@@CrystallJamess you should actually do more videos keeping us updated with your sons locs and try and style them in different ways such as two strand twists and braided locs and cornrow locs snd maybe some natural none permanent hair dyes

❤ I tried this yesterday on my 16 month old. I had to come look for a video. The roots are hard. Lol. Ima do some two strand twists and come back when he's 2 maybe 2 and a half and loc it. Used the same products too. ❤

Aww he's so cute! I plan to do this with my baby when he turns 2. He's 18 months so just 6m to go. He's got 4c hair too, so i want something manageable and i plan to do everything myself, including the cut. I would love to see an update how your son's hair is now a few years later.

@@CrystallJamess my son's dreads would not stay. I tried twice but within a few days after they would come undone. I cannot figure out what I'm doing wrong or if it has something to do with his hair type (soft, semi loose curl pattern).

Oh okay maybe you should try the “Jamaican mango & lime licking firm wax or locking creme wax” one of those have to work just make sure to blow dry on cool & tie his hair down.. for my son I had his hair tied down for almost a week because I was afraid his would come out when he started playing. So if you have more time & wanna try it one last time I think that should work.

Try having him sit for a short amount of time & as he gets better let him sit longer while distracting him with something lol it’ll work.

I like this my son is 2 years old I think I want to start his locs but idk my bro say his hair not really finish growing meaning I want get him a lining but I don’t want to mass his lining up cuz he don’t have hardly no hair on the side cuz it’s not fully growing and I wanted to know if I get his lining u think it would mass his lining up
You could get it now just make sure the barber doesn’t cut past his baby hair, trying to make a line.

There’s no preventing it LOL my son is 4 & rolls around on everything I just take my time washing it & get it out.
His has looks really nice. Did you only loc it up because his dad had locs or would you have locked it up no matter what?
I did it because his father hair is like that lol but idk I might’ve done it regardless but I’m not sure

Yes it’s perfectly fine! Just make sure you’re wrapping it up at night so it stays neat. 😁

And I believe his hair is 4c. I have 4c and I can tell by how it’s shrivels you and how it sucks up moisture. 4c hair isn’t curly it’s coiled

hello, his locs can be combed out but as of right now they have locked which makes them permanent...if that makes sense.

No it was washed & air dried but I spritzed it with water & a little conditioner to keep it moisture as I did it.
