Very nice... I'm so impressed that the dentist still save a tooth like that.... But sad to say some dentist will never advice us to still save that, instead they will remove it , like what happened to my case... It's still not aching but he didn't told me like that 😒

Wow... you have a lot of patience. You actually care about your patients. How many teeth like this would you work on at one time? My dentist said my teeth weren't savable... So they pulled them all out.
All teeth aren't restorable.
Only in America they want to pull them out so they can make money on implants and then the implants fail so they end up with dentures after all’s said and done 30 + thousand later.

I asked them if they could save it and they want to charge me $5,000 plus 10% interest for an implant which to me is Insane because I know you guys exist

@@unearthingphilosophy Would have to see it to give an opinion, but sometimes the prognosis will be poor or questionable when restoring severely broken down teeth like the one in this video. To restore a tooth like this in the video, assuming that you had to do the root canal too, which was already done, you'd be looking at 3-4K easily, so the implant is not that much more.

Eu tive o mesmo problema, porém na parte superior, tenho vergonha do que foi feito, simplesmente foi reconstruindo com essa resina e deixado um canal com problemas, aí eu me pergunto qual seria a meta de um dentista, tapar buraco, com isso eu perdi o dente, cidade de tubarão.

It doesn't depend on country. Rather dentist's expertise, your finances. I'm damn sure there are great high end dentists in Jamaica too.

Hi, I'm a dental student and I really appreciate your work and talent !
I want to ask why a root canal retreatment wasn't done in this case ? The gutta was exposed and the cavity removal could leak bacteria into the canal, is the desinfection and crown enough ? Or did you prefer to do it this way and have a chirurgical endodontic procedure in case of periodontal inflammation?
In your workfield experience, did you find that redoing a root canal in this case useless and that the case succeed without it ?

You can do an RCT again, but there isn't alot that you would gain from it. Hypo rinses along with good isloation is more than enough in Post and core. Removing old gutta can also be traumatic to the rest of the dentin present.
Root canal make a tooth weaker specially in this case

What would you do, my son is 9 he is missing his permanent k9 teeth on both side on the upper. He will get braces bc tooth 9 is rotate , should he keep his baby k9 teeth as long he can or extract it bc he is getting braces anyways. I don’t want him to have problem with his baby k9 and had to be extracted and get implant. Not everyone can get implants.

Im on the same situation. I got hit in the face by the truck's windshield and broke my front tooth. Later on, it came out and I was happy and I didnt know the root is just hiding inside my gum. That's like that for like 15 years until I saw it around almost 2024. Gum is slowly going away exposing the looking bad broken tooth. I night get it removed cause I can feep a pressure and I might consider some options to get it reppaced.
I am so sorry to hear that. 😢 I asked kriss ai for options to replace your tooth and it said you can either get dental implants, fixed dental bridges or a removable partial dentures. Consult with your dentist to discuss these options in detail or just ask kriss. Hope you get it removed and replaced soon 🤍
