⭐️Momotaro ♂(2000/7/3)
Born in Ueno Zoo on July 3, 2000.
His father is Biju and his mother is Momoko.
His father died before he was born and he grew up never knowing his father.
He came to Kyoto City Zoo in 2010 and is now a father of two sons.
⭐️Genki ♀(1986/6/24)
Born on June 24, 1986 at the Kyoto City Zoo.
Her father is Mack and her mother is Hiromi.
When she was 10 years old, she went to Ueno Zoo for breeding purposes.
But she had a bad relationship with another female gorilla, and she injured her fingers and toes with her self-mutilation and lost a lot of weight.
When she returned to her hometown of Kyoto City Zoo, she was fine, and she lived with various male gorillas.
Then she met Momotaro and she gave birth to two lovely sons whom she lovingly raised.
Genki has a cute face with shining eyes.
⭐️Gentaro ♂(2011/12/21))
Gentaro was born at the Kyoto City zoo on Dec.21,2011,as Momotaro and Genki's first son.
Unfortunately Genki didn't have enough milk,so he was nursed by keepers for his first 10.5 months.
Now he loves his mom,and his face really looks like her.
He also loves people .
He is very close with his younger brother Kintaro and they play together almost every day.
⭐️Kintaro ♂(2018/12/19)
Kintaro was born at Kyoto City Zoo on Dec.19,2018.
He has big bright eyes and long eyebrows.
He is growing fine ,being loved by his parents and brother.

Gentaro is the best brother a young gorilla could have! He is always there for Kintaro, ready to play, even if he was just napping.
He really is an excellent and endlessly patient older brother. Also he’s never mean to Kintaro. Never teases him in an unkind way, steals his ball or toys and plays keep away etc. very kind elder brother Gentaro. When he and Gentaro are parted (because Gentaro is maturing) it will be an incredibly sad day. They have a lovely relationship. 🦍♥️

I love Momotaro’s lighthearted transformation lately. It’s like he figured out a new way to connect with his boys and it’s lovely to see. They always had a healthy wariness and respect for Momotaro as their Papa and protector but he’s definitely more approachable lately. It’s like he’s learned a new set of social skills lately and he’s acing it! 🦍♥️

I noticed something. I watch several gorilla troops on YT around the world, and Kyoto City Zoo is the only one that allows toys in their enclosure for the gorillas (Kintaro). What's with this? Toys helps stimulate young gorillas. California's zoos won't even hear of it. They don't allow it at all. Everything has to be natural, like a twig, stone, or even ropes to swing from. Look what just having a rubber ball does for Kintaro. He loves it, and it does no harm. Good for you, Kyoto City Zoo, you go!💕

I Love this family, they are so funny sometimes brothers are both getting bigger,I think Kintaro is going to be big too,he is always been feisty, but. he is overly feisty now a days,and he gets on the families nerves, Gintaro can't play every second and lets Kintaro know he wants to stop, but Kintaro keeps on until Gentaro has to shove him to stop, Kintaro is tough, because he has Gentaro to show him how., Genski, just wants to stay away from all of them.

Momotaro is the sweetest gorilla dad here lately I knew he could do it I love Momotaro ❤❤❤❤❤
It took him a while, but he had to learn on the job, so to speak. He became a dad early and he didn't get to know his own dad. He's learning.
PLUS, if there is a such thing as an introverted gorilla, Momo is one.

All the zoo's use hand signals to train the gorillas. Not exactly sign language, but it does the job.
