FIRST OF ALL, welcome to the first not really studying with nina video of 2019!!! this is also our tenth episode :’’’’)
hello neenyus and frens i know i skipped the weekly upload on sunday but i’m back on a wednesday!! in this video i’m studying korean again :)
the last time i "studied" korean on this channel, it was more of me giving my tips so bc i already have that video, this is more of a "studying" kind of video but i still mentioned some more tips i had that i didn't include in the other video!

OK but on to the important stuff i wanted to say: i finally decided to enable community contributions to my videos!!! or at least this video. i realized i have a very international audience so i thought it was about time that my videos had more language options available for captions! a lot of y’all messaged me about wanting to make captions for my videos which i am so so so grateful for so now is your chance!!! if you wanna make captions for my videos in your language, please do! korean, spanish, portuguese, french, arabic, ANY!! i will still provide english captions but i will be grateful for your contributions :’’’)

Talk to me in korean seems easier to understand... how to study in Korean seems to be a little more complicated for me at least... but both are really good. This video reminds me i should study korean today
Jocelyn Currie i still use both and I’ve been learning korean for nearly 2 years. I recommend TTMIK first and then go to how to study korean when you’ve reached maybe the 2nd level on Tmik. Sort of like a milestone
I agree. Howtostudykorean is kind of dry and tbh some of their explanations and grammatical examples can be difficult to truly understand. Ttmik is way better in terms of being able to completly understand the context. Both aren’t bad but if i learn a particular difficult grammar lesson on howtostudykorean, i check it again on ttmik. Also ttmik has lots of listening!

hi nina! i'm not korean (i'm indonesian) but i love k-pop so i'm also currently learning korean now! i hope we can meet someday and actually learn korean together :D for me, i try to watch korean variety show without english subtitle and take note of words that i can recognize, and then watch it with subtitle to re-check it. also, i try to translate any kpop news or tweets form knetz (with some help from naver dictionary) and try to sub korean videos. at first i do it just for myself bcs it's kinda fun, but now i realize it's actually help me to improve my korean much faster! although translating and subbing video may be a little bit risky bcs i need to be careful not to change the meaning based on the context, but it really boost my understanding of the language itself and the culture. i really hope one day to see you making a video while talking with full korean! love u!

I started learning Korean two years ago in the summer, but I stopped once school started and I never really continued learning. I got as far to learn how to read and write hangul and recognize a few words (much like your friend). After two years of watching kdramas and listening to kpop, I'm definitely more progressed than when I stopped two years ago. But this video is motivating me to continue actively learning once the exam week is over (4 more week days), I'll have so much free time in between work and so it'll be the perfect time. Anyways I love your videos, especially the study with me's, it motivates me to study as well, keep up the great content!!!
