This is really insightful. Adesanya landed almost all of the significant strikes. Most of them were leg kicks which helped slow down costa and keep distance. Then at the end, adesanya finishes with the punches. That’s a game plan.

Leg kicks are finally getting the respect they deserve. Many UFC fans don't seem to realize just how destructive they are. Sure its not like a single punch knock out but its more like you have to work them.
Adesanya is one of the only reasons I like watching the UFC, probably one of the only few "world class" strikers in the UFC. Issy is a world class kick boxer with a strong muaythai background. Costa striking wouldn't compare to half the thai-kickboxing pro fighters. Watch some Liam Harrison for the OG of low leg kicks.
@RoMeDS44 That’s the same reason Izzy didn’t approach Yoel. Cause he did get caught. He was comfortable doing that with Costa cause he’s not a refined striker at all, just a pressure brawler.
