Just took delivery of my wifes 2022 DURAMAX Tahoe after waiting 6 months for Chevy to build it. Time to start customizing. Amazing machine. I have 3500 HD 4X4 Crew cab long bed DRW. It cost an extra 9K to go from gas to diesel. The Tahoe only cost an extra 1K to go from gas to diesel and I am getting over 30 mpg but it took 6 months to get it. Well worth the wait.

Worked as advertised but a couple of notes.
1 get a long 4-6” TORX bit, Torx screwdriver……magnetic proffered. The upper bulb is forward of the lift gate actuator and some what of a blind spot. The screws are only about 1” so even with a manual Torx socket should only be a few turns.
The bulb housing trim panel fits easy. The upper portion has a slight flex part of the weatherstripping seal that slides behind the oift gate actuator.

I have a 2022 Tahoe and I swapped my reverse bulbs for bright white LED some time ago and received an error on the dash that would NOT go away. $40 down the drain because I couldn't return the bulbs after they were already installed. I've taken it to a very reputable custom shop that works on very high end vehicles (Rolls Royce, Lambo, Bentley, etc.) and was advised by my friend and technician there that I would need to have resistors installed in the electrical line for the LED reverse bulbs. He did say there are some manufacturers who sell bulbs with built in resistors, but recommended to avoid purchasing bulbs with built in resistors because the resistors built onto the bulbs often times are just not durable and can short and you're out $50-$100 for bulbs. Having resistors installed on the electrical line for the reverse lights seems to be the best bet because you then can go purchase quality white LED bulbs and not have to worry going forward. The reason the rear turn signals work well is because they already have resistors on the electrical line. Any light that has a flashing function requires a resistor on the line (i.e. Hazzards, Turn Signals). I will be creating a "How To" CZcams Channel very soon for 2021-2024 Chevrolet Tahoe owners. Please stay tuned.

And yet a 20k Corolla hatchback has LED everything on the outside. Also not to mention this Tahoe doesn't even have the brake or reverse lights LED either. The LED holdout in the automotive industry is just nonsense at this point now that LEDs have become the norm everywhere else and have become incredibly economically viable. It is just ridiculous how every Tahoe from the start, yes even the very early 90s models believe it or not, has sported an OEM LED third brake light and yet here we are over 20 years later waiting for all the other lights to be LED as well
