#GuiltyGear #Jack-OGuide #Season2 - Hry
I don't leave many comments, but I've been doing nothing but practicing Jack-o for about a week now and this has been the most helpful guide I've found yet! Thanks so much for the clear visuals/explanations on her zoning with mid-air minion drops and attacks! The corner pressure stuff was really comprehensive too.
Glad I could help 👍
I agree! I'm basically in the same boat!
This is my week 2 of playing Jack-O'
This guide is fantastic, not only did i learn the set-ups, i have learned my character goals, things to practice in training mode. Week 3 is gonna be a definite improvement methinks.
Happy to help bro!
This guide helped me get started with the character around 6 months ago when I didn't have an idea of what to do with jacko. Now that she's my main and I can actually win in celestial with her, I wanna add my two cents.
The first thing I would recommend with jacko is get fluid with minion movement in training. Things like holding minion, jump then release and kick in the air. Practice soccer kick loops, and hitting a minion to get another minion, just general servant interaction.
In the corner you can actually do whatever you want like mentioned in the video. The important thing to keep in mind here is that when throwing a minion against the wall, it bounces and the opponent has to block it. So you can wait till the minion do the oki for you or you can steal the turn a lil bit and use that bouncing minion as an extension of your pressure. Watch what other jackos are doing and pay attention to their pressure sequences. You can steal those but sooner or later you'll wanna come up with your own strings. Remember that jacko corner sequences can be easily blocked if you don't mix it up a little bit. When going for pressure, mix up your timings. Go for overhead every now and then. That's what gonna truly open them up.
You'll find that everyone goes for jacko cheer super in the corner. That's her strongest tool and you wanna get fluid with the character to finally implement that pressure into your game.
Honestly i fully agree with the throw spam when in the corner, for since everyone knows that jackos corner game is pretty strong and confusing their natural instinct is to just spam block, which makes them super exploitable for throws. I even did this against my friend who was way way better then me at the game and it worked on him to.
Im just learning to play jack'o as well, and so far this video goes against what my friends have been telling me and does what i am doing. (Score 1 for me)
However I still need to learn how to properly use the minions and this video is helping a lot even with the pressure.
Literally just got this game a few days ago because of the sale. Timing for this guide couldn't be more perfect as I'm trying to main her and she's the most fun out of all the characters after trying them all out.
Really helping me understand the character a lot more, but I'm a bit newbie that I'll have to come back and take bite sized pieces of it. Still getting used to all the attacks she has, but this'll be my go-to guide since it gives me a good idea of how they combine with each other better than the other Jack-O guides.
Thank you! = )
Your welcome!
She's the only character I didn't try out yet, since she seemed to me so confusing. But thanks to your great gameplay footage/tutorial I'm very excited for learning her.
Great timing! This is literally what I was looking for like 2 days ago!
Great guide, very simple, easy and straight to the point. My problem is just with the controls, kinda weird cause I’m new to this but if I ever master it but despite the weird controls, very helpful!
Finally been waiting for this, thanks brother!
thanks man! This is just what I was looking for! I have been auto-piloting the same options and needed some inspiration or just to see some more stuff, I greatly appreciate your Jack'O content
Glad I could help!
finally a good beginner guide for jack o, i only found some that are from 9 months ago
My dude, your guides are really helpful. I just stumbled onto them today. I played a lot of this character in Xrd and wanted to try her in Strive but was really daunted by the execution requirements of a lot of what I saw in guides around launch (I was seeing things like 2h into held minion holding slash and there was no way I was pulling that off consistently let alone in net play) so I stuck with Ky. But your guides make this look a lot more approachable. I wish you the best, I will be looking over these a lot in the next few days, appreciate your love for this character man and I hope that leaving a comment will help you with the algorithm.
Thanks bro! Glad I was able to help you. Jack-O if very satisfying to play and i hope you get the same joy out of playing her as i do
Thanks for the vid and sharing your insights man.
Thank you!
