish u landed on the dirty bait
Yea that swell wasn't the best. Dirty old bait got it done... I went to the dark side
@@NomadicKayakFishing looked sketchy as hell that swell especially wen u were pulling anchor especially wen it was turning sideways
Looks like a good day of fishing, Im always stolked with at least a feed. What do you think causes the sounder to give false feedback? I want to purchase a similar garmin radar. I was out on my yak in doubtless bay this weekend andI tried a 100g verticle jig for the first time for fun in 12m of water and got a nice Kahawai on the first jigging! Chur for the upload bro.
Thanks bro. I don't think that the sounder is actually sending false feedback, more so that the fish are to weary to swim beneath the boat. And when they come in on the lure u can typically see them on the screen before hooking them. Nice one with the jigs. Tight lines!
legit this exact thing happened today same swells i had to get off the yak
That sucks man, gotta watch the weather on the kayak or ot will quickly humble us😅. Stay safe and tight lines!
Drifting with a ledger rig and also lures is my favourite, go to when things get quiet, call it “ prospecting “
Nice one. Prospecting new ground often proves very productive. Especially when the fish aren't where u expected them to be. Next week's episode is a perfect example of that
