Ijs. Only around 18% of American drivers can handle a manual transmission, according to U.S. News and World Report. Camaro produces 6 speeds to include the ZL1. Oh also the Mustang.

If these dudes are smart enough to download software to bypass the systems immobilizer. I'd imagine the dudes doing this are smart enough to learn manual. People stealing new camaros are not your typical thieves. Practically every camaro ive seen stolen in my area has been parted out within a couple of days from the theft date. These ain't your "kia boys" type thieves. A manual can only help, but I definitely wouldn't rely on it to save your 40k car. Just spend a little money on some real anti-theft devices.
@@baileyf1998 I've read on other forums where some manuals has been stolen and found a few blocks away, clutch fried. I don't think they're as smart as some may think.

@@joehenry9546you’d be suprised how many Kia’s and 1998 Yukons and Expeditions have been stolen. Just the people who own them don’t have the money and time to make videos.

They tried to get mine , car alerted me "onstar" , then alerted police "onstar" after calling me on phone "onstar" . Secondary anti theft disabled ecm and tcm . Still broke the window though. Stay safe frens
I have alarm kill switch and 2 steering wheel locks plus a no signal box and pouch if they get through that they can have it and I have a tracker too
I was one of those individuals who went from Dodge to Chevy; but in my case I brought all the anti theft paranoia with me and employed all the tactics I used with my Dodge-I thought I was cool until this started; it’s wild out here-stay ready 🤙🏾
This is why as soon as I got my car home from the dealership I installed a hidden kill switch. With the kill switch on I can hand you the keys and if you don't know where it is or how to reset it the car won't start, hell even the dome light won't come on
My 23 2SS was just stolen on 7/2/2024. Luckily it has GPS on it so it was recovered, but it had some damage.
I have a ZL1 with a manual transmission. Its garage kept. Those that have the dumb idea of coming in to try and take it. Understand that you and whoever you come with, doesn’t matter how many of you come. You’re definitely not going back home. You can read and laugh but don’t be that example for others to learn from. Coming from someone that hate the air you breathe..

They’re gonna drop value like crazy when they drive off them lots. They are mass produced and on top of that luxury car expensive and a 12% interest rate with perfect credit would make even discounts look bad.

Sadly I'm one of the ones that sold mine. I have had 3 different challengers. A sexy black 5.7 looked old school! My first love. Then bought a scat 6.4. Then hellcat. Never thought in the past 10 years I would own anything else but a challenger. But didn't want to lose my life over my car....😢😢😢bought a Tesla lol 😂😂😂
I dont even own a comaro, but im here because ive noticed like 3 or 4 comaros pop up in my local stolen car page in the past few days. Seeing 2 or 3 kias in a few days sure. Really common and known car to steal. Seeing a camaro that many time is alot. So the word is getting around. Least you should do is get a steering wheel lock. From what ive read dudes are using the obd port to bypass the fob. They then remove the onstarr tracking device located above the driver side headrest. They then are being parted.
I have a 2017 Camaro 2SS and I live in Texas. My Camaro SS has been stolen twice. Both times they broke one of the windows out and programmed a new key fob via the OBD port. So anything that has to plug into the OBD port is useless. I recently installed an IGLA kill switch. Is $1200 installed but you can get in my car with my key fob and you cannot start my Camaro. The IGLA System Uses the factory button of your car to let key in a PIN code the ranges from 4 - 20 digits. The IGLA also disables your OBD port when the kill switch is enabled, they can’t reprogram fobs but even if they did if they don’t know your PIN code the car is a paper wait and will no start. I do not work for IGLA USA but I am an advocate. It doesn’t void factory warranties and it’s so small it will not be found try the thieves. Check it out for yourself.

One of my homies almost had his Camaro ss stolen . They broke out his window , left a screwdriver and dipped. It’s manual so maybe they saw the slap stick and couldn’t figure it out 😂

Great video but they definitely won’t surpass challengers or chargers in vehicle thefts. Those cars have barely changed in 10+ years and are still highly sought after. Especially with mopar being heavily connected within the culture.
Happened to me 2 weeks ago with my 2018 SS redline edition. Parked my car outside the garage thinking I was safe since it wasn’t a scat or cat 😑stole it within minutes and totaled it out with 2 days 🤦🏾♂️
Just get an oldie (such as a Crown Vic) and supercharge it. I watched a CZcams video about how to install a Procharger on it. Best anti theft device... NO remote start🤣

That's really just depends on what part of the country you live in. Mopars in Atlanta are by far the most stolen car. No one is really checking for Camaro or mustangs
in my parts they just want tires at the moment.

The thing that you could of also mention in your video Rubix requires no money of any kind in addition to what you already have to secure it and that is the fuel pump relay. Pull the relay,the fuel pump cannot send no fuel to the engine people when the theives try to start it. Get to know your 40,50,60,70,80,90,100,000 dollar vehicle folks. That simple!!
It really depends on where you live. Like in Texas, owning a pickup truck is the worst thing to own because they are stolen at a much higher rate than anything else. I think it’s the Ford F-150 that’s the most stolen in Texas.

Cali is terrible. The cops don't enforce theft laws there. Shoplifting in broad daylight not even hiding faces no more, no surpise car theft is at a all time high there also.

Personally I don't care how fast the Dodge cars are or the Chevy Camaros, I'm sick of seeing them all over the place stolen and driven by-------- getting chased in Arkansas and eventually crashing. The mustang is a far better looking car than either one of these.
