Homemade Roasted Salsa | Follow Along Recipe (Blender or Food Processor Needed)

  • Today, we will be making roasted salsa at home with the vegetables we have. We hope this meets your expectation.

    Ingredients & Measurements:
    -6 fresh tomatoes
    -1 small to medium sized onion
    -2 to 3 garlic cloves
    -1 or 2 Serrano peppers (for extra mild, add one)
    -Cilantro (few sprigs)
    -1 tsp salt or to taste
    -Olive oil

    Directions:
    Start off by turning on your stove to medium heat. Rinse tomatoes and pat dry. Then, cook your Serrano peppers, garlic, and tomatoes in a bit of olive oil in the heated pan.
    Turn the peppers and garlic on all sides until brown. Turn the tomatoes on all sides until slightly browned on the skin and/or until the skins soften and break apart.
    Remove from heat and wait to cool, then peel off skins from tomatoes and peppers. Remove the pits from tomatoes and stems from the peppers. Then, blend roasted tomatoes, garlic, peppers with fresh cilantro and onion in a blender or food processor. Add salt to taste.
