My 2016 IS350 AWD F-Sport is the most comfortable and enjoyable daily driver I've ever owned. The worst part is that the atomic silver paint is so damn good that any scratch drives me insane.
Jon the Pilot I have atomic silver as well on my 17 300 AWD. I can say that the paint scratches very easily. This was true of most of my recent Lexus cars.

I make $105k a year. I know I’m not rich- far from it- but I know I make more than most people do in this country. With that said, it’s beyond my understanding how those who make less than me- the majority- somehow fit these expensive cars into their monthly budget. Do they own a home, do they save for their kids, save for their retirement etc?

Nitpicking the front fascia.. but the headlights just remind me of the Scion tC.. and the "L" shape led light shouldn't be that separated from the main headlight cluster
Although they have made some improvements, Lexus really need to get a V6 Turbo option. Bmws 340 with the inline 6 turbo and Infiniti Q50 with the 3.0T engine is way more fun to drive. I think the is350s 0-60 time is some what of a joke. Although they did a great job with the interior etc, they need to step up the performance in order to compete.
I was suprised getting walked by one of these, from 3rd through 5th gear on the freeway he always pulled on the top end hard, passed me both times at about 110, as I shift into 5th, I pulled away away in 3rd slightly, but he reeled me in, 2 good runs though, 98 hatchback full jdm type r swap b18c.
I want this car so bad now! I currently drive a 2015 Toyota Camry XSE V6 that I bought new in 2015 which I love & has been super reliable as expected, but this car would be a nice improvement & have been wanting a Lexus for a good time now. I would defiantly get the Mark Levinson Audio as I always listen to music in the car & want the best sound quality possible. The audio quality in my Camry sounds OK at best, but wished it sounded better. I also really want cooled seats, I have heated seats in my Camry, but tried out the cooled seats in a couple of Lexus' at an auto show I went to last year & they're amazing! Saw one of these cars in person the other day & they look better in person. I'm not sure if I'll ever buy one or not, but it's currently the only new car I'm interested in.
I'm probably gonna end up buying a used 2017 IS200t f-sport in gray with the red leather. I might get it as early as next week if it's still available. I've been seeing quite a few on Autotrader well equipped for under $30k with low miles & my brothers probably gonna buy my Camry which works out perfectly cause he needs a new car.

