Anyone who has ever attempted to play any musical instrument can appreciate the world-class level of talent on this performance, including Alison on the fiddie. Jerry Douglas is simply incredible. And Dan Tyminski's ability to run up and down the scale with his voice is natural and effortless, yet special all at the same time.

What gets me is as good as this video, Alison Kraus and Union Station Live is, they put this to shame when you are actually in a theatre watching them. I've seen them many times in person and I can tell you, there is NO band that's better live. NO BAND AND I MEAN EVERYONE and Ive seem many over the years, some of the greatest and they simply pale in comparison to this band when they play live. Can't wait until they decide to tour again. Alison has been doing her own thing with Robert Plant and they've made some great music but it's time for another AKUS record and tour.

Bluegrass as a genre, can not be done anyway but " raw" you hear some of the big names in country music belting bluegrass out. Brad Paisley, ( you'll never leave Harland alive) Travis Tritt (Georgia rose) to name a few. If you can play and sing bluegrass, than you've earned my respect.

One of the best concerts I ever went to was Alison Krause and Union station in Sun Valley, Idaho. I got to spend 2 hours standing 20 feet from this amazing group of artists. A memorable experiece indeed.

It really just doesn't get any better than this. It's superb mastership over instrument & voice. It's almost spiritual, wouldn't you agree?
