Follow-up q: what is the difference between beschrijven and omschrijven? Both are translated in this video as "describe".

I am not a native Dutch speaker but my native language is German and I believe I can answer your questions appropriately (Dutchies please correct me if I’m wrong).
1. Uit de verf komen is an expression meaning something is good, adequate, something stands out or to bring something out. I can only guess the origin but I’d say it’s a metaphor for „something is drawn so good that it appears real“.
2. beschrijven = describe
omschrijven = to explain „around“ (om)
Two examples would be: imagine you’re taking language classes. While talking to your teacher you forgot a word but instead of just saying it in your native language the teacher wants you to describe the word.
When playing types of quiz games where you have to describe a word to others without saying the actual word.
These would be extreme examples of omschrijven.
In casual conversation they are almost interchangeable tho.
