Kaiba the Revenge - Cyber Jar Cloning Bug (Yu-Gi-Oh! Power of Chaos)

Is Cyber Jar alive or dead? I'm here to show it can be thought of as both at once (like Schrödinger's Cat) as it can get sent simultaneously to both deck and graveyard in this game. Winning Cyberjar from this duel was icing on the cake.

Thanks. The bug here is done when Cyber Jar doesn't get destroyed instantly by battle either by having higher defence than the attacking card or by being protected by the Waboku trap card and then using Monster Recovery on it right before it's own flip effect would normally destroy it. Cyber Jar then gets returned to the deck from the Monster Recovery spell card, but the game also gets thinks it gets destroyed sending a second copy to the graveyard effectively cloning it (which is visible as a normal when you view the graveyard in game). Normally you can only have 1 Cyber Jar in your deck, but by using this it's possible to have many more. I tried just using Monster Recovery on a Cyber Jar I flipped myself and it didn't duplicate it. The only way it seems to duplicate it is when it was flipped from an attacked, but not destroyed, and then returned to the deck right before it's flip effect takes effect.

@@haidar2636 It's alright, it's not overly obvious what's going on due to it being a replay and not live gameplay where I could show the graveyard contents. Also, I do consider myself quite fortunate to have been born here in Canada and to have grown up in a place that doesn't see much crime or violence. Sure our technology/telecommunication may be a bit behind the rest of the world, but it's overall pretty nice here. One of the great things about here I'd have to say is the weather. We get a little bit of everything here for weather, including plenty of snow every year.

i was born in lebanon and its one of the worst 10 countries in the world, it has an economical crisis that is one of the worst in the last 150 years,we lost almost 30k in the bank cuz of the crisis. no fuel now in lebanon peopke started using donkeys, barely any electricity left even in ministries. hyper inflation and poverty.
im fortunate that im in France now, trying to find a work to stay there, others have no chance but to get stuck in Lebanon for ever cuz they are poorer than me.
just enjoy life to the fullest and value what u have my bro

5:40 how does the AI chooses to attack a defence position monster while there is a weak one in attack mode

The AI seems to know when you set certain cards like Cyber Jar as it will always target it. Similar if you tribute set a high attack monster, it'll use ring of destruction and potentially destroy one of it's own cards since it can't really target the face down with ring of destruction.

I've been looking for this game for years, but I can never buy or download it... can you help me?

Unfortunately Konami only released the disc versions for each of the Power of Chaos games back in 2003 and 2004. They have yet to release it elsewhere or make it a digital download on a place like Steam. I'm still hoping some day they re-release it and maybe even fix some of the many bugs it has, but for now I guess the best I can recommend is to check yard sales, second hand stores or used/old electronics stores, and places like Ebay.
Until July 2018, Capcom's Megaman X7 and to lesser extent X8 was in same situation, but Capcom created the Legacy Collections and now all their Megaman games can be purchased from Steam including the hard to find (in North America) X7 and X8 games. While it does have it's issues, it's at least a way of legally obtaining the games and hopefully Konami sees they can do this as well as I'm sure there are many that would love to be able to add this game to their collection. It'd be an easy way for them to make more money and would please many of the older fans of the original series.

Why you can have 2 cyper Jar?

In this game, it limits you to having one copy. Some cards are considered too powerful to have 3 copies, so some it only allows 2 copies, and some it only allows 1. Cyber Jar, Monster Reborn, and Change of Heart are all ones that it only allows a max of one of each.

Cyber Jar is a flip effect monster and the effect activated
U activated a quick play spell Monster recovery that chained with the Cyber Jar
And yes the effect still activates after he was sent in the deck cuz are activated and Cyber Jar still triggers
After the chain the resolve phase triggers that activates the effects in reverse order (from the last one to thr first one)
Is not a bug
It's a game mechanic
For Example my opponent activates a monster effect that lets him to soecial summon a monster,I activate Maxx C to gain cards as long the opponent still special summon but he activates Ash Blossom to negate the effect amd i activated Calling from the Grave to negate and banish the ash blossom which is chain 3
Yhe resolve phase starts,Calling from the Grave triggers negating Ash Blossom effect
Chain 2 starts and it won't activate and chain 1 triggers which is Maxx C

There is only one Cyber Jar in this deck as that's the maximum number allowed in the deck in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Power of Chaos. The bug is that this one Cyber Jar both returns to the deck and gets sent to the graveyard at the same time with this combo turning that one card into 2 cards each time the bug is done (one in the deck and one in the graveyard). By the final turn I'm able to get 4 Cyber Jars out on the field in the final turn.
