I have a 763 F series. Now I know what the click is when I turn the key! I've had a few instances of turning the key to the OFF position but the engine keeps running. The machine sometimes goes months without being used. WIth your explanation of how the solenoids work, I suspect my linkage is dry or dirty.
Thanks so much for your maintenance tips and explanations! You have a very valuable channel for Bobcat owners and operators. 👍👍

That would have really helped about 6 months ago! Still good info. What I'd like to know 1) I'm told by Bobcat my speed sensors need to be disabled, only they can do it, it's a simple program change, $400 please. Then 2) my hydraulics are getting "jumpy" at times, normally when lifting something heavy or if I'm trying to make small controlled slow moves. I'm told it could be a spring or o-ring somewhere in a valve body??. 2002 A300 here.

Thanks, yes it helps, my 7753 shut off solenoid became weak and did not work all the time, then the control got hot and melted, i removed it all and installed a cable shut off till i feel like fixing it, my brake has never worked, going to check that out today, thanks again.

Could you also do a video on Bobcat nomenclature? I have 863 with the Deutz engine, but how does that fit in against a 763 or any of the others? I have figured out that "T" means a tracked vehicle while "S" is a skid steer, but all of the numbers make no sense at all. Thanks!

Good video..I enjoy learning about bobcat skidsteers. Question..could you do a video sometime on the proper way to tension the tracks? I usually roll the bucket down to pivot the machine back and shoot grease until I get about a 1/2” of slack at the roller..but I was never sure if that was the correct method..I don’t want too much stress on the bearings or rollers..thanks.

If I could, I have an electrical question about by T595.
The cab accessory fuse keeps blowing. I have tried unhooking the back up camera, radio and power port, but doesnt help.
It doesnt blow immediately. For the radio, it plays intermittently for a bit before it blows.
I suspect a loose wire/rubbed wire, maybe even at the fuse panel.
Can I just push out the connectors for the affected fuse from the panel for testing? Is there an easy way to get to the back of the fuse panel? (I unscrewed it, but there isnt enough clearance to look at the back)

Want to see if you had any insight on my been having it for a while I have a s150 bobcat and it would lock up at startup I thought maybe you had to warm up it would go away it would unlock after shutting it off a few times but it seems to be locked up now and won't let me do anything thought it was the brake solenoid so I jumped that out but the bucket is locked wanted to see if you have any ideas thank you

Great video. I totally understand how these work but I am still having an issue with my S150 bought a new traction solenoid still getting a 15-03 code with six flashes of the traction lock light. I have power making it to the relay common terminal. If I short the terminals in the relay socket I get an immediate voltage drop in the system. If I ohm the contact going to the pull solenoid to ground I get .2 ohms. Seems right considering my print calls for .3 ohms on this part of the solenoid. a 12 volt circuit with .3 ohms should pull 40 amps. Any ideas?

  • @howardclarkeatthecatamaran4692

Hi, Nice video, I have an S130 with a solenoid like like your S160, my voltage to the hold coil is only about 6v, I have the wiring diagram but it doesn't give indication what the voltage should be, do you know what it is on your s160 by any chance?? It seems low but if the voltage is coming from the computer is could be regulated down i guess..... still fault finding with a machine thats new to me with a few issues and some bush mechanic repairs i am trying to put back to factory spec

I have an A220 ,, keyless control pad,, push the yellow button ,,glow plugs counter runs,,push green start button, i get nothing ,,tried to start machine at stater solenoid with external power,,turns over , but no fuel..is this because of fuel solenoid not being energized from control panel?

  • @justatool

Good explanation, the brake solenoid seems to be a common Problem. Could this be a computer failure? My 873 stards and shuts off just fine, but the brake just doesn't want to work. I appreciate your videos . Thanks from Salt Lake!

I have a 2000 773 where part of the computer went bad so I set up a group of momentary and full time switches to turn on the added electric fuel pump start it and unlock the brake. I changed the fuel cut off to a mechanical one and now the hydraulics stopped working. Which ones of the solenoids in the spool valve will I need to energize to get the hyd working??

I have more info it goes forward and backwards but wont turn it say swash is out of range but when he looks at the numbers its fine. What happened is pump went out bad metal in everything replaced everything. New pump new final drive motors all hydraulic valves cleaned and rebuilt all cylinders new hydraulic cooler everything hydraulic was replaced
