  • Description:
Scholars Dr. Julius Garvey and Robin Walker discuss the questions of who were the Hyksos and who were the Hebrews? Where they one and the same people? The historical record is explored to see what insights can be gained on those questions, as well as what light can be shed from the actual evidences currently available.
    About the Podcast:
In this Revolutionary Podcast series of conversations, the son of the late great Marcus Garvey, the venerable Dr Julius Garvey shares and explores deep thought ideas and concepts with Robin Walker ( The Black History Man ) about the relevance and need for Pan Africanist principles today. How we can utilise and apply them effectively to uplift the Black Diaspora worldwide to bring about the change we need in this modern day and age.
In the Principle of ‘Sankofa’ ( Looking back and Remembering ) the African origins and contributions to History, Politics, cooperative Economics, Religion, Science and Technology and Philosophy are explored in depth to inform the listener about the immense achievements of the Black Diaspora as a collective, and to show how we can apply unique African thought concepts and philosophies to our own lives as individuals and communities and to continually progress and improve ourselves as a ‘People’ in the present and the future for the better.

According to the late Great Hon. John Henrik Clarke, the late Ben Jochannan took a position at the al Azhar university, Cairo, partly in an effort to lay their hands on materials-probably some sculptures, of the Hyksos, rumored to be hidden at the university holdings. And, apparently, Dr. Ben was able to lay his hands on something that Dr. Clarke said confirmed his suspicion that the “Shepherd Kings (Hyksos), were indeed black skinned as were their Egyptian counterparts.look it up. I believe it was at a lecture or a conference recorded by transatlantic production

      Nonsense
      - They are depicted as pale with a little bit of brown.
      - They worshiped a God named Yaqubaa (see flindis Petrie God’s of Egypt page 145 published in the late 1930s).
      - Plutarch tells us they had “Sallow” skin in his book Isis & Osiris & that these asiatics were called set worshipers or typhonians.
      - if there were some blacks they were few & they were Arabian blacks or east Afrikan blacks not sub-Saharan Afrikans
      - look at the Jewish world today they are exactly like that mostly white with a few Ethiopians & Yemenese ppl

@@afd4017 it was merely an anecdotal story I alluded to. But your response reveals a great deal about you and how you think.
Your basic world view and axiology is entirely that of the European as demonstrated by your use of the term “below the Sahara “ and such terms as “Arabian Blacks or, was it, black Arabian “ ?! Even East Africans, by your logic, are, somehow not Africans below the Sahara. And you run to Petrie - a Eurocentric- for your authority and reference point. It all says a lot about what is generally wrong with scholarly work premised on so called western sociology of knowledge. Better learn to think like an African and apply African axiology and epistemology to your study or keep parroting the white mans false narratives

It was just an anecdote, referring to Dr. Clarke’s comment. In fact Dr. Clarke made the comment in passing while expressing his anxiety over the security and safety of his friend, Dr. Ben. Nothing there said, by Dr. Clarke nor I, was a judgement call. I was merely contributing information that may be relevant in resolving the ambiguity surrounding the identity of the Hyksos. You making too much of a deal out of an innocuous statement. Get over it.

Source: Civilization & Barbarism, By Dr. Cheihk Anta Diop
But those most detested by the Egyptians, were the Asian shepherds of all kinds, from the Semite to the Indo-Europeans. For these, no epithets were insulting enough. According to Manaeto, they called them: ignoble Asians. From Hyk = King, in the scared language, and Sos=shepherd, in the popular tongue, came the name Hyksos to designate the invaders. Egyptians also called them “accursed” and “pestiferous, “pillagers,” thieves…”19 they also called Scythians “Scheto’s plague” (cf. Cherubini, P.34)
It was the same in antiquity; all the elements of Egyptian civilization were in existence from the beginning. They remained as they were and at most simply disintegrated on contact with the foreigner. We are well aware of the various white invasions of Egypt during the historical period: Hyksos (Scythians), Libyans, Syrians, Persians. None of these brought any new development in Egypt.

The Hyksos were Kemetu. If you want to know the truth about these people, here are your clues. Go research the creation of the Temahu. Secondly, study the followers of “SET”. These two components will point you to a period where the Kemetu are embarrassed to talk about. These followers of SET have a lot to do with the Temahu. Once The Kemetu had enough of them, they were kicked out.

@@brentoniverson1020 Hyksos we’re Temehu. You may not find much on the internet about the Temehu. Most of that information has been suppressed. This is what got Cheikh Anta Diop killed, and his wife was forced to hand over all his research on this subject to the French. It is also the reason why they quickly filled the Aswan Dan flooding over 200 temples. This was archeological genocide, for lack of a better word. It all started when a renegade group of Kemetu Priests who were followers of Set started engaging in genetic engineering and they learnt how to create another human species. The problem was this human species they created had no soul. It was pale and white. The Gods and the other priests from other sects vehemently opposed this type of science as they predicted that it would lead to the end of Kemet when these “Temehu” would rise and take over Kemet. The followers of Set continued with these experiments and very soon we had Temehu all over Kemet. These were the Hyksos and that is how they were able to overthrow the Government and rule for aver 100 years. The invasion happened from within. It was not an external invasion. Eventually they were driven out, and these followers of Set who created this mess were shut down as well. Read the book, Human Artificial by author Bobby Hemmitt.

As expected the comments are awash of Afrocentrism, Nubians are clearly depicted in Egyptian hieroglyphs with recessed chin and forehead characteristics being very dark, not to mention the fact that the dept.of antiquities in Cairo possesses dozens of mummified bodies identified as being of Pharaonic lineage of which none are black. To the point, Josephus Flavius, regarded as the pinnacle of Jewish historians states that the Hyksos are his people. If truly interested in Egyptian history, the British historian Ralph Ellis, writer of over a dozen books, producer of close to one hundred videos with forty plus years invested in ancient history is probably the foremost expert on the Hyksos.

Incorrect. The African scholar has uncovered and disproved many images that were inaccurately labeled as Nubian.
Some of these depictions actually belong to different tribes, particularly those with distinctive facial scars.
Your Egyptologists have been mistaken; I conducted my own research and found that your supposed experts are fraudulent.
Furthermore, if they can't even elucidate the origins of the ancient Kemetic people, where they came from, and how their art and culture relate to inner Africa, then their credibility is seriously in question.
In addition, why are half the images of the people wearing Afros?

Individuals like Christopher Ehert, Chiek Ante Diop, Emily Teeters, CF Volney, Jean-François Champollion, and Herodotus, spanning various centuries, affirmed Ancient Egypt as a foundationally "black" African Civilization, originating from Africans in the South (Kush). Narmer, according to Egyptian accounts, emerged from the South (Kush), The Egyptians tell us they came from South (up river) where the God Hapi dwells 😂😂😂
Considering Cleopatra, a Macedonian, it raises curiosity about her perspective on contemporaneous "white" peoples in continental Europe, including Germanic tribes like the Franks, Ostrogoths, Visigoths, and Vandals 🤔

Not ALL Pharaohs were African, more specifically, those who'd invaded in the last of the dynasties. Pharoah of the Bible was a European invader. And Jew is a European term having little to do with the original Hebrews. I know it hurts to know that whites weren't the first. But y'know, yall are here now. Make the best of it. And By "best" I do not mean "worst" as in your historical pattern of "interaction" topped off by whitewashing everything that threatens your existence...but really doing the work and not reading Only those you agree with no matter how much they distort and propogandize history. Mfs mad that people want to take down certain statues but don't want whole world history taught in certain schools. Tell a "Jew" to forget their history, I triple dog dare ya.😂😂😂