My IS was a great car & the turbo 4 was quiet & powerful enough, but needed to go back to a bigger car. I sometimes miss my IS, but I love the GS a lot more than I thought I would. I see very few of them compared to the IS since they were a slow seller sadly. The GS is much more luxurious with over 30 more features than my IS with a better ride & even better handling & the V6 is a huge improvement over the turbo 4. My IS had the standard audio system which sounded good enough, my GS has the Mark Levinson which sounds noticeably better.
I would not say eco gets you better gas mileage at cruising speed. I have a GS Fsport and drive for work. Multiples times I’ve done 10 mile stretches on highway and no difference when cruising. It regulates the throttle so your only going to save gas when taking off or pushing pedal. I LOVE my Lexus and watching this because I’m think of an IS rather than my GS. Bigger guy and family of 4 so I don’t think I reduce the cabin space.. 👍🏼👍🏼
It's definitely an awesome car, the design and shape of the car are excellent, the driving dynamics are on point and it's definitely an eyecatcher, *BUT, there are also some negative aspects* like *...WHAT IN THE BORING INTERIOR COCKPIT DESIGNER IS GOIN ON...* with these *"NOKIA 3310/3410" like BUTTONS AND GREEN LIGHTS WHICH DOESN'T EVEN FIT AT ALL.* The cockpit console at the center doesn't fit to the outer design in my opinion. I'm an interior design student beside architecture and interior design and I would have designed the console or the cockpit in general differently, more chic and elegant so that it matches the outer design of the car as well. It doesn't look as futuristic as the car looks from the outside. *Another aspect...* is the GPS- or navigation system.. I mean come on. It's a bother to look down, while being busy and keeping attention to the surrounding area, for a better view of the direction you're driving or want to drive. *The association for car and driver safety recommended as an advanced safety precaution* , that it would have been better, if the viewing way from the windscreen to the gps/ navigation system, would not be too long. Even looking down, could cost a life. That's why many car companies developed the tablet look alike gps/ navigation system and the virtual gps/navi system behind the steering wheel, to not even move your head to the left or right side (depends in which country and which side you drive a car). *In addition to that point,* I would also note that the material of the cockpit are rather *cheap looking.* *I mean you put so much effort for the majestic interior design of the LC model* *(even though you forgot to add a car assistant (male or female voice)* *who welcomes you when you get into the car or get out of the car or a voice and face recognition system for increased theft protection, but that's another story and another feedback I'll give when I've more time))* The black cheap plastic looking cockpit can't even be changed if you choose another interior color of your seats, that's so old school and not futuristic at all I mean you could have put more effort and envelop the cockpit in leather with some changable wood or carbon looking highlights (customers choice if he wanna have some wood or carbon looking highlights). *LAST BUT NOT LEAST.... Chris Herrera i had a 2016 Honda Accord touring, which is the same identical car as the 2017, and I recently traded it in for a 2018 is350 F Sport. The accords transmission is very sluggish and lazy. Shifts way to slow and Honda purposely has it set up to shift hard just to give you a sporty feel to it. Which it doesn’t. If anything it’s annoying. The Accord also has a horrible turning radius, the android Garmin system becomes really slow and laggy over time and let’s not get into how easily that shiny interior scratches up. I loved my Accord but that transmission was a massive softy.
Hi, I'm stuck between a 2018 c300 benz or lexus IS300 F sport, which do you believe would be the right decision? test drove both and still can't decide.
I have a 2016 C Class and might be moving to the IS 350...or 300. I love the benz but the seats are tiny....and I'm only 5.4. My issue with both is the trunk size. The technology on the radio on the benz is awful....there isn't even a scan button for the radio! lol
riccccccardo that funny. I almost bought an Audi over the IS 350. Called a few VW / Audi mechanics. All said the Audi will be in the shop frequently and be speedy to service and repair.

If this were a BMW, which one do you think the IS350 AWD F-Sport most resembles in terms of power and performance? I know it's not as powerful as a 340i (the B58 is a beast of an engine), but is it sort of halfway between the 330i and the 340i?
elusivellama you need to test drive both. They drive remarkably different. I bought the Lexus over the BMW due to ride quality. Lexus IS smooth as silk. The BMW is a rougher ride.
the IS350 competed with the 335i when it was out before they bumped the power for the 340i, if you want power on demand go for the 340i, if you want the best handling the IS350 would be the way to go. imo you can supercharge the IS350 and it becomes as fast as the M3/M4
I have a 2015 IS350 F-Sport in this same color and I love it. However, it needs a DCT, he says it shifts fast but I've had it for 2 years, and there is a noticeable amount of shift lag. Other than that it is great, I'm glad they made the display a little bit wider in this model! Lastly, he is right everything in the car is so quiet which is awesome, have the defrost on full blast and you cant hear it.
TheMalachi9495 got same car. It need more torque or to lose 3-400 pounds... quick and real fun to drive though. It’s made exact same power since 2006 so kinda lame in that sense. But I love it.
ian dubria Acura TLX is a rebranded last gen Accord with the option of SH-AWD. It's still FWD setup with a transverse V6 that hasn't really been updated in a while. In other words, it's an old econobox family sedan with outdated tech and a slightly nicer interior. The A-Spec model is pure profit, it's just some fake exhaust tips, extra badging, new wheels and some other shit. Honda thanks you for wasting your money on an Acura. The Lexus IS350 may be in need of an update, but at least it's still RWD architecture. The V6 engine actually got a significant update for 2018 (switched from the 2GR-FSE to 2GR-FKS) with dual injectors, integrated exhaust manifold, upgraded oil sump, lower friction pistons and some other stuff. RWD models get a limited slip differential.
The 2018 IS350 F sport GCC spec in Dubai from Al Futtaim has LEDs in the interior. Same thing with my 2015 LX570 Sport Titanium DA Plus, however some '15 LXs don't have them.
Lexus will give you better styling, better reliability & decent performance and Audi will give you better performance and better AWD system for comparison.

