I am just a hobby tinkerer, but I have put a metal cylinder head in all of my builds.. My favorite blaster has run a brass cylinder head for over a year at MANY games. But the ones I have found fit nice and snug with no movement. If you have movement, you have the wrong cylinder head for your gearbox. I have upgraded so many of my blasters with metal heads and nozzles that I was able to find a stock nozzle and head that had a good seal for one of my builds.
Are you on commision for Lonex parts? Seriously, I know they make great stuff, but c'mon lay of the plug a bit man!
By paying for a tech, you are paying for their experience. Not their ability to sell their store's products. There is a line that separates the best and honest techs from the salesmen.
I have only bought one alloy head and nozzle kit that was unsuitable for a build, and didn't use it.
I am aware TEH sells good products and parts, I have many of them! And I appreciate the sharing of knowledge for the community as that is what community is about. I am thinking that one experience with a part may have put the mindset to something "safe" as no callbacks is always a good practice. Please keep an unbiased open learning position on tech videos for the futre.

For best cylinder head seal just glue them in with Sellys Powergrip so as to form a solid, perfect seal. Double oring cylinder heads are ok but this provides near zero leakage. Use the same glue on your bushings or bearings, they're harder to press back out when you need to change them but they won't pop out if the box flexes and destroy your housing... unless a bearing collapses of course. If you want 300fps most 1.3mm springs will get you there or close.

@@dijkstra261 actually it depends whether you mean hot glue for bearings/bushing or for the cylinder head. Def not for bushings/bearings but maybe for cylinder head and same for superglue. Haven't tried it there. I can se the advantage of being able to remove it if you wanted to.

Really tho. Sellys Power Grip turns a worthless standard cylinder and head into the near equivalent of a 30 - 40 dollar cnc one peice cylinder and head. Just add a double oring nozzle n Bob's yer auntie.

I've built at least a dozen gen8 gearboxes all with metal cylinder heads. Never once seen a metal cylinder head move around like that.

@@bengauci1836 haha I'm good. I have a day job, this is just a hobby for me.
I've broken my fair share of things with this hobby, I haven't seen a standard nylon gen8 box crack at the front from using a metal piston and cylinder head and the one in this video is the singularity box which ridiculously strong.
Nylon has good properties which allow it to flex and absorb the impact which is why its such a good material for this application.
The only nylon box I've destroyed so far was a gen 8 when the piston welded itself to the runners in the box. I mustn't have lubed them properly, oddly the box looked ok after I used a file to smooth the runners out but I figured after its had that much heat it was already compromised so I replaced it with a singularity.

Mk metal gearbox have a question What will a full metal run?? Facebook irregular or standard springs wise got a 1.3, M120 and M155 cut to stop over press on that piston heads "I've had all 3 heads so far to to big to small thats a nother issue and not for gel ball as they say😠??? to be modified for it. And on the mark just for the part A@#holes (the things the don't tell you money) like i order a J10 cylinder but they send a J8 but you know they had stuffed it tapet spring is like half plus the size barrel plug not to fit crap like that??. As i would like to get it on gas to stop that stress issue and keep it for the kit set from original nylon you think you would get a credit on replacement as a half cut will not help a striped nylon pin plug for selection switchs and you can't get a replacement😬😠Aaaaaaaa tec'n. @@dijkstra261 I have no ldt gearboxes myself. How do you mean not fitting snugly? I know there are 2 different cylinder lengths (69mm and 72mm from memory) and probably different cylinder internal diameter as well. I know the clear cylinders are a slightly larger ID for sure, but I don't think that is what you're talking about.

@@dijkstra261 LTD is completely differant, for starters the nozzle is 6mm instead of 8. The overall length is different as well.
I've put gen8/9 cylinder heads into an SLR box without any issues though.
From what I've seen only the APS silveredge and LTD boxes use different cylinder heads cause they are a based of the airsoft versions which have a smaller nozzle and don't require as much travel in the nozzle to allow the 6mm BBs to feed.
