I ordered mine, hope its everything you said it was :)
When jinx said “If the song was free your mind by en Vogue, I still would’ve sent detox home” I LIVEDDDD I love jinx
I just yelled "FUCK YEAH!" out loud at that.
This is right level of confidence! Detox shouldn’t have won her one challenge in contrast to Jinx should have won at least one more challenge (perfume commercial). Watching back Detox was really underwhelming at times and one trick lip sync for 3 times ...
@@thumon176 why do you have to undermine Detox achievements, though? Jinkx literally said she's no shading detox by saying that, and you come here to say that?
@@kohaku1992 so what about Detox? Thats some passive aggressive BS! She made it sound like Jinkx got a HELP from producers, how is it fair to Jinkx?
@@thumon176 jinxk doesn't care, so why do you care? It's not about you. And no one even knows if the producers did want to help her. But, as Jinxk said, it didn't matter, detox would have gone home, pretty surely. 3rd time in the bottom at top 4 against 1st time in the bottom from the frontrunner? You're screwed.
FAVORITE PART - The story of Jinkx riding to the events in drag on her bicycle. Risking her own safety & wellbeing too be doing what you love to do.
My favorite as well!
@@JosephAShepherd very special moment.
Portland is very bike-friendly.

Jinkx is one of the top drag queens in the world.
Both Jinkx and Courtney Act helped me to discover, and be able to finally name, my own gender identity. They introduced me to the words, 'genderfluid' and 'nonbinary'. I'm nearly 47 and I'm finally 'ME'. 💚
💖💖💖
YAAAAAASSSSSSSSSS
Right there with you! I'm 37, just figured all of this out this year and it has been so liberating being able to finally understand what I've always felt and how.
I am so happy for you!! 💜
Why is it so important?
(I’m 100% asking this as a real, legit question. I’m a biological female & have never questioned or struggled w/it, & I’ve def been one of those people that had a really close mind when it comes to gender. So if anyone wants to, or feels like it-can u explain why it’s so important? Is it validation? Just trying to understand, I guess. No one has to reply if they don’t wanna ❤️).
Jinkx and Bianca will always be the epitome of rupauls drag race winner.. when you hear winner, they are the golden standard. all the rest are either luckily talented or just lucky
100%%%%% Theres absolutely no comparison ... PERIOD!!!!
Yes, but Trixie and Katia together really grew to be very special too!
Sasha Colby's a legendary winner too
Jinkx, even after all these years after drag race, is still interesting, still talented, still relevant, and still a talent I look forward to seeing what she does next! A true entertainer!
Not "still" interesting but rather "even more" interesting and all of the other stuff as well!!!
My fav part was jinkx telling about how she would get up in drag and ride her bike to the club, then wake her nana up at 4am saying she got home alright. So sweet, personal, and funny. I laughed so hard
Favourite Part: when Jinkxs felt comfortable and bold enough to eloquently narrate her gender journey for everyone to understand and respect. It’s that particular moment when Joseph had artfully and organically created a space where she could be her best self. We all got it and we all felt it. It was intrepid, present, and prescient. It’s that wow moment. Many many kudos for you both for this kaleidoscopic experience.
Jinkx's cackle is my favorite part of everything lol
samsies!
Instant serotonin boost.
20:20. Im so glad they acknowledged the toxicity of part of the rpdr fanbase. Phi phi receiving death threats, Jaida being told she only won bcz of BLM, and now Jinkx being shamed for using a mantra. Im glad it’s only a minority although loud at times.
This whole interview was the highlight, hearing jinkx speak so eloquently about their experiences and perspectives was such a great way to hear another viewpoint
I'm a simple homossexual: i see Jinkx, i scream and click!
me too
Same.
*In Chad Michael’s voice* YES! Yes! 🤩 Jinkx is by FAR my favorite winner of drag race, she can sing, dance, act, has both stunning and campy creative looks, she literally has it all! My biggest dream is that someday i’ll meet Jinkx, she’s one of my very few idols along with Mariah and Whoopie Goldberg, and if in case somehow Jinkx is able to read this, i wanna thank you for being an A+++ entretainer and making people’s life a little bit happier, your humor helped me to get through high school and accepting and embracing being an outcast always, i wish you all the best ♥️
So emotional... ! Love it... that is the kinda feelings a true idol unleash!
I met her once in atlanta at the haters roast. She was so fucking nice. Treats her fans with so much love. She's so wonderful.❤
Jinxx is talented, smart, funny, compassionate, kind and beautiful in every way possible. There’s NOTHING RoLaskaTox can say or do to make me think all the bitterness was just for the show. Love you, Jinxxy
I loved her repeating the "water off a duck's back" so much. It was so cool seeing her realize how absolutely magnificent she is throughout the competition. Being scared or insecure isn't a flaw, and seeing someone almost larger than life be that vulnerable is quite nice.
