it is not cheap. it is one of the most expensive rugged phones on the market. But it is loaded with features and the battery is the biggest one of any phone on the market right now. Sadly it didnt get the IP69k certification, which is a big minus

I bought it now to replace my ulefone power armor 13 and I can't wait I'm so exited only feature that is missing is my old phone has radio streaming as an option so I can stream regular radio with wireless earphones but I used like once per month so don't think I will miss it that much .
On this and other models you have reviewed with this and other manufacturers with programable side buttons, can push to talk (PTT) be programmed for used with radio over IP (RoIP) applications such as Zello? As I am an avid user of these platforms, what are your recommendations based on your extensive experience with such devices?
Other question, how about the sound, stereo? And how about the microphone? Re the mic I have a motorola g60 and I'm not able to send a WhatsApp audio in any a open public local since the mic donnot capt the sound of my mouth. Then I need always to use a wire headset.

Putting it on any car mount is going to be a challenge.

Great specs. Only problem is thickness and weight. Almost 3 centimeters thick and more than 600 grams. Besides that, awesome brute phone.

It has widevine L3 instead and a customer service individual said 3 years of software support which includes security updates

Tank 4 should have better camera software on the get go, and please include the projector. Ultrawide is a must and night vision.

There is an application in the phone that you use to activate the police lights and change the alert sounds.
Pointlesss, they could keep projector as main and unusuall feature, then add laser range finder.

8849 is a subsidiary of Unihertz, kind of like how Nubia is a subsidiary of ZTE. It's a little bit more complicated than "it's just the name of a Unihertz branded phone"
What is your opinion about the camera performance of this phone? Do you think its good enough or it needs some work?
The phone is really great, the cameras have great potential, but they still need to be smoothed out a bit in terms of software. Unihertz is aware of this and they said that they are currently working on improving the cameras and that improvement will come soon in the next update.
When you say next update we can understand tank 4 or software update?
They told me that they are working on a new software update, maybe it was already in the meantime, I don't have that phone anymore.

I turned it on so that it can be seen that the picture was taken with that mobile phone. Otherwise you turn it off.
