I was always a huge fan of Nanna, and her revelation of her childhood at the end of act 5 is one of my favorite elements of the story. I thought that it was very touching that Alpha John and Beta Jane both took revenge on the Condesce not by attacking her, but by living life to the fullest and not allowing her to poison their lives from the upbringing she gave them. I'm sad that Jane seemed to be largely lack a good conclusion to her own character arc.
This is kind of random, but in my programming course, I saw a girl who looked EXACTLY like Jane. I'm not kidding. She had everything, the white shirt, the glasses, the hair ... EVERYTHING!
I was going to talk with her, but I was a bit embarrassed(she was quite pretty) and left the room and went home.
Sad that...i never have seen her again after that :o(

So, yeah...the Earth C election might be a parody of Trump vs Hilary.
11-11-11 was the release date for skyrim. Fitting as the sburb alpha is essentialy an RPG on steroids. November 11th at 11 o'clock is also the end of a humongus tradgedy(being WWI) and right before another tradgedy of the same kind. Beta and Alpha wars if you will. This also forshadows her role as Earth C Hitler in the epilogue.

Jane’s foolish belief nothing is strange even goes into Namco High, where she is ignorant of the unnatural students at the school and strangely enough she thinks Terezi and Davesprite are really dedicated cosplayers despite how they’re both from the same webcomic.
Life is connected to pleasure and food. And forks. And spoons. And cakes! Feferi's hive is shaped like a cake, Meenah was really good at making cakes, and the Condesce is literally Betty Crocker. And Jane was the one to lick the lollipop, also connected (although indirectly) to the Life aspect.
Also, Maids tend to "create themselves" through the aspect. Jane, who creates trough Life, got three alive versions of herself in the alpha (two of them are reborn as sprites, which are also connected to Life).
Y'know... it's kinda weird that Jane had a crush on Jake, and that Joey's mom's initials are E. Claire. Considering Jane liked baking so much, and an eclair is a baked good, I always had a theory that Joey's mom is Jane; and if it was Jane, it would also fit with the whole 'J' name thing they have for humans.
Homestuck is 10 now.

I’m glad the epilogue is in fanfic format, cause otherwise it would have music, and homestuck won’t be the same without the full music team
I have a theory as to why Jane is one of the most awful characters in the epilogue.
Spoilers for the epilogue !
So remember when Grimbark Jade puts the tiaratop on Jane but is put to sleep by Vriska in the new timeline and then Arquiusprite removes it? What if as Arquiusprite is working on it, the tiaratop plants a small piece of the Condesce's personality or belief or something like that into her mind as a last ditch effort? It would explain why Jane wants to keep the trolls under strict regulations in the meat timeline when she's president. The Condesce was known for keeping trolls, especially the low bloods, under control. The small piece of the condesce in Jane's mind slowly grows as the years go by. It would explain why Jane isn't shown as a xenophobia right away. Plus she grew up under the Condesce's thumb basically. She was like Jane's role model. Jane also grew up thinking that crockercorp was going to change the world for the better. I'm guessing she would probably ended like she was in the epilogue except to a much lesser degree but with the tiaratop planting a small part of the condesce in her mind made it so much worse. What do y'all think?

In the story of The Little Red Riding Hood, the wolf ate the grandma, Jade is the wolf, and the grandma is flexible. It could be Jane, The Condesce, or Jade herself, but either way, it ends up in Jade voring (eating somebody whole in a fetishistic way) somebody.
I saw this in my notification and got scared that it's the actual epilouge, thanks for filling the Roxy (haha get it void) in the meanwhile

The consorts in the second universe represented the fanbase, completely silent and apathetic and unwilling to interact with the author by sending in suggestions for character names. Everything is as still as a grave because the fanbase refused to allow any worthwhile discussion, a mindset that they kept with them for years and only now we are starting to see that fade away

@@alecciarosewater7438 The problem is that, as far as i know, the fanbase was not silent at all. On the contrary, a lot of people were really existed. There is even the famous picture of the Jane cosplay 30 minutes (or something) after the first act 6 update. Hussie just named the kids by himself because he didn't need name suggestions.
Of course i could be wrong.

eh, i'm pretty sure crocker derives from the word crockery meaning "plates, dishes, cups, and other similar items, especially ones made of earthenware or china"
You mixed up Dead and Void sessions (reasonable tbh) but other than that, I guess if we're pointing out the Red Riding Hood connection, it's worth noting that Jane also has some Through the Looking Glass associations. Around the time of her first entry, she follows Lil Seb (a rabbit) to various plot points, ansmd her personality as an innocent who thinks she has all the logical answers but ends up confounded by the setting's nonsense is similar to Alice herself. Also, as noted, she first appears literally on the other side of a looking glass.
EDIT: oh yeah, and the command that introduced NANNA'S ASHES for the very first time was "John: Fondly regard cremation", yet another Problem Sleuth reference.
