    Great video, love the approach to building furniture with basic tools the added bonus for me was showing everything warts and all, taking a leaf out of your book no one should ever be put off trying.

    Blimey!
    Did you nearly take your eye out on the drill bit - or was it an angle / perspective thing?
    Dude, it made me clutch my pearls..

    • @northernworks
      @northernworks  Před 4 měsíci

      Probably a perspective thing - I don’t remember any near misses on this one!

    I do love your approach to these kinds of videos. Even your trials appear relaxing the way you film. Keep up the good work!

    Mmmm... having a workbench with a vice to keep that drill-sander at a fixed angle certainly helps.

    Great project Pete. I have one of those drill sanding discs. They come in handy for all sorts.
    Great build.

    Watch out for the 90s and 45s on the saws, always test. They can be well off.

    Can you explain how you get your dowels and drill holes to line up so nicely for the panel? I always struggle there

    What a result! Out of interest, what size strip wood did you use for the legs? They look perfect, not to flimsy but not too chunky either

    • @northernworks
      @northernworks  Před 4 měsíci

      Thanks Callum! I used 15mm strip wood, doubled up to make each leg. I’m well pleased with how balanced they came out, visually.

    They these tenon saws -not sure i would call it that myself but whatever - they are same price as a standard saw at? Screw fix but you would get a more accurate cut i think. The cupping is actually very funny (sorry) and must be because it was drying out if you had left it a month would have been fine i recon
