That’s right! I never realised. 😅 but yeah true! She was running away from Aang and laughing! I remember that she’s from the Beifong family (rich family) love how she was secretly freakin strong!
Tenzin and Lin dated. And Bumi and Kya also knew Lin before she became chief of the police. I'm sure the only reason they actually got to know eachother in the first place was their parents hanging out and just letting the kids hand out together as well. They were lifelong friends. We see some of the gaang together in flashbacks, maybe not all of them together, and maybe we only see them during serious things, but they surly kept in touch and let when they could (since each one of them lived in a different part of the world). And that's not a theory that's confirmed. There's even a movie about them as adults coming out in October of 2025. So they definitely kept in touch and hung out. It is unsure if at the time of the LOK series they hung out, since Katara stayed in the South pole, toph lived for years in the swamp, and Zuko lived in the fire nation. But I think it's safe to assume at least him and Katara kept in touch (toph is unlikely since she said she kinda cut off any physical contact with the world and went to live in the swamp. But then again she knew about Katara not participating in the war between the water tribes so maybe they also kept in touch.)
I mean Aang being so involved with Republic city as well as Toph literally being the chief of police and Sokka on the counsel, I refuse to believe that at least weekly dinners weren't a thing. Zuko most likely also joined in quite a lot
They probably keep in some kind of contact. Toph mentions Katara outright in a casual passing comment, so it's likely that they're not separated deliberately, they're just all off doing their own things. Any "reunion" between them likely wouldn't be grand or significant since there was no dramatic separation. They're just all friends who live in different places.
Right? I don't even care if the storylines clash with LOK. I am willing to forget LOK entirely for the real Gaang to get back together! LOK took a long ride on the struggle bus during their season 2 storyline anyways.
I always felt like sokka and aang's deaths were what really pulled apart the gaang. Losing a friend is hard, aang died in his mid 60s and that must have ruined everyone's vibes. Plus they all had their own lives at that point on other sides of the world
Zuko was too busy to be the responsible king, Katara was handling Aang’s loss and teaching water bending and making sure no one blood bends lol, Toph chose the swamp life to be one with earth and she hated people. Or that maybe they're likely not to be together again because they've been missing one person: Aang (or in some way their experiences with each other because in the real world, it's normal for friends to drift apart) Hopefully they would get back together again, it would be a lovely reunion

I always thought they stayed lifelong friends but separated at their retirement ages. Like katara wanting to spend the rest of her life in the south pole, Toph in the swamp, Zuko (when he stops fighting) the fire nation
In a flashback to the bloodbender trial, you can see Aang, Toph as the chief metal bender and Sokka as part of the council. I can’t remember if Zuko was there but they remained close.
Rsther, i think the crew at the least wrote to eachother often. We know they had more adventures together afterwards and worked together to create Republic city and manage it (Toph being the police chief, Aang being frequently in the city to help, Katara married to him, Sokka being a council leader, Zuko being leader of the nearby fire nation). It sounds odd but . When you have such close friends, you dont need to talk to them every single day to feel close to them, and no stretch of time affects that - you can go years without a word and when you meet next its like nothing changed or there was no time between. I think this is how it is.
Their children met one another. General Iroh, Zuko's grandson, might have been under Bumi's fleet and he claims to have been saved by Aang himself once. Tenzin and Lin also used to date. So the parents must have met so often when they were before their Senior years. Not to mention only Zuko didn't live in the republic City but he's one of its founders and some of the fire nation's military is sent there as the naval coastguard.
They live in different parts of the world. It's not that much of a stretch. Also id like to point out that when they were young, they all settled down in Republic City. Except Zuko who stayed in the Fire Nation. Air Temple Island was originally Aang and Katara's home. After he died, she returned the Southern water tribe. Toph retires and went to live in that huge Swamp.
It would've been great if Zuko, Katara and Toph were there for the final battle against Kuvira and the only line of dialogue was from Toph: "Heck of a field trip Zuko."
I mean.. nobody ever said they never saw each other again after the end of the series.. simply Korra is not their story so we dont need to know something useless for the plot

