    Your gentleman's club point is exactly what I have been thinking about with relation to how we see this constant negativity towards AI by many. It's basically the "chosen one" complex as I like to call it. Humans have always thought through the fact that we are conscious beings thought that creativity was a "human thing", while it certainly is not. Many people just feel threatened by AI as it can pop their egos of being "special" humans. I personally think our creativity and the idea of free will is overblown by this human ego, as a few simple tests can easily test that our minds really aren't as creative as we think but that our brain is "trained" up to bring options to our consciousness. And those processes are extremely primed by our experiences, even stuff our senses give us at this very moment. The current state of AI models really aren't any different to this kind of "thinking". The faster humans understand that their thoughts/creativity/religion/political views are products of experience and not their "identity" or "the right way to be", the faster we can understand how to to change things for the better. Acknowledging ones faults is the most important step to change no matter what kind if psychological issues one is going through. I hope AI can bring this kind of understanding without making the meaning of being human any less important.

      Ya I think the nay-sayers will eventually have to argue their points with the AI itself once it can defend it's own creativity around GPT5. I just hope they can stay tools to improve humanity.

    The new AI tools has certainly spurred my creativity and even developing stuff with Github CoPilot is just very fun. I find myself smiling as it suggests a lot of time what I had in mind and I dont have to spend time writing it. In many ways it has kept me more focused on my task as I am already thinking about the next thing to do as I do what I do now and CoPilot just speeds up that process. I have also started writing my code more expressive and easier to read as it also gives the AI better context to work with and increases it's correctness of suggestions. All in all, I do not fear them taking away my job as a developer, but I can imagine many traditional artists are a bit afraid that image generator AIs can certainly take away a lot of theirs. If anything they could perhaps try to embrace it as a tool for creating variations. I am sure in the future we can train a personal AI to our personal style of whatever art form we do and then have the AI make variations of it as you suggest and "catwalk" our way to to the final creation.

      I agree with Co-Pilot also, that was one of the first times where I started using AI in my workflow. But natural language unlocks something I haven't had before with computers and I look forward to being able to eventually asks it questions that I couldn't find answers for on Google.

    I had my non IT friends give chatGPT a try and I explained my job. Then I had them create an application. We all agreed I need to immediately plan for a new job.

      Haha ya it's amazing really. I think any job where people need to talk will be effected by this. And I hope that this can be a tool to make our jobs better and easier, not to replace us entirely.

    I think they’ve been improving it. Maybe it’s just that I’ve had a lot of coding struggles lately, going at it hard trying to learn and do new things….. I am left stunned by the conversations when trying to solve and learn tech

      That would be awesome if true. I've had mixed results since the Dec 15 update, but in general it's still mind blowing most days if I talk to it long enough. The future is actually finally coming.

      Haha ya for sure. I keep using it daily just to try stuff, and I keep telling people about it. I think I'm finally coming around to AI, but it took me a long time to be convinced. I've been fighting with "smart" devices for decades and now I see something new so I keep shouting from the mountain tops.

      @@jichaelmorgan3796 I definitely feel a bit crazy some days as I see the power of this thing and see those around me not freaking out too. I think people won't understand this things power until people run into it in the real world when it's replaced some jobs already.

      @@jichaelmorgan3796 Thanks! Ya I don't mean to become the ChatGPT guy, but I find myself actually using it and I think it's worth showing people in different ways just how groundbreaking this could be. If not now than in the very near future when GPT4 and beyond come.

    So the future is stealing other peoples' work with the help of an AI. Got it!

    • @DustinBrett
      @DustinBrett  Před rokem

      I think eventually we will grow beyond the need to label all content as being made by someone, and people craving credit. Also the line between inspiration and stealing will be getting thinner and thinner. We all stand on the shoulders of others, so if we actually had to give legitimate credit for a creation the list would always be a mile long.