My dude, good looking man. I appreciate this
This was the first guide that actually picked up on what guilty gear tries to teach you in game, thank you
Your welcome! 👍
great timing holyy
i just started and those combo look sick!
new to strive from smash learning and i love jack-o so thanks for these tips i been winning some games
Aww I was waiting for the “welcome to the channel I’m ladewaybac in name *ding * and in practice” I got half of it 😂
since i main jacko i always have problems with the combos, thanks for this
Your welcome!
I literally just picked this game back up holy
Amazing guide, ill credit you after i win evo
Lol thanks 👍
been playing mostly Anji in season 1, but dropped him after the recent nerf and decided to main jack-o for a while. Thank you for the guide!
Your welcome! Plenty of fun to have with Jack-O
Anji got buffed lmao
@@braldoca oh, you think so? I mean certain things got buffed in the end, but his main (and only) gimmick - parry (or spin i dunno) - is still bad. He also got some nerfs, and his "fujin into x" is still bad, where "x" is literally everything that follows it. P? 5p/6p easilly counter it. K? 5p/6p as well. Hs? Oh, you're dead. The only thing that doesn't get Anji killed is S but it's still bad. If u get hit, you can't convert it into anything, if enemy blocks it they can just jump back. Not to say that his bad MU's like Millia or Ky are even worse now, since every top tier character got buffed.
i like the layout of this video but i get confused with the moves because you don't say the moves themselves sometimes you say kick nad i got confused as hell because i didn't know servant kick was a thing
Been struggling in F10 for a while since I just roll with the basic of basics. This info should help a ton, thanks for the short guide.
PS. any tips on fighting I-no? Most of the time she just HCLs or dives through my zoning and idk if I should do things differently/slow it down or if I'm missing something.
As a F10 I-no, CL will miss you if you dash or crouch, your minion kick annihilates our note, your jump back dust is incredibly hard to deal with especially with a minion on the ground that goes out of screen while you are in the air, and your pressure is nearly impossible to deal with. Also, learn to block high then low as we land, punish overused jS jD double overheads with 6P, and grab when we have an awkward jump-in angle (for example often we try to jump in after CL but we don't actually have time to meaty so we are just landing as you stand up letting you grab us).
Zoning is your best friend vs I-No. When she gets close use Hs to stop her dash and 2D to stop her stroke the big tree
The combos are so cool sadly I can deal with the execution so I will stick with the basics and in the low rank tower.
Cool
It's so fun how absolutely nothing in her gameplan is set on stone
*rubs hands like birdman*
Not exaggerating at all when I say this vid ended my character crisis
Happy to hear it bro!
Would it be a bad idea to try an learn this character while being a complete beginner in fighting games? Been reading she's a hard character.
When it comes to fighting games I think it's best to choose the character you like the most. Jack-O may be hard to but she is very satisfying to learn and play well with. Personally I think playing the harder characters helps you learn the game better. Lastly she is very underplayed so you have the advantage of opponents not knowing the matchup
Do you do coaching?
I currently do, but maybe sometime in the future. Its crossed my mind a few times
I don't understand how people can play these kind of games the controls themselves are way too hard to time😭😭😭 (I'm on keyboard)
Bro what are these comments rn? lol
These bots be wild and unstoppable
comment
You just had a tournament and now you decide to give this video out? What, we werent GOOD ENOUGH?=!?=! >:(
IS THAT WHATYER SAYING?
Lol funny thing is a meant to drop it earlier in the but forgot
yeah i'm not playing her 💀💀💀💀💀💀
i cannot concentrate on the video with that voice, so i don't know if the video is actually good
Its good bro, trust me
Why am I here? Why am I even considering torturing myself by learning Jack-O like this🥲 also great guide, its super concise while keeping a lot of depth but making it understandable for newer players(im only new to Jack-O and man is she a insanely gigabrain character)
She may seem hard now but once you play her for a week or 2 it will start to feel natural. Keep it up bro!
@@Ladewaybac thanks bro. I tried her once against my regular training partner and trapped him between two minions and I've honestly never had more fun so im definitely gonna try