Favourite part of this was Jinkx talking about how, although art can be used to process and integrate trauma, there's an important difference between working through active trauma onstage vs creating your art from a perspective of agency and clarity once you've gone through the work of processing the trauma. It's the first time I've heard that distinction described and it was a real lightbulb moment for me in terms of both therapy and creativity. I enjoyed the whole interview but am particularly grateful for that wisdom.
My favorite moment of this interview is my husband saying: “Jinkx and I are the same person. Futurama, Invader Zim?! I’ve changed my mind, she’s now my favorite queen”. Every layer of Jinkx is magical!
“how does Jinkx Monsoon fit into Space Pirates?”
well obviously by haras-singing Rebecca Sugar into giving you a role in the space pirate episode!
Love jinkx, hope joseph can get bianca del rio or trixie mattel soon on exposed. xxx
bianca del rio was the first person that did it
@@nivdadon I looked through old vids and I didn't see that one, but now you have told me I think I watched it🤣🤣🤣
She dresses like a older lady
Joseph said he wants to have an in person interview with trixie a couple of months ago. I don’t know if that will change or not.
I truly f e l t the manic anxiety of Jinkx’s mad lingering cackle when she’s asked about how the pandemic has changed things for her..
I’m surprised that Rolaskatox and the “rumoured” all winners season were not mentioned at all, which was finally nice to hear in an interview lol
Jinx is elegant, intelligent, beautiful on the inside as well as on the outside. 🖤❤️
I'll always love her laugh, it's absolutely freaking adorable.
My favorite part was Jinkx explaining how they “fake it til you make it.” She is so smart and talented but still a human with self doubt and very humble.
When Jinkx was talking about gender identity. I truly believe believe I found myself in this interview. So even if I dont win I want to thank you both from the bottom of my heart.
I still think, the most talented queen ever on Drag Race.... Talking so beautifully on how important it is to discover who you are and living authentically is a real gem 😊
Jinkx is that kind of person that puts smile on my face every time I see her. So well-spoken, witty and sincere. I stan a preraphaelite ginger witch. Thank you so much for this interview, I really think everybody needs some more of Jinkx in their lives)
I love Jinkx so much. She is a top winner from Drag Race but most importantly she is one of the nicest, purest, realest people I have ever seen. I adore her ugh.
My favorite part was when Jinkx talked about being patient with yourself during this time and prioritizing self care. Her words really resonated with me and reminds me to show compassion for myself.
I love how Jinkx continues to stay humble despite all their success! Such an inspirational queen 🤩💕
Love when Jinkx explained how her grandma would tell tell her if she looked okay before her first gigs! 🥺 Congrats on this amazing interview 💓
Joseph looking straight into my eyes, talking about bottoms and winking = let's say, it has awaken things inside me
Big Bottom Energy
“I still would’ve sent Detox home” - LOVED THAT🤣❤️ my favourite part!
Jinkx is my absolute favorite queen. So talented, so quirky, so many layers and she knows and shows her true self without shame. I can totally relate to channeling trauma and aspects of your personality into a creative outlet like she does as well. Love her!
When you were discussing 'water off a duck's back'. Ever since I've watched that season, its been my life's mantra. Thank you Jinkx you save my life 😍😍😍😍
When jinx talked about experiencing trauma on stage, it legitimized something I didn't realize was possible but, I legit went through with performing sometimes.
I love Jinkx so much, i love Alaska too, but Jinkx truly deserved to win that season and has continuously proven it every year since(:
Drag Race has brought some really talented people to our attention. Jinkx's talent is indeniable. In a field of performers with natural, born that way talents Junkx Monsoon will stand out through sheer force of personality. Love this queen.
My favorite part of the interview was Jinkx saying that she would send Detox home with whatever music it was! Super agree! Love Jinkx since the first episode! 💝😍
the infamous question "where were you when you got the phone call?"
On my way to a Grindr date 😂
@@Mizbeehavior lmao..
Jinkx living their truth is simply fascinating, tbh. I loved them on RPDR, and this interview just made me love them even more.
"I knew what i needed and I was willing to give it to myself". You better WERKKK Jinnxxx!!!! My new mantra.
“Have compassion. Have empathy. Have generosity. But don’t forget to, take care of yourself.” Oh so good, Joseph brings out the best in these Queens. Jinkxy expressed ecxactly how I feel, when it comes to the anxiety associated with self isolation, during these troubling times. Allow yourself to have selfish moments, don’t be afraid to express your going through it trying to process, and to give yourself the tools needed to make the best choices in life. Live authentic, Love yourself, Open honest and welcoming spaces, the lessons I’ve been #Exopsed to!
