Thomas Bouric Well it was a really common tactic to put swords in oil so when they hit the enemies sword, the sparks would ignite the oil. Oh and Edward Thatch used fire a lot so he could scare people

Gangplanks W is a cleanse.
QSS and Scimitar, as well as Rengars empowered Roar, can cleanse away the death realm.
But the Summoner Spell Cleanse doesnt work.

Changes to triforce next patch is also an indirect nerf to gangplank. Leave the king of top lane alone :( I like one shotting ADC's with mah barrels.
Actually, the 20% cdr is great! getting 45% cdr with him is a cinch now
Sides you can get your crits with the 6.12 IE and ER, and usually I build PD with it so I cap my CDR at 45% without the CDR boots cause of the mastery. 3 barreling is so much easier now XD

+Doeniel02 Its a meme based on Gangplank's "Remove Scurvy" which removes ALL Crowd Control effects (Slows, stuns, binds, etc). It can become ridiculous on what effects it removes. Also, I think there was a video about that somewhere.
I really like how you redisigned Gangplank. He feels much more interesting right now.
As an avid Gangplank fan, I'm very excited for this revamp. I've always liked Gangplank for his self sufficiency and overall sea-dog charm. I'm not too thrilled with the voice compared to the original but hopefully this gives my scurvy captain some much needed respect and a bigger competitive edge out in the field. Very excited and good job Riot.

Finn Holt they removed the silenced shot on it actually and I think they got rid of the radio effect and helicopter sounds on his ult.

I'm really happy my first love in LOL, Gangplank, is getting an update but I'm scared for the voice pack. That's one of the reasons I loved him at first, it was so unique and iconic(both the voice itself and the phrases), I fear I won't "feel" him anymore :/
Also, I'll miss his E. This new one's good but that helped him jungle and split push sooo much! I know it's a weird role for him but it workes great in the right hands.
What is the theme that begins playing at 1:01? It is featured in the Champion Spotlights for Ekko, Tahm Kench, and Gangplank, but none of the others, and I can't find it in League's Soundcloud.

Nothing can be perfect, and there's a difference between great and good. I noticed that in everything that is changed, added, or removed in LoL, there will always be people who would straight out state that they hate it. I honestly kinda feel bad for Riot. Here is a thought. When you rework old champs, such as Ashe, GP. Keep both options available. Effectively creating two ways to play the same champ, or make it once you reach full mastery of a champ you unlock the second way to play them AKA the rework of them, but keeping both options open. Even when your wasting time in norms that would make it interesting If both teams have the same champ yet one is using option A and the other option B.

Why bother? Reworked gp would be stronger in every way. How dumb would it be to go into a game with the weaker version of a champion?
Matt Johnson I would say so, but in the current meta both Ashe and GP fall off, by a lot. What GP was good in S4 was killing assassins, but since this new meta kicked in GP's strength was reduced. His passive deals now true damage and his E is a slow + armor reduction and procs crits, AoE Crits. Good against ganks or for ganking.
Some people think that's too OP, nerf him, but with the current meta being tanks, GP can no survive the waves of CC and the extra health.
I really like that for the fact that the Sion was so good as a fighter top lane! Ad ofc, never liked the ap sion.. sad they changed him :/