There are plenty of people that grow up having friends from the time they’re toddlers to highschool and still lose touch later in life. Or military friends that fight battles with each other and sleep in racks next to each other for years, sometimes never see each other again once they get out of the service, or only see each other on Facebook. Aang and Katara lived on Air Temple Island with their children, Sokka was apart of the city council, and Toph was chief of police so they definitely met up on several occasions to hang out and so their children could play together. Also Zuko has a dragon and I’m sure he brought his daughter along to all team avatar’s children could be playmates
I can’t remember if Zuko was there or not, but all the others were there for the trial of Yakone. Definitely safe to assume they all kept ties throughout their lives
There are light novels that explore the story pass Ozai being defeated. It covers things like what happened to Zuko's mother, diplomatic issues that Aang and Zuko had to figure out, the founding of Republic City and more. I wish they'd do a series on that.
It must have taken a long time to create Republic City so they've stayed together well into adulthood and in flashbacks you do see Aang and Toph together Zuko is Firelord so he has to stay in the Fire Nation So I don't think they've ever lost touch. They just moved
Well their kids knew each other and they built and lived in the same city so of course they came together a lot. I like to believe Katara helped deliver Zuko and tophs kids
We are seeing them in the near end of their lives. Katara is an elder in the southern water tribe. Zuko literally came out of retirement to help kora. As old toph said gotta let the young ones take care of things . At one point Katara and Ang lived in airbender island in republic city where Zoka and toph help Ang handle the criminal elements. Tenzin and Lin dated after growing up together.
Im sure they had many reunions before they became very old. Even so people forget that Tough watches over the world from the woods. Zuko has connections because he is the Fire lord. While katara knows many high ranking white lotus members. So she would have connections with the orhers as well.
Since it’s been confirm that they stayed close in adulthood, especially after Aang and Sokka died, them being separated was probably a new thing for them. Sokka and Zuko were the ones who saved Korra after she was abducted by the Red Lotus. Maybe in the last 10 years is when they didn’t see each other regularly
Alongside what many others have said, we know aang and zuko stayed in close contact as aang often asked zuko for advice, and with katara and aang being married, katara and zuko must have at least seen each other once in a while
Sokka, Aang and Toph were all shown in the same flashback scene, being in the same room. They all lived and worked in the same city. Of course Team Avatar would've remained close.
I mean yea I highly doubt they would miss the birth of each other’s kids but also everyone (except Sokka he was already dead) had to have been at Aang’s funeral
They probably spent a lot of time together before the series started. Right now they’re simply really old and prolly writing letters instead of visiting eachother
Maybe for Zuko and Katara but Toph would just be too tired to travel to them. She was even reluctant to help her own family at start. "Why would I met them ? To remember how much time passed and how old I am ? No thank you !"
What i find interesting is why toph moved to the swamp. the last time lin spoke to her mother was (nearly) 20 Years ago before the events in TLoK. Was it in Season 3? Wasn‘t Korra 18/19? I think Toph went to the swamp After one of her dearest friends died bc Aang even Met her in the swamp and Time is a concept. Maybe something called her to Go there, its something that needs to be more explored/explained
They all lived in different countries. Without Aang and Oppa they would have a hard time visiting each other. Kitara only moved because she was related to the new avatar. Everyone stayed in the new city untill Aang passed but went home after.
@@TheMrPeteChannel I haven't watched all of Korra but I'm assuming that without Aang gluing them together they would have moved on to live their lives separately.
What is funny is when bumi and kya were complaining about tending getting all of dad's time. Their age difference looks like bumi would be in late teens and kya mid teens. So more independent than tending who would be 8ish
It's stated in 2 occasion in Korra's series that Zuko and Aang became best friends they probably hanged put a lot. Tenzin and tophs daughter dated for a bit so they they most defnetly met often and Zakka was a political leader who probably worked close with Toph. I think they just kinda went their onw ways with the occasional monthly meet up.

So I don't think they've ever lost touch.
We know Sokka and Zuko reunited offscreen shortly after the scene where Korra is revealed to be the avatar since they both fought the red lotus.
We do see zuko and Katara on screen at the same time tho
Im sure they had many reunions before they became very old. Even so people forget that Tough watches over the world from the woods. Zuko has connections because he is the Fire lord. While katara knows many high ranking white lotus members. So she would have connections with the orhers as well.
Not to mention, all of them had some position of power. Anything where world leaders are brought together would have them in it.
this was amazing to learn about since i'm an avater fan for a long time and it's amazing to know about this
Since it’s been confirm that they stayed close in adulthood, especially after Aang and Sokka died, them being separated was probably a new thing for them. Sokka and Zuko were the ones who saved Korra after she was abducted by the Red Lotus. Maybe in the last 10 years is when they didn’t see each other regularly
They did in the comics
It’s very common for people who fight wars together to fall out of touch, even today.
Alongside what many others have said, we know aang and zuko stayed in close contact as aang often asked zuko for advice, and with katara and aang being married, katara and zuko must have at least seen each other once in a while
It just hit me that, that family photo is really the "Printer ran outta ink" meme, lmaoo
Right now they’re simply really old and prolly writing letters instead of visiting eachother
plus the new avatar movie focuses on the adult gaang
Maybe for Zuko and Katara but Toph would just be too tired to travel to them. She was even reluctant to help her own family at start.
"Why would I met them ? To remember how much time passed and how old I am ? No thank you !"
I need a cartoon that shows their teenage and adult life like what happened to them after Ozai
I mean its pretty tough to visit long distance friends when you are like 60-80 age range
Toph and Katara's kids had a relationship. They knew each other and grew up together. They were all on the Republic city council.
They all lived in different countries. Without Aang and Oppa they would have a hard time visiting each other. Kitara only moved because she was related to the new avatar. Everyone stayed in the new city untill Aang passed but went home after.
When did Zuko get Druk?
Youve just made me unnessessarily sad
As you grow older life’s different less friends but always friends.
I remember when aang took down yakone adult sokka and toph was there so katara probably wasn’t far behind
Which I was lowkey mad about
When know that Zuko and Katara met in the South Pole when Korra was a little girl. And in one short comic, Katara and Toph joined their grandkids and Team Avatar for a trip to the beach.
Actually you do see them together when they flashback to the trial for Yacone! Sokka and Aang were still alive, and you see ALL of them in the same room, the only time