Bravo
I love Jinx! The fact that she didn't hide her anxieties was one of the biggest reasons I loved her! She was real and genuine....
A true winner can be anyone! Yessssss queen 👑. There is nothing wrong with building yourself up!
no shade but this is one of the few interviews that kept me intrigued and interested throughout. Jinkx is an old soul, so smart and elocuent.
The most talented contestant that ever graced RPDR, I can listen to Jynkx speak and sing for days...
I would love to see a ballroom queen exposed like Mariah or Vivacious in the future (:
Dude yes! They never got a background edit or anything but being queens of color I bet they must have a story to tell with their experiences.
I would love this also
Can't wait for this. My absolute favourite DR winner 👑🖤
Love you Jinxy!!
i think you’re actually one of the best interviewers i’ve ever seen, like, for real, all the research and the facts and the interview in general was so well structured and you knew what you were talking about and you gave jinkx the right topics so you both knew where to head the interview to... everything was just perfect thank you so much joseph and hands down ❤️❤️
13:09 HE FINALLY LET OUT THE CACKLE 🎉🥰😂
Favourite part: When Jinkx told us to be nice to ourselves. It is something I usually forget and punish myself for needing and extra something to keep me happy or sane in these times. So that was a very important reminder
I can not pick just one favorite part of that interview. Jinkx just surprised me with so much honesty and I love how she’s living her truth, warts and all, and that’s a HUGE inspiration to me as I try to live my own truth warts and all as an autistic/neurodivergent gay man who has overcome a ton of obstacles through the years.
Amazing interview as usual, with my favorite RPDR winner. My favorite part was Jinkx saying she would’ve sent Detox home, no matter what song they had to lipsync to. Love her.
Jinx's laugh is so infectious
I saw Jinxx play Hedwig in Seattle in two different productions of the show. So amazing! She is a star!
I met Jinkx at Monster’s bar in NYC since years ago and he’s such a sweet person. I was a big fan and after that, I’m in love😍
they use they/them out of drag, not he/him :)
I love Jinx and would be a lot more bitter about being bullied so bad in her season with hateful Detox and Roxy, but she rose above it. Huge respect 💕
A lot of that was crafty editing. Apparently Detox was asked to help Jinkx with her makeup because she had no idea what she was doing.
I love how Jinx is a very traditional queen yet extremely contemporary at the same time.
Joseph you need more exposure, by rights to should have ten times more subscribers!
Again great interview and shows again why Jinkx is one of the most talented winners of Drag Race. My favorite part was Jinkx explaining identifying as non-binary and what it means to her but also response within the lgbtq community.
I am so used to Internet drama that my favorite celebrity’s name followed by the wore “EXPOSED” triggers my fight or flight response.
Joseph, you were so correct with your "chef's kiss" comment after Jinkx explained what being non-binary means to them. I'm a straight, Irish woman who lives under a rock - only got Netflix a few weeks ago and only discovered Jinkx a few weeks ago as a result. I've been gorging on them ever since so I LOVED this interview. I thought Jinkx's description was very, very powerful and as someone who has a very open heart and mind but very limited experience, it was really powerful to me to hear and understand the description of non-binary as Jinkx described it as I previously didn't fully comprehend what it meant. To my knowledge, I don't personally know any non-binary / gender-fluid people but this frank description really resonated with me and will help me to be a better ally going forward. I think Jinkx is one of the most charismatic, talented people I have ever seen and I hope against hope that their travels take them to Ireland some day because I will be front row and centre. Thank you for this interview - I LOVED it :-)
When I heard Jinkx saying how she/he felt like a woman but was happy in a man's body that's the first time I've heard someone feel the same way I do I love exposed ❤️😍 and I love Jinkx Monsoon HELL AWAITS 💀😤 DARKNESS IS THE LIGHT 🔥💯🔥😠
out of drag, jinkx actually uses they/them not he/him :)
I'm going to make sure i watch every ad and like every vid from now on, cuz Joseph I need you to get yourself some curtains for those windows lol.
The shade!!!!! Hahaha get it?! 😅
Jinkx not being considered a "true winner" is crazy. Her underdog story was the inspiration so many people, including myself, needed. Must be nice to have self-esteem naturally!
I felt for Jinkx they were so hard on her. I was so happy she won just to show those mean queens.
I loved when Jinkx said the people waiting in line at the club would sing the wicked witch theme as she rode her bike towards them! I also loved when she revealed that her makeover partner told her to go on and win the season :,) it hit my heart 🤍
Thanks goodness for the gift of Veteran Dave! Also, I really loved when you used the phrase "Water off a duck's back". It really gave a sense of how much pressure you were under and I use the mantra now myself. Thank you for that!
