おめでとう!嬉しいね!
これからも長い間楽しませてください。応援し続けます。
I live next door this this guy. Rei is such a humble and down earth guy and that makes things much better.
I’m sure you do, I’m sure he invites you over all the time and you go have tea and biscuits with him

junior match won by hitting winners instead of waiting for errors
Sakamoto might do well on ATP
He might, and I hope he does. Love me some aggressive tennis.
same @@theviniso
His opponent had an equally impressive game.
He’s basically a pro ofc he’s trying to hit winners
@@Johnnybgood76 i am shocked i saw him last year in casablanca itf i couldn’t believe how much he made progress
The celebration was amazing
Sakamoto is a monster. Great match from both juniors. I hope we will see them at the ATP level someday soon!
Monster in what?
↑This is just Sakamoto Hater, so you don't have to reply.
Obviously 🤣@@nepakichi5676
抜刀のポーズとか海外向けのパフォーマンスまでやっているのとは・・優勝おめでとう。日本人としては2人目ですね。
良いキャラしてるなぁ笑おめでとう!
Congratulations to both Jan and Rei. Absolutely amazing to get into the final!
Well done, Rei! Love your Samurai Spirit ✨
坂本選手、おめでとう御座います!
これからも日本のテニス界を楽しく盛り上げていって下さい。応援してます☆!!
Judging by the names of some of the recent winners on that trophy (Korda and Musetti), this guy should have a bright career ahead of him.
It's hit or miss. Many junior slam champs turn out to be top quality players but a lot of them just end up being top 100 level.
@@kieranrankie203 yup. i'd say it's actually not a very good predictor at all for future ATP successes.
Good serve rei sakamoto, fans from Indonesia
Amazing, congratulations to both players
Love that celebration. It could've been really cringey, but he somehow made it look smooth lol

@@rowan6686 I respect your opinion, it might be seen as cringey to some people. But I thought it was well-executed.
Japanese samurai!!
Looks like the kid has some firepower. I'd like to see him become a top player one day. The more Asian players getting near the top, the better it is for the popularity of tennis.
SAKAMOTO is the pride of Japan!🎉
good game!and congratulations!🎉

New era!!
This japanese guy looks interesting. Havent seen someone with an eastern grip for a long time. This reminds me of old school tennis.
Yes that forehand is very old school looking.

Pretty sure its a semi western

everybody complaining about his celebration is even more cringe lmao he won a fucking grand slam title he can do whatever he wants
Good thing it wasn't a Imperial Army sword drawing style .
At least it’s not as cringe as tsitsipas dance
which is stronger Kei or Rei?
Kei at 18 already won his atp title
Definitely Kei, who is a former world no. 4.
At his 18, he already won an ATP title.
Even after a few of injuries, he can still back to Top 10, and do the stable performance in the slam.
If it weren't for the Big 4 era, Kei must have been the world's No.1.
@@user-yz7re1is9j cannot agree anymore ... Wawrinka , Cilic , Del potro >>> Kei any day any time .

Any day any time?😂😂😂
Don't tell a lie. Kei was No.4 in 2015. At that time, he was ranked higher than them.

でもこの偉業を日本で全く取り上げられてないのが悲しい。そりゃテニス界盛り上がらんわ。
Sakamoto looks like he got good talent, but I sure wish he - and others - would stop that endless fistpump and menacing looks toward their opponents because it looks very unsympathetic.
he's looking at his coaches in his box not his opponent
細長いブラザーズ。
I'm a Japanese and the samurai celebration doesn't feel right. Showing off your "sword" after defeating the opponent potentially goes against Bushido (the way of the samurai). Great win nevertheless!
I also feel like that as a Japanese...
That's like Shelton's celebration.
he's a kid
let him have fun
if you really want to be historically accurate, most Samurais are actually pretty scummy
@@lotus630 In his interview, he said he wanted to be a samurai. If he meant he wanted to be "scummy," it makes perfecet sense. If he meant otherwise, which is probably more common interepretation when the Japanese hear "I want to be a samurai," he probably doesn't understand what he's after. But this could be a good trait for a fighter. And yes, he is a kid ;) Let's see how he goes!
Shut up
Ari gator
that guy looks like hubi from behind, so weird
Dude needs to put on some weight and muscles 😅
its not so neccesary for tennis
@@biscuit_eater to some degree it matters. Especially the shoulders, core and lower body. But he's a youngster so he still has a plenty of time.
He’s 17, give him a chance.
Yeah like another reply stated, it does matter to a certain extent. Andy Murray is a good example. He was super skinny when he was a teenager, but over the years handful of years he put on more muscle and grew stronger. Of course big muscles is a whole different thing. Totally pointless and probably even detrimental to the player. @@biscuit_eater

His samurai sword pose is so annoying. Just because his last name is Sakamoto does not justify such an act. Stop it. Or commit harakiri when you lose.
あのパフォーマンスはいらない
This Japanese boy will not be a great opponent to other players when he plays fully in the ATP tournaments, I think he has a very weak and quite monotonous game. The Czech player will have a good future, he plays with class and a lot of technique, it is obvious because he comes from one of the best schools producing tennis players, the Czech Republic. It's a shame he didn't win this Jr. tournament, but it's known that the current boys and girls who win this tournament don't do very well when they reach WTA and ATP tournaments, or else ask Eugenie Bouchard, who achieved absolutely nothing and is gone with the wind. IMHO!
I don't think this Czech player will succeed.
Tennis is monotonous.
There is no uniqueness in the form.
Look at the top players.
Other than
H. Hurkacz it is quite unique.
The Czech athlete is ordinary and has no uniqueness.
It's your jealousy.
This Japanese player will be a great success.
One says the Japanese player will be successful, the other says the Czech player will be successful. I say none of them will be successful. lol Let’s see who’s right. 😂…Just playing devil’s advocate.
