If Glock magazines have “9.13.94” date on rear of magazine they are made during the Clinton ban of 1994 and don’t relate to when the firearm is manufactured. You have a late model gen 2 as Glock started doing a 3 pin design right before gen 3’s came out in 1998 due to cracking frames.
Those mags are post-ban mags. That is why they have a date on them. It has nothing to do with the date of manufacture. I bought a gen3 police trade-in and have five of those LE/GOV'T mags. I love it.
Your slide has 40 SW stamped on it which puts this at the earliest release of this gun. Glock soon after dropped the SW off the caliber designation because they didnt want to advertise a competitor. I have an early 23 that was made in 1990 with the sw on the slide. Cool purchase
Yeah i think u may have a keeper on your hands ! I have a gen 4 300 if i didnt pay for 20$ cosmetics and its beat up pretty rough still and like 30 shipping . Good vid
Yeah Austrian made ones are more preferable. I dont think theres really a huge quality difference though but. Surprised a gen 4 would be beat up that much then.
Great video, been subbed for a while now. I have a Glock 22 gen.4 , thousands of rounds through it with not a single malfunction, but I stay away from steel and aluminum casted ammunition . Gen. 2 ‘s are a good looking gun. Just wondering what is your upstairs gun?
@@scooter4849 hats off to you,you know your stuff, came here because I just picked up a g2 g21, after falling in love with my 19x. Man let me tell you, I've put 1000 rounds of reloads to factory and cheap aluminum stuff never fails, but the 92, your old school bro, you know Marcus latrell had to chase someone who shot his dog,he was on the phone with dispatcher. Told them " im chasing them doing 90, I've got a gun. I've got 2 berettas." Probably grabbed one from the house and had one in the truck, but what does that tell you. He's going with what he knows works.
I just bought the same handgun and am wondering how to read the serial number. I have been to many sites to figure out how to read it but can't. Any ideas on how they were numbered differently? Also I thought it was cool that on the bottom of the mag is the 4 digit badge number of the officer that had it.
The magazines that came with it are not gen 2 mags they are gen 4 look at the cut on each side of the magazines made for the gen 4 glocks so you can reverse the mag release
Yeah some slide wear and fade but yeah i mightve been a little bit modest on it, and no i have no seen any with seatbelt wear, didn't even consider that to be a thing but now that you've got me thinking about it, that seems like something that could be pretty common.

Ahhhhhhh thanks for the correction. yeah ive got several now as well they're fantastic.
Best looking of all G22 gens imho.
Agreed
Just ordered one of these from Officer Store online. $279.99 before shipping & taxes which is outstanding.
Toss the aftermarket mags and don't be afraid to use the factory mags.
Yeah I'm only going to continue buying surplus mags from this point forward.
I'm a fan of .40. I own an XD40 service model, M&P shield 40 ..and recently got a gen 5 Glock 22 for $497 new, Austrian built, came with 3 mags.

I just picked up a G22 made in 96. It still has the 40SW
I just bought the same gun at my LGS and my mag has the same date stamped on it 😁

@@scooter4849 My Gen 4 22 LEO is pretty beat up as well. Runs like a champ though.
@@klorglork6917 Mine too so far. as to be expected really.
That's a really old one I think it might even be semi collectible. I've seen the Austrian version going for quite a bit more .
Yeah it said made in Austria on the frame, forgot to show that.
I wish they still made them without the accessorie rails it just looks cleaner
i also hate the look of the finger grooves too
I just picked up a gen 2 from the pawnshop today, I haven’t gotten a chance to shoot it yet though..
180 grain Gold Dot
i just pick one up yesterday same gen 2 ,
How do you like it so far
The the mags you keep loaded are the ones you had a malfunction with?? 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
I had one malfunction with each one. Since then ive had no malfunctions with either. Ive shot 200-300 rounds through each magazine.
Just got mine today. Gonna get the 9mm barrel

Honestly have no clue. i tried doing the same as you and had no luck
Mine works perfect.
There is no difference between the USA and Austrian Glocks.
VERY GOOD
I love glocks
