I just did my 20yr old van. Same paint but quarts. Its oil based. Sand everything 80grit. Wash, wipe down then wipe with acetone (cheap). Tac down before paint. Product called Flood Penetrol add to paint 4oz/qt. Add Acetone 2oz/qt. Thins out the paint. Mix well. 1/4 nap roller. Roll on thin coats working about 5 minutes big stokes up down side to side. Consistency of thick water. Go over once.. Flood additive eventually smooths out roll marks. 24hr dry. Sand with 400grit. Clean and tac. Second coat. 24hr dry, sand or buff 1000grit. No clear coat needed. Big van total cost $200. Buy a 20pk roller skins.. Did it on my driveway. Way easier than spraying. Toss the roller after each use. Tac roller with tape gets the fuzz off. 1 week entire van done smooth.

If you sanded it with fine sandpaper with water and then polished it with a machine it would be even better than it already is.

Talk about keen.... He's even painted the cat !!!!
But seriously black exposes the most paint imperfections and obviously white the best.... But hey ! Who wants a white drifter right !!!!

Did my car with rollers in parking lot of mall 😜. During plandemic height...which was good, cuz nobody wanted to approach me. " Guy like that, probably ain't vaxd" came out ok. For first timer. But I really wish they made a roller tapered towards both ends ( kinda like bowling pin...Not just rounded.) So as to not get those edge lines.

Another little trick is to take some tape and do your roller with tape first to get the lint off at I think you got a lot of lint in your paint is from the roller I think and then once you get it off with a tape than your roll out some paint on newspaper. You ll have a smother finish

Wet-sanding will overcome most paint job defects.
Then bluffing, sealing, and waxing, that's it.
    Don't waste too much money.

Yeah definitely was the main focus of the video you can paint your car for cheap! And make it look like something if you put some time into it. I didn’t spend a whole lot of time on it just because it’s a drift car and it is going to get beat up.