"what is next for jinkx?"
Jinkx, in her head: a all winners season I'm gonna crush....
Jinkx is my ever favorite drag of all time! The quirkiness is basically the same (including hands). Loved to hear more about how she identifies and the process of being aware of this. Amazing! Thanks for the fab interview
Jinkx Monsoon is my favorite drag queen. Thanks for the interview ❤️
my favorite moment: absolutely all if them!!! JINKX MONSOON IS THE BEST
LOVE Jinkx's long hilarious elaborate answers. So mesmerizing. I'd love to see a show in person.
when she said she was stoned - girl i love you so much
Favorite Part: When Jinkx was at any point talking about Steven Universe.
My favorite part was every time Jinkx's LOVELY laugh was heard! LOL And also the hope this interview gave me that another iconic Drag Race winner, Bianca Del Rio, might be interviewed here soon. =))))))))))
Love the "Nature retreat" in Robbie's voice.
Jinkxy is so perfect! Like, this human being is beyond this world! I'm proud to be a fan!
Ps: I would love to see Dela, now!!! Do an Exposed with her, it will be amazing!
DeLa is out next week!
@@JosephAShepherd yey =)
I have never ever seen Ru laugh like she did for Little Edie
Jinkx's anxious giggle cackle is some sort of call of the wild. I hear it and I live. 😍
Choosing my FAVOURITE PART is not easy, considering this interview was so good (thank you, Joseph, for asking all the good questions!😀) and Jinkx is such a wonderful conversationalist, but I'll try.. I loved Jinkx talking about the tragic background of otherwise glamorous old-school legends, and in general - how art is connected to traumatic experiences and mental health issues.
The weed question and creativity was also something I would ask; and Jinkx's reflection on fans criticizing them for not being super confident while on Drag Race. And not to forget that great explanation of WHY IT'S definitely NOT ENOUGH...❤️❤️❤️
Jinx is such an articulate queen. Love listening to her interviews.
on as side note, Joseph is looking more and more like an 80s snack, and I'm salivating over it!
In her season she started very unassuming. I loves everything she did and felt she was soooooo special!!!! I was afraid she was too good and too different to be recognized as how far ahead of her competitors she was. I was soooo happy when she won! She deserved it 100000%!!!
Jinkx doesn't read as smug or arrogant to me at all. She's so talented I wouldn't fault her if she was but I just really don't see it. To me she seems humble sincere and gracious always.
I just adore Jinkx. ❤️
You’ll always be my winner!!!
Just awesome, bloody love watching your stuff. Quality........
........8 years later.......your still performing at the top. Oh, and 'water off a duck's back' is frequently used in England 🤪 come back to us asap 👍
I just want to see Jinkx on an All Winner season so she can sla.... oh wait. 💙
My favorite part was Jinkx showing her gratitude for her followers / fan base ❤
Both sobriety, and this color palette she has put together, is amazing and beautiful.
I love this lady so much. Such a consummate performer and down to Earth person. As a performer starting out myself, I feel like I can learn a whole lot from her.
My fav part was the whole riding a bike in drag to the show, I would have given everything to see it
My favorite RPDR winners are Jinkx Monsoon & Bianca Del Rio. I don’t know if it’s because they’re soooo funny and different from others. I like that they have true talent and aren’t just Lip-synchers like everyone else which can get a bit boring.
I LIVE FOR HER! She is my absolute FAVORITE QUEEN EVER! My favorite part was her talking about how if it was Free Your Mind by Envogue or any song she would still have sent Detox home!! Love her
Love how she's doing her makeup while being interviewed
can't wait, I can already tell this is going to be so entertaining
Honestly, this whole interview is wonderful. Your questions are great, but the way Jinkx takes it so much deeper and personal is why I love her so much.
fav part.. her going to drag race story . robbie and the "nature retreat" lmao she is so cute and wonderful
My fav part of the interview was Jinkx’s message to the LGBTQ+ community. Im a mom of, a wife, and I work full time. I am constantly running my self into the ground with house work , school work and just overall worry and anxiety that comes with life (especially this year) I forget to add my self to the lis. thanks for reminding me to take care of me. 🥺❤️
My favorite part (hard to choose b/c I just love her so, and the interview was stellar) is when she talks about people coming at her on the socials saying "a true winner wouldn't have needed a mantra"- and Jinkxy replies with "I know what I need in life" ("although I wish I said it 1,000 times less"). I could hear it 1000 times more and never not smile.
Another dope one in the books, Joseph! This is, by far, one of my top 3 YT channels. LOVE that Joseph interacts while the interview is playing. It's just all.... so divine.
