    What is the functions of the section lines?

    • @farida7777777
      @farida7777777  Před 2 měsíci

      Section lines is there to indicate a cut through your drawing. The cut helps to see detail on the inside of an object or part.

    I've seen some people section washers. Are we supposed or not? Or does it depend on your school? (if that's even a thing because this has to be a universal language)

    • @farida7777777
      @farida7777777  Před 9 měsíci +1

      Good question. In general they are not sectioned. Sectioning is only there to get a more complete view as to what is happening on the inside of an object. If hidden detail will not be able to tell the complete story then sectioning is used in complex objects.
      I know that Autodesk Inventor sections washers and it is removed manually by the students to show an unsectioned washer.
      Anything can be sectioned as long as it does not remove details from an object that is already clear.
      I rather prefer washers not to be sectioned as per the regulating drawing standards.

    Can I ask? Is it possible to do the aligned section and then broken out at the same time? Thanks

    • @farida7777777
      @farida7777777  Před 3 lety

      Dependant on the complexity of the part, you can. If a simple section is not enough to communicate the detail for manufacturing the part, breakout sections may be added to reveal the part detail more efficiently.

      @@farida7777777 sorry I can't add a picture but I describe the details. Can you explain to me if it's ok to add a broken out

    • @starlightbyeol6902
      @starlightbyeol6902 Před 3 lety

      There's a 3holes with the same level in front view (2holes with the same size and 1hole in the middle smaller than the other holes) and then if I do the aligned section, only 1hole will intersect the cutting plane line and then the smaller hole in the middle can't see in right side view. It is ok to add a broken line in right side view which is the result of aligned section??
