@@45tqk45 uh yeah, based on what Isayama has said himself, it seems like he was pressured into wrapping up the manga like that and he isn’t really proud of it. And seeing as he’s pretty involved in the anime, I can see the ending being changed. Maybe not to the point where it’s a completely different ending, but enough to expand on the ideas and plot points that weren’t expanded on and wrapped up correctly in the original ending. My guess is it’ll likely just be a better written version of what we originally got in the manga.

Fun fact: AoT was mostly inspired from norse mythology. The founding Titan was inspired from the first giant of norse Aurgelmir, also called Ymir, the nine titans represent the nine realms, the pure titans represent the giants, the big tree we saw on AoT is inspired from the world tree/tree of life yggdrasil, and the centipede looking thing that gave ymir her founding powers is called hallucigenia and it actually existed but its already an extinct creature, it lived 505 million years ago during the Cambrian Explosion, they got extinct because they couldn't compete with other species in the ocean and became extinct
Did some search on google images on that hallucigenia, turns out some of the images look like this last founding titan, but unlike the hallucigenia it has a head, its kinda like AoT is based on a "What if hallucigenia survived to evolve and develop a head?" well, we now know what would happean

The Founding Titan does not have its own unique form n I don't think people get that.
Eren's "final form" at the end of S4 is simply just a result of having no body. As his head was completely removed from his body, and that weird spine-like Titan form is a result of him no longer having a body. Which is why it also takes on the appearance of the hallucigenia

It does kind of have its own form it would’ve similar to unit Fritz founding Titan around 200+ metres
And to think about it, the process to turn into a titan (inflicting a wound, and having a purpose). What does that mean for Ymir? Why does she only make titans for those who meet the two requirements?
Possibly because she was wounded, and the Hallucigenia had purpose? Interesting to think about.
I think the transformation has something to do with a stress response. Like a fight or flight situation. Having a purpose is also probably a response to transform.

The reason Eren is a massive rib cage looking titan was because Gabi shot his head and the Coordinate reconnected the head to the body, the Coordinate's body is the massive rib cage of Eren's Founding Titan we saw in the Anime

Im 46 years old,& have been watching animae & collecting manga since i was 12.
There are some amazing classics & a few newer anime's that are really well written & amazing.AOT is definitely one of them.
It's great to see older folks into Attack on Titan. My mother watched through it with me and loves it.
My girlfriend asked a very interesting question when we watched the ymir episode: if all eldians that can transform into titans and are connected through the paths are descendants of ymir, king fritz and their 3 daughters, doesnt that mean that technically ALL eldians are of royal blood? and if ymir only lends her founding powers to members of the royal family, arent all eldians like a big family if they share the same family tree, being descendants of ymir and king fritz? are we missing something?
One of the supposed three sister’s bloodline was followed by an adopted sister
Maybe just that the king refers to the people who are pure royal blood because at the beginning of this passing of titan heritage thing everyone wasn't a subject of ymir and they just had kids with people who were not the subjects of ymir and are not pure royal blood like muggles in harry potter maybe
The royal blood are ‘direct descendants’. All other eldians aren’t royal blood since their relations to the royale family isnt strong, probably bred with other non endians and making half eldian babies (reiner is an example of this, his mother was eldian and father was marleyan).
Technically there are Eldians who aren’t subjects of Ymir
Only one of her kids got the founding titan and only eldians that decended from her are considered of the royal bloodline
i believe what made erens founding titan so large is because he had the attack titan and warhammer titan abilities, and because his head was severed from his body

Eren could have easily regenerated his body if he wanted to.... And his body has nothing to with the power he got or the form he's taken....by the end he does grow back his titan legs btw.... For his real body just as for Zeke he could have got them back too but there was no need

So there’s a correction to be made in the beginning. Ymir was not the one who released the pigs, the rest of the slaves just pinned it on her. I don’t think we ever find out who really released the pigs.

I have a theory that Erens founding titan wasn’t made of bone, but cartilage because his titan can slither like a snake, which is unusual for a bone pile to do

Erens spikes are made out of cartilage, but the hardening makes his spikes steady, because cartilage is very stiff. Then, his legs in the back are made out of bones. I think that the spikes just move forward, and the legs do as well.

