    The holes in the stems could be for ventilation during welding.

    Great work. Consider painting the parts you added. Filing the sharp edges exposes bare steel and will rust. Also the cut off stems.

    Very cool! i love the creative use of the quill stem as a foot-rest. you might really wanna invest in a vice at some point. They are not terribly expensive and do help out a ton when sawing and stuff :)

    why do you need a vice, or stepping on the stem? put it in the hole on the extracycle, *then* hacksaw the end off. built-in vice!

    Fantastic evolution of the beast. The seat looks really comfy. One tip from a motorcyclist for your passenger is to look past your left arm on a left turn and right on a right. Might help with the turning.

    Rad build man, the creative repositioning of the Swytch unit was fun to watch in that previous video, the extra-cycle is sweet too. In your experience, is there any way to use the Swytch to operate head/taillights in the same way as a dynamo hub? It would be sweet to round this monster out with some hardwired lights.

    This is epic mate!!! I spotted the cushion on your Insta post before I even noticed a new vid. Nice work on the cushion and the foot pegs (keep those quill bolts!!)
    Stoked to see the riding shots too. That looks so epic and fun. Doubling on bikes is always so fun☺️
    Shoutout the old Daiso Gorge st Sydney. Long gone now😢

      @@garysprojectsawesome!! Thank you for sharing this. It really helps seeing how big the bike is and how much cargo (and humans) it can actually handle, and how it looks cruising around.
      There is a fellow in my town with an Urban Arrow. He has his two young ones in the tray area, it even has a convertible style rain cover thing that he uses in poor weather. Extremely pricey though😬 I much prefer the diy ethos of your builds, especially getting yourself AND your child, AND your cargo around the place, and doing it with style☺️
      … yes, it’s a pity about daiso, they were always great to check out for knick knacks and bits and pieces. I miss them🥺

      @bigbadstretch13yrago ya it’s super handy to be able to carry everything for sure ! Can do longer rides and don’t have to worry. Just gotta be careful the kiddo doesn’t get too comfy other wise they will never ride 😂

    Love this build! I have a form quick release mount that I’d imagine would work great for hauling a second bike like your trying to do. Mount the mount on the back on the cargo platform and attach your daughters bike to it. That way it’s centred?

    • @garysprojects
      @garysprojects  Před 8 měsíci

      Ya I would love to make something like that , my only concern it makes the bike super long but shouldn’t be too bad !
