- I will share with you my life in a coastal city Da Nang and visit a Vietnamese village near Hoi An. Recently many people asked me whether I feel safe traveling in Asia solo as a girl, and I will share my thoughts about that too.

The thing I understood from this video and from what I could see, that we Westerners have a wrong conception of these places which we consider them economically poor, but it is only a point of view compared to us. The reality is that it is their culture and their tradition that leads them to live in this way and I believe they should be respected and this is demonstrated by the lady who collected the rice who seemed to me to be happy with her work and her life; your American friend proves it who said he had a good travel experience in Vietnam and it is also demonstrated by the fact that you too had a lot of fun and found yourself well in that corner of natural paradise.
In the end, I believe that true wealth is not measured in how much money you have or if you live in a concrete megalopolis, but it is placed in the traditions that a people maintain and practice with passion every day of their life with a smile.

G'day Eli, we have dozens of bakeries and cafes around Canberra, but the ones run by Vietnamese are usually the best. Australia had thousands of Vietnamese refugees after the fall of Saigon. Some of them were bakers by trade, who were taught by the French. They've since taught their children their trade, and the result is Asian food with a hint of French methods, and very delicious.
We have lots in Sydney too, they are the ones who won the lottery mate, the rest were exiled to Canberra. LOL
Nothing to stop them moving to SYD if they want.

I love Vietnam too, been there many times - Ho Chi Minh, Hanoi, Phu Quoc island.....but never Da Nang. Now made me want visit Da Nang and will do it.
I'm always amazed at how quickly you make friends with people wherever you go. It's so enjoyable watching you visit new places. Something I have learned from your videos, Eli, is that there is beauty, adventure, and good people all over the world.

I love Vietnamese food so much! From Pho, to Spring Rolls, Summer Rolls, and Vietnamese Sandwich on French bread, everything is delicious and healthy. You've not touched on all the great foods...gotta try com tam, bun thit nuong, bun cha, bun bo Hue, bun rieu, banh cuon, banh khot, banh xeo, bo ne, etc. :) Go on a food tour next time you're back...heck go on several in each city to discover new foods you didn't know existed and are just as good if not better.

Hey @eli from Russia, I think you have learned that there is no one on the planet that works harder than a SE Asian rice farmer. Wheat farmers get support from Mother Nature, but a rice farmer gets a yield that pretty much depends entirely on the amount of work that they put into it.
She should learn about the country she is visiting. Otherwise she asks s t u p I d questions. But like a true Aries ♈, she stubbornly refuses to grow by learning, improving her English etc.
Bahn Mi are super popular in Australia - people queue to buy them. Vietnamese and Thai food have great flavours.
I have visited and worked in Vietnam three times and can confirm that this video is totally authentic so much so that I now want to go back for another visit. I love everything about Vietnamese people except their harsh language which sounds like they are always fighting.
Indeed they have a screetchy language but they are good humoured friendly people and like to make jokes.
Oh, not long ago I watched your video about the average incomes of Russian living all across Russia. It is so nice to see you here in Vietnam 🇻🇳 We welcome you and welcome all Russian! Hope you will find this trip peaceful and meaningful.

This is totally true. Everything can seem to be wonderful 99.99% of the time, and then suddenly some criminal psycho can come out of nowhere and ruin everything. She had some kind of close call in India, so maybe she is taking precautions beyond what is evident from the videos. There is safety in numbers, so hopefully she is travelling with lots of friends and everybody can help everybody else stay safe. The harder you try at anything, the luckier you get.
@@jackieow India is totally different than Vietnam, though. Indians are like Muslims when it comes to touching and harassing women. That doesn't happen in Vietnam. Violent crime is low there, but there is theft in the bigger cities, which is probably same or less than you'd see in Paris or Italy.
