- So many have asked me about childtraining, and so today my hope is to begin laying a foundation for sharing what I've learned about this topic over the years. There will be more on this in the future. I hope the mothers who follow along are encouraged today by the words I share. Abide in the Christ for this motherhood journey and He will give you the strength and wisdom you need.

I was holding my breath this would be a video about a specific parenting method or technique and feel so encouraged it wasnt at all. I love the constant refocusing and reorienting on Christ. Depending on Him, obeying Him, and being in constant relationship with Him will be our greatest help in spreading His glory and kingdom on earth while we are here, particularly in the lives of children and in the walls of our homes.

I'm so glad I found this CZcams channel! I'm learning a lot from it even though I'm not a mother yet, and I'm only 18 and not even married. But my desire is to lead my future kids to God. What also gets me is that society is trying to normalize laziness. The same people that say "you're enough" are the same people that think living messy is okay lol.
Like you said, it's a struggle to keep a clean house, but with discipline and the strength from God, it is an everyday reward.

I just brought home a newborn to my toddler girl of 3 years old and two weeks in the tantrums started and freaked me out. . I was immediately hit with my new reality that i've resigned my job to stay home with my girls and husband which is going to be a 24/7 responsibility.. no more nanny or hired help this is gonna be my ship to sail and I freaked out started doubting, fearing. With the encouragement of atleast two friends, my husband and ultimately prayer to God my whole mind and spirit have been renewed for the challenge... this really is the life i've always wanted but just like anything it takes doing it to get used to it and then of course God sent your channel my way.. He never ceases to amaze me. He is really a loving Father who knows just what we need when we need it. You have helped me. God continue to bless you and your family. ❤ from Jamaica 🇯🇲

I am SO with you about not liking the “hot mess mama” trope. It’s too easy to fall into and use that as an excuse. I don’t want to live in “hot mess” town. I want to strive to be better. I want my home to be clean when people come visit, though I don’t judge others for their homes. It’s nice to hear this opinion from someone else!

I am only a soon to be 16 year old girl from Finland, but my fiancé is from america. I want to be a godly, homeschooling, homesteading mom. I still haven't found a channel on youtube that I think represents more of what my dream is, and that truly is from a bible perspective than yours. Keep doing what you are doing, it's inspiring to me and a lot of others! There are people who fully support teen sex outside of marriage and teen gender changes, but then are unsupportive and offended by a teen who is engaged to be married. It’s also important to remember that different cultures get married at different ages.

Nice family and a wonderful mother. I really appreaciate what you do for your Kids. I'm also a mother of three children and i know how difficult to make them attach to the preachings of God, especially nowadays. Infact, we are a muslim family. I find through your videos that we share some commun objectives, like how to be dedicated to God, how to educate children, and how to be good mother. Just to make you know we believe in Jesus christ please be upon him as we believe in all the messengers of god like Adam, Ibraham, Moses,, Noha and Mohammed, peace upon them all. I'm really happy that im writing for.
Jesus isn't just a prophet, though. He is God in the flesh! The Savior who was foretold by all the prophets. He is the only one who can take away our sin and make us clean in the sight of God.

Hi Michelle. Parenting is hard, but we and our kids are not perfect. And don't compare your life too much to others, you have no idea what goes on in people's homes, meaning, don't think other people's lives are perfect, because you don't know what goes on in their homes behind closed doors. What has helped me in my home is to declutter and have very little items and more open spaces. I thank Dawn the minimal mom on you tube and others who helped me with that. The kids don't need a lot of toys. They can play with items in the home or kitchen. For small kids, something to pull and pack and build, hit. Pots and pans and mud, rice, sand etc. A place to dig. Something to swing on and hang from. Play play with broken items like real irons, microwaves, laptops, telephones.. reading. Duplo, dolls or teddies. Food can be a few items that the kids actually eat, maybe just a 7 day menu on repeat. Make sure you have the items in stock for that menu. And if the kids are whiny and crazy and don't want to rest, take them outside. These are things I have learned. But there will be good and bad days. It's all part of parenthood. If you can afford it, get a nanny, friend, granny, student to come visit while you're at home to play with the kids while you do some cleaning or if you feel comfortable you can go run errands, or a maid that can clean while you play with the kids or bathe them etc. Thinking of you. ❤
This is so true. What encourages me is to realize motherhood is a MINISTRY-look at the ministry of Paul and especially Jesus!!! Ministry is about recharging in the Lord regularly to get filled by HIM to get out there and stay in the ministry! It is a ministry to Shepard children day in and day out and it is often joyful but also exhausting. do not know grow weary in doing good for in due season you will reap (Galatians).

Thank you! So very kind of you. I really enjoy the creative aspect of video making so even though it’s more work, I plan to do it this way. It’s truly fun for me! As far as head covering, I have a post on that here abidinghome.substack.com/p/christian-headcovering I need to work on a modesty post bc it’s a bit of a long answer. Not church rules though, just the convictions we came to as a family from studying various Scriptures.

I want to ask the question, if you allow me to do. I like that you teach your children at home. How did you start teaching them at home and why did you prefer studying at home rather than school?
I do like it though it can have its challenging moments of course. The full answer as far as why we do it is a bit long, but the main two reasons are this: First, we want to give our children a Christian education and we can’t afford Christian private school, nor do we think that is necessarily the best option for our particular children. 2nd, our government schools here in the United States teach many things that are completely contrary to what we believe, so that was not an option for us. I’m thankful for the freedom to choose this, I know many in other countries cannot decide to homeschool because of the laws.
I strongly agree with your opinion. You are a mother who cares about your children, and any mother would do the same thing. In fact, I know many people who preferred to homeschool their children in the United States and the United Kingdom, because schools began to teach things that are not normal to children to learn, and by force as well.