Just took my 2nd generation IS to dealer, and they had a gorgeous new IS in black. They are definitely much better looking in person than on film.

Chris Herrera i had a 2016 Honda Accord touring, which is the same identical car as the 2017, and I recently traded it in for a 2018 is350 F Sport. The accords transmission is very sluggish and lazy. Shifts way to slow and Honda purposely has it set up to shift hard just to give you a sporty feel to it. Which it doesn’t. If anything it’s annoying. The Accord also has a horrible turning radius, the android Garmin system becomes really slow and laggy over time and let’s not get into how easily that shiny interior scratches up. I loved my Accord but that transmission was a massive softy.

Hi, I'm stuck between a 2018 c300 benz or lexus IS300 F sport, which do you believe would be the right decision? test drove both and still can't decide.
I have a 2016 C Class and might be moving to the IS 350...or 300. I love the benz but the seats are tiny....and I'm only 5.4. My issue with both is the trunk size. The technology on the radio on the benz is awful....there isn't even a scan button for the radio! lol
Are these only available in certain countries?
The Lexus badge on the steering should be in chrome like the early IS350s.

riccccccardo that funny. I almost bought an Audi over the IS 350. Called a few VW / Audi mechanics. All said the Audi will be in the shop frequently and be speedy to service and repair.

If this were a BMW, which one do you think the IS350 AWD F-Sport most resembles in terms of power and performance? I know it's not as powerful as a 340i (the B58 is a beast of an engine), but is it sort of halfway between the 330i and the 340i?
elusivellama you need to test drive both. They drive remarkably different. I bought the Lexus over the BMW due to ride quality. Lexus IS smooth as silk. The BMW is a rougher ride.
the IS350 competed with the 335i when it was out before they bumped the power for the 340i, if you want power on demand go for the 340i, if you want the best handling the IS350 would be the way to go. imo you can supercharge the IS350 and it becomes as fast as the M3/M4

I have a 2015 IS350 F-Sport in this same color and I love it. However, it needs a DCT, he says it shifts fast but I've had it for 2 years, and there is a noticeable amount of shift lag. Other than that it is great, I'm glad they made the display a little bit wider in this model! Lastly, he is right everything in the car is so quiet which is awesome, have the defrost on full blast and you cant hear it.
TheMalachi9495 got same car. It need more torque or to lose 3-400 pounds... quick and real fun to drive though. It’s made exact same power since 2006 so kinda lame in that sense. But I love it.
Definitely does not need a DCT, those suck to daily drive. If anything they need to put their new 10 speed in the IS or tune their 8 speed.

ian dubria Acura TLX is a rebranded last gen Accord with the option of SH-AWD. It's still FWD setup with a transverse V6 that hasn't really been updated in a while. In other words, it's an old econobox family sedan with outdated tech and a slightly nicer interior. The A-Spec model is pure profit, it's just some fake exhaust tips, extra badging, new wheels and some other shit. Honda thanks you for wasting your money on an Acura.
The Lexus IS350 may be in need of an update, but at least it's still RWD architecture. The V6 engine actually got a significant update for 2018 (switched from the 2GR-FSE to 2GR-FKS) with dual injectors, integrated exhaust manifold, upgraded oil sump, lower friction pistons and some other stuff. RWD models get a limited slip differential.
I drive the 2016. Thinking of swapping it for this one soon.
The fsport is so ugly now on the 2017 and up is. That plastic in the front is too tacky. The 2014-2016 has the nicest styling.

The 2018 IS350 F sport GCC spec in Dubai from Al Futtaim has LEDs in the interior. Same thing with my 2015 LX570 Sport Titanium DA Plus, however some '15 LXs don't have them.

Lexus or Audi? To me the Audi looks very plain and boring.
Lexus will give you better styling, better reliability & decent performance and Audi will give you better performance and better AWD system for comparison.
