    do rough wiring before insulation, ceiling, and walls. or install some flex conduits and you can pull wires later.

    Looks like the cables that you have coming off your batteries to the bus bars are a little small. I would keep an eye on those since they should be a min of 4AWG.

    I would have installed all for strips and electrical, Audio before insulation... That's the way we do new construction house's.

    After 5 years and watching 1000s of conversion videos, yours are some of the best produced. At this point and battery technology rapidly advancing, the days of complicated setups with many components seem to be numbered. I would really consider an AIO like the Ecoflow Delta Pro or the Bluetti EP500. Seems the way to go now and the nice thing is that they can be easily taken out/swapped out. I would wire everything DC to an Anderson connector and just plug in to the AIO. Neatly run some extension cord bars out of the walls to the AIO for the AC power. Simple and done; fewer things to mess with; and easily upgradeable as the years and technology advance. The AIO does everything and can be taken inside your sticks and bricks. The only thing I would permanently affix to the trailer is an access hatch to be able to feed in a cord to recharge or some portable solar panels.

      @@diycargotrailer Great vid and mod! I have a new 7x7x16 waiting on conversion. I don't agree with going the All-in-One route because you get so few watt hours per dollar spent. Also, I seriously doubt many people would be able to trouble shoot and repair/replace a bad component (like they would have had they built/installed the system themselves). They would simply suffer until they reached a store opened their wallet and purchased another AIO genset. I am however in full agreement that batteries are the weak link in d/c power systems of just about any kind. I have my eyes set on 1000 watts of panels and a host of components like yours. But 600-amp hours of lifepo batteries are going to cost 4 to 5 times as much as the rest of the set-up combined! KEEP ON KEEPING ON. Build looks great, can't wait to check out so more of your footage.

    have been watching your build videos since the beginning. we have our own CT/camper conversion that we have been working on here and there for 3 or so years. just an FYI, if you plan to go to RV parks. most of them have all of the utilities (power, water, cable, internet) on the driver's side of the RV/Camper. probably a bit late now, you will just need to carry a longer 30 amp power extension cord. great build out. always like to see what others are doing, and what ideas can be borrowed for our own build.

    Confused it appears you have the power converter going to the buss bar feeling power in. You also have the 12v battery going to the buss bar also.
    What determines which source to draw from?
    It looks like they'd be doing the same thing at the same time .

    Make sure you're fusing is correct on all your low voltages I saw a guy with a cargo trailer catch fire and burn his whole trailer up. You can have the same amperage on 12 v or120 v. You get too much gold you can have a fire.

    Nice build! But one question, do you have a charge controller for the battery or does the AC/DC inverter have something built in to take care of this?

    • @JohnDoe-dp5vo
      @JohnDoe-dp5vo Před 2 lety +1

      I was wondering the same thing. Seems if the battery has full voltage/amps being pumped into it constantly, it's going to overcharge and fry, and possibly explode or cause a fire. It's a nice build, but that inverter directly connected to the battery makes me nervous.

    • @davidmanen5495
      @davidmanen5495 Před 2 lety +1

      @@JohnDoe-dp5vo
      I think that without the charge controller it will shorten battery life and do other damage. But maybe the inverter has a dedicated battery output? I do not know what some of the new inverters have.