This was disproven by Zeke's mentor that his titan wasn't useful in battle (tbh I dont think his mentor even wanted to go to war so that theory is still on the table)
Seeing as Eren's final form isn't his because he's technically dead, the founder had to base it off of it's own form hence the skeleton

@@fracturedframe1462 But also, this theory makes sense to me since all of the marley titans except for zeke are fairly bland in comparison to the ancient titans we see, this could be related to the conditioning of war, over time marley could've lost track of unique transformations like a whale or bird titan in pursuit of a perfect warrior. Though some may suggest that every animal titan is a beast titan but that's just not fun to me.

There's actually a good theory behind that. Since Ymir was the founder and existed in the past, present, future; she created her own titan. It is like a paradox where all timelines are connected to her.
I just really wanted to know more about Karl Fritz, the first King of the Walls. We already know Ymir's backstory, but why the hell did Karl Fritz decide to destroy his own empire? Why did he take pity on the marleyans and yet chose to lead his own people to a similar path as those who were once opressed by Eldia? Did he suffer from some form of madness and delusion, kinda like King Baelor The Blessed from House Targaryen? Thus, he commanded Ymir to follow through with his twisted philosophy and engrave it in the next inheritors of the Founding Titan, and because Ymir was a slave to the Fritz family, she kept obeying Karl's command and enforcing his ideas on his successors? Or did Ymir by any chance come into a close contact with him, similarly as to what happened with Eren, where she shared her memories with Karl and uncounsciously she herself persuaded Karl into ending titan tyranny, since she might have seen herself in those who were opressed and she might have been secretly tired and disgusted at the bloodshed she initiated? Did Ymir's pain reach Karl in the same way it did with Eren, only Karl reacted differently? So many fucking questions I'd love to see answered.

The reason she died was because she saw that king Fritz was just using her and kind of lost the will to live so she couldn't regenerate. She could have easily regenerated herself but when she saw that the king had no feelings towards her whatsoever she pretty much just Padmé herself lol
ymir wanted to die, she could've lived if she wanted to, bc she saw that fritz didn't actually care for her qand just used her as a way to win wars
Everyone is smelly, she died cause it hit her spine, not because of her will to live and that she wanted to die or that it hit her heart. It's because the spear hit her spine. It's even stated that the only reason she serves the Royal Family is cause she loves Karl Fritz.

Not her will to live, the only reason why that happened is cause of the curse of Ymir, even if she didn't want to live she still would've. She just died cause the spear hit her in the spine.

I love how they laid out what 2 millenia? So many options for different Manga / Anime prequels anywhere from ymirs origin story on up to the creation of paradis
I just read the extra pages of the final chapter and there is a page showing that Ymir didn’t actually tank the spear and it killed King Fritz and Mikasa says that it’s thanks to her (Ymir) that they exist. Maybe it was Ymir’s idea all along for her children to cannibalize her ?
You misread that, it was more of a "what if" panel which showed the vision of what could have happened if Ymir wasn't entrapped by Fritz's love and didn't take the spear to save him. Drawing right after the panel of what happened when Mikasa let go of her love, Eren and saved the remainder of humanity.

Hitler wanted a perfect society, white people with blond hair and blue eyes, anyone who wasn’t like this was to be killed. They share many similarities, except for one. All Eldians we’re supposed to be killed by Annie, Reiner, Bertholdt, and Zeke. So in a way Eren does have a sense of justification. Though that still doesn’t justify his actions.

The 240m is false statement. It was NEVER confirmed to be 240m. No one besides Isayama knows how tall her titan is.

I don’t think she came to love fritz and willingly died for him I think she jumped in front of the spear to end her own suffering in life which makes it even more tragic that she was enslaved to build the titans for the next 2000 years. And that’s 2000 years of real time we don’t even know what it coulda felt like there. He coulda been lying but he said it was like years passed all in the time he waited for eren to get there which was about half a second
